I clicked LIKE as soon as you said, "I remember it was like yesterday because it was yesterday." 🤣 My dealer showed me a Stealth-Red Speedtwin 1200 the other day, and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm downsizing from my Indian Springfield, which replaced my N1K.
Cracking video funny too these speed twins are fast enough for anyone the torque and sound are addictive handles very good too I've just swapped a 19 plate for a new one so it's running in time for me 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have a 2020 Speed Twin and it has two personalities. It's light and deceivingly docile below 3,500 rpm, but a hard twist of the throttle and you're supersonic in a heartbeat. Walk softly and carry a big stick. I ride mostly on the freeways in California and it's a bit buzzy at those speeds, would be a dream if the engine were rubber mounted.
It must be my perception, I jumped off a 38yo bike onto this one, and the acceleration is definately there, I just don't feel it that much cause it's brand new and handles so well. If that makes sense ..
I have a 2020 Speed Twin 1200. Great bike. Love the sound, low down power and torque. Looks good. A nice job on the styling, finish and detail. Best of all it's fun to ride.😊

I’d also like to say thanks for daring to say something about those totally impractical dials when most other reviewers are drooling over them. They are the one thing that might make me buy a different bike. So dude, keep on reviewing.
Really enjoyed that, great to have a bit of humour in a review, I’ve got a Thruxton 1200 (same engine) and agree these are great bikes, terrific torque, great build quality and handling, in fact your location only goes to confirm how much grip the have, any bike that can stay glued to the road whilst virtually upside down has fantastic road holding 👍
Just got one of these.... I know that is not that elegant.. but try a knee grip... Improoved so much my confidence in riding this bike.. unbelivable!.. As its have a massive engine breaking and has slick/smooth gas tank... was the second mod that I made

@@LindsayvanMierlo now there’s a blast from the past. I’ve got a million questions but will start with two; how are you and are you still living in Yungaburra?
I had the exact same GSX1100 when I lived in Aus. Fantastic bike. Regret selling it. Anyway, I just rode my speed twin 1200 from Hamilton Ontario to Nova Scotia on the east coats of Canada. Got in yesterday. A nice 1600 km ride and the speed twin never missed a beat. Its light, so you get pushed around by wind a fair bit, but I made it. Loved the ride. Also have a 2017 Moto Guzzi Griso which my buddy rode with me (we were bringing my bikes to my new home) and we swapped back and forth over the 4 day trip. Great fun. And both bikes are awesome. Very different, but fun.
Wow, that's farking amazing man! If I could get my old gsx back.... Hahahaha I suspect the ST would perform slightly better than the grisso just because of the cooling...
Yeah I'm back in Canada so cooling isn't really an issue, as you can imagine. Only get a few weeks of real heat here. But surprisingly enough I feel the heat on my legs more on the triumph than I do on the guzzi. Guzzi is actually quite cool.
Thank you for making this video! I own a Street Twin 900 with a large singe speedometer. Tho the Speed Twin dubble clocks look more premium, they are indeed hard to read. Also considering new resevoir style shocks from YSS, that should improve the riding experience for just €300. I love all versions of the Bonneville chassis Triumph build for the last 10 years, the Street Twin 1200 is my favorite.
Lovely bike. Watch out for those small rocks that make the "bicycle spoke" pinging sound - they can also bounce up of the front of the engine and get caught in the back of the radiator, where they lodge and work their way in.
100% agree, the power is definitely enough and the size of the bike is just right, not to mention the brakes and handling. I am thinking of upgrading the rear suspension though...
Hi from Czech Republic. I love the bike already. I have street scrambler 900, grey, call him Gandalf, love it. It is hard to let him go..., but I love the looks of speed twin 1200, stealth... I am afraid of the riding position a bit comparing to the scrambler, but I guess I will not resist and do the move.
I changed my name to Triumph King after getting a Bonneville earlier in the year. My family thinks I'm crazy. Nice bike. I'd love to have the more powerful engine just wish it was air cooled.
