Nice adventure , great gear and good times. Missed the session.
There was a very hard to spot session in there. 🙂
One of my favorite Cat Stevens songs, Peace Train!! Great reviews of the gear! I like your keeping it real and honest approach!
You've got great taste! Thanks so much for watching!
Looked like a chill trip. I dig the backdrop. Tent looks solid.
The tent is amazing. I was shocked at how easy and innovative it is.
I got the XMid 1 this year too and just used it in the Black Elk Wilderness. It’s such a great tent!
It is indeed! I'm taking it out there this week!
Love it, Buckley ... I don't get out near as much as I'd like ... but I always do it in my Durston 2P Solid (and therefore worry about nothing ... best piece of gear I own ... other than my Hilltop Packs gear of course).
It's a brilliant tent! My old bones prefer the hammock but this is a close second!
Loved that intro.
I’m definitely going to try that Peach Cobbler 😁😁
It's amazing Jason. My favorite Peak yet.
That Near Zero pad looks very cool, but uncannily similiar to Nemo Tensor... so much so that I wonder if they have an IP case headed their way
I'll have to take a closer look. I found it to honestly feel better than the Tensor though.
Thanks for the trail suggestion. I found both preparation canyon and brents trail from watching your videos, im sure the castle trail wont dissapoint. Love the badlands content.
It makes me happy when people find places because of my videos! Thanks for watching friend!
They're gonna name that new dinosaur after you - Buckleysaurus
That sounds fair! 😀
Enjoying your videos. Originally hail from that neck of the woods
Much appreciated! Where abouts did you live out here?
Nice work there Buckley
Thank you friend.
Nice sleeping pad! I’ll have to check that out. That cobbler is the best!!🙌
I'm giving it another run this week. It's a great option!
Jealous of the x-mid. Wanted to get one last fall but they were all sold out. Got a Marmot Tungsten UL instead. Then I had Covid and a MI in the fall, septic shock in the winter, surgery in the spring and still getting back in shape to go backpacking this fall. One of the things keeping me going is watching videos likes yours. Can't be eating that peach cobbler though...
I really appreciate you watching and I'm glad it gets you pumped to backpack! Hope you're on the mend and out soon!
Sweet new tent. That sleeping pad looks pretty nice. I wish I had a free weekend to get back out there. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Adam!! I might be here all winter and next year so maybe another trip?
@@BackpackingwithBuckley for sure.
Damn.. I want some peach cobbler.. sounds good and looked good too.
Thanks for the video brother
It's amazing Mark. Best backpacking food I've ever had perhaps.
We just bought the cobbler but haven’t tried it yet. Now I can’t wait!!!
It's soooo good.
Interrupted AT thruhike attempt. After skipping 750 miles due to plantar fasciitis, I got back on in Massachusetts, slipped in the mud in New Hampshire, and realized that my left knee could not slow my descent of Mt. Moosilauke. I took 6 days off, did another 16 miles, and had a repeat of the faulty knee. Just had my first ever MRI. Knee joint is extremely loose.
Waiting for results.
I don't think that I will try this again if they tell me to stop. 😢
I just turned 70, and I have hiked 1,075 miles! Ouch!
Maybe "regular backpacking" isn't so bad. Cool gear and great scenery, Tim. 👍
Take care.
Regular weekend warrior backpacking is still amazing Daniel! Best wishes on your knee sir!
@@BackpackingwithBuckleyHike is done! I have two tears in the meniscus of my left knee. 😢
Awesome as always my friend. Setting up that tent….hysterical dude lol.
I like to include the real side of backpacking. Lol
such is life my friend, such is life lol
Nice tent! And an unexpected rain shower to put it to the test too 🏕 🌧👍. That peach cobbler looked like 650 calories well spent 😋 🍑👌
Thanks for sharing another adventure in the stunning badlands.
Huge like from us as always
Shell and Pete😊👊👍
Shell and Pete....you are always the best!
That wind didn't look fun. Great trip other than that. Thanks for taking us along.
Some days I get literally angry at the wind! Lol
Jejejeje vuela vuela
Great video Tim! I wonder what those bones were
I hope to fond a knowledgeable Ranger that might know. I'm guessing bison though.
Wish I would have climbed saddle pass, but there were humans there. Love my sunglasses and your ugly mug too, Timmy!! Thanks for the sunglasses 👓.
My xmid doesn't have magnet doors! 😢
No magnet doors? Well shit! Miss your face brother!
Good to see ya bud. I’ve spent some time in the Durston this summer. Solid tent. The Near Zero pad looks decent too. Good stuff bro. What are 3 things you’re grateful for? Cheers.
3 things?
Good friends, nature, and weed. 😀
I've become a trekking pole guy but i've really thought about getting the z flick poles for the times I didn't want to bring my trekking poles. How do you like them man? Glad you joined the Durston club BTW! Cannot wait to try the cobbler.
The poles are very sturdy and weigh nothing. I love them!
windy!
The wind is relentless out here.
When does the backpacking season there end (without considering it winter camping)?
Probably mid November, maybe earlier in the mountains.
Was that Hank Hill singing at the beginning? 😆
I should have known you would be the one to notice that. It was indeed Hank Hill!
kinda bummed you didn't lick that toad. awesome to see ya in a tent.
Maybe I did?? Lol. The tent is pretty sweet.
My wife just made peach cobbler for me. Mmmm
I bet yours may have trumped this, but for Trai food...it's next level.
I like camping😅
Me too!
Another fun adventure. I’m glad to see you like that tent. I got myself that tent for my birthday. I was really looking forward to its maiden trip this week with my boy but instead I caught the Covid. 🥲.
Get well soon my friend and get out ASAP!
