THE CTS GETS AN UPDATED EXHAUST SETUP...

In this video, I update the CTS's Exhaust. Last year, I have done everything from Headers, Hi Flow Cats, to even getting a custom 2.5in catback exhaust setup done for it. After half a year, I wanted to tweak with it, so I had some LCGP Resonators added in the back and had my Exhaust leak fixed.
I definitely am enjoying this new setup, and I hope you guys like it as well!

Thank you! Personally I think deleting the rear mufflers and throwing on a Straight-Thru muffler would be a good start. Dealing with the mid-muffler is more finicky in my book, because even with a muffler delete, the car still sounds good for a V6.

I did the rear muffler delete and had the local exhaust shop swap the factory dual in/dual out resonator for a dual in/dual out x muffler from Jones. Sounds pretty good to me.

Would flowmasters sound good on my 2.8 v6 super 40 series looking for more aggressive tone without changing headers

Personally I wouldn’t go Flowmaster. However, I would recommend getting an LCGP resonator for the back and doing a muffler delete!

How many miles did your CTS have when you had to change the timing chain??

Mine threw P0008 at 90K. Didn’t have it fixed until 105K.

I got this one from a junkyard, but you can find it on eBay! It’s a generic mesh grille that’s V Styled.

They’re discontinued now, you used to be able to buy them from American Muscle.

@@ryansmith1471 There’s not many long tube headers anymore for this kind of engine. BBK is the only one, OBX is pretty rare too. I’m 99.9% sure the header I have were made by AM themselves.
