Great video...no one else has the steps needed to remove/replace the xenon bulb...good call on the screw size for the bracket...I was trying to twist it out like Austin Powers trying to rip the mask off the old lady..."why won't this come off..."

Kimberley --- Is there a way to fix the driver's side shutter? I read that there has been an issue with the wiring to the solenoid that controls the high beam shutter on the CTS with HID Xeon bulbs. Any informtion or links would be great. Thanks
There might be but some were some play but buy one instead on a junk yard or try to pop yours open and take out you solenoid and try to search for one online
I think you should film this through a much narrower slit so the video is less than a quarter inch wide, then you'd be good to go Why people think such a narrow video is a good thing is beyond me
I don't buy the don't touch the bulbs I just put in a hid low beams high beams and fog lights I'm sure my hand touched the bulbs and still working 2months so that within a second idk there are magnetic screwdrivers so you don't loose your screw

This video was a lifesaver, the dealership tried charging me $550, I purchased the bulb for $99 and a star tool for $5.50, labor was free.
Wtf were the hell you bought them from search on amazon for d1s hid bulbs and you can find them for $25 dollar for both of them

Mr. Carver I have 2008 CTS hid the low beam works but no high beam would it be the ballast?

where did you get the bulb, I bought one but it was white and had a yellow tint. I have the xenon and they have a slight purple to it
Use amazon searching d1s hid bulbs
Then look for the ones with 8000k those are the white bright ones

I was able to get both screws loose using T10.

He does remove the headlight from the plastic.

Salman Jan You have to take the bumper off then the headlight. It has I think 10 clips holding it on.
He bought the bulb online from a place in cali.
