All 6 of those fender bolts on my 07 CTS just spin 😢😢😢. The MN rust had gotten to them. It makes changing the bulb a bit more of a challenge! My 07 had factory low beam HID's. I didn't realize that until I ripped it apart, got the correct HID bulb only to realize the ballast was toast.😢 Mine also had the headlight washers built into them instead of the DRL. My 07 doesn't run DRL's at all. Whenever the parking brake is off, it either just runs the markers in the bumper, or the auto headlights kick in of its dark enough.
I just watched your exhaust setup video, pretty cool! I went with a magnaflow x pipe and 2 in 2 out magnaflow into stock Sport tips from an old TH-cam video of someone else's. My buddy that has a hotrod shop welded it all up for me and did some amazing pie cutting to piece it all together. He does awesome work. It is not as loud as I would have hoped, but sounds nice when you open the old girl up.
My 07 is a CTS Sport with the 3.6 and 6 speed manual transmission with the limited slip rear end. She's a very rare bird, pushing 190,000 now. The 3.6 sounds so damn good with a stick shift behind it and a good exhaust setup. I'll have to try to get some videos this spring.
Damn a 3.6 with a 6-Speed?! That’s RARE! I remember trying to potentially get one as a parts car and they’re just unicorns at this point.
Now the headlight washers i thought about swapping over to eventually, but it being such a niche and expensive part now kinda makes it unreasonable for now.
And the X-Pipe into the sport tips honestly an underrated setup. It’s not too quiet, but it’s definitely an enjoyable “sporty” kind of loud compared to the stock resonator/mid-muffler.
Do you happen to use the CadillacForums? The people there in the Gen 1 CTS forum would probably be shocked to see a 3.6 6MT Sport!
I bought mine in 2019 with 107,000. Kind of wish I had stored it every winter, but it has been my daily driver since then pretty much. I used to do Uber and Lyft when I lived in Wisconsin and first bought it. It's funny how many people finally realized they're in a manual transmission Cadillac or that one was ever made. I check almost every day nationwide for a 2nd generation 3.6 DI manual. They're even more rare, most are 3.0's that are manual. I know last week there were 2 coupe 3.6 DI manual CTS's for sale. Both were very low miles 2011's. Apparently, there were 65 coupe 3.6 M/T's made in 11. I would love to find a wagon with the 3.6 MT combo, not sure if any were made.
I'll have to check that forum out. I finally broke down and bought a double DIN modern stereo with backup cam for it. For now I'm using the kit, but while my factory stereo is out on going to attempt to modify if to fit the double DIN like everyone does, so I can reuse the information center part. Mine also has the wood grain on the sides, so the black rough plastic is going to look like 💩 in there🤣.
@@zachkelley1830 yeah, felt that regarding the radio situation. I don’t believe that they made manual V6 wagons though. The plan in the future is to try to find a CarPlay Double Din that will fit in the Navigation unit bezel I have. Cadillac dealer didn’t want to unmarry the old vin and program it to my vin, which is their loss. I need to do some more things with my interior such as seats and the carpet. Not sure if I want to redo the trim as well inside.
Thanks for the instruction. My question is where did you put the ballast? The headlight is too small.
Dude my cts is set up almost exactly like yours. The STS wheels, sport rockers and rear lip, the hid headlights. Differences are mine is silver on black rims and is lowered.

I just bought a pair of halo lights for mine and they look sick but now I’m a 🤬 the conversion kit looks dope I was waiting for ur video after read ur post on the forum
Yeah the conversion was pretty simple, and I seem to be fortunate enough that my HIDs were actually good. Heard some mixed stuff in the reviews but I was lucky to get a good batch. Will recommend if you’re down to have something period correct.

@@cadillac9142 There’s a part you grab on the indicator stalk. You can push it up to turn them on and off. Nice to hear your CTS is getting stuff done!

@@Youngsnazzy231 Just hands. It’s not the best thing because I have to pay attention to both camerawork and doing the job, but it’s what I have for now.
I’m trying to get a muffler delete on a 07 Cadillac cts what exhaust tips do you recommend and where can I find them?
If you’re going for a muffler delete, I’d suggest 3.5 or 4in tips. I have 4in Stainless Steel tips on mine. I bought mine off of Amazon, from UPower.

eBay! They’re made for the CTS-V, but You just swap the lens over to the base model.
@@KSSheli’m guessing you just heat the lenses up and slice through the adhesive to swap them? or it it different than that?
@@wbrannen7 I swapped the housings over between the ones for the V over to my base both housings work with either bracket. Bad wording on my part.
