Pregnant mom who lost husband and sister in crash shocked with gifts from a Secret Santa

- A Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!
The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many individuals in our community as he can.
We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.
In October, Brittany Jenkins' husband, Austin Jenkins, and her 13-year-old sister, Mariah Jensen, were killed in a horrible crash. Two days before the accident, Brittany and Austin learned she was pregnant with their third child. They also have two daughters - an 18-month-old and a 3-year-old.
Austin was in medical school and now Brittany has moved home with her parents in Pocatello. She recently had surgery due to knee injuries from the crash and she's working on putting life back together as she prepares for her baby due in June. If she has a boy, she plans to name him Austin. If she has a girl, she plans to name her Mariah.
Secret Santa heard about Brittany's situation and asked the East Idaho News elves to visit her with some early Christmas gifts. Watch the video above to see the touching surprise.
Oh, gosh, that is beyond horrible! To lose both your husband and your sister in an auto accident is so horrible! My deepest condolences for the family.
Not only is she grieving the loss of her husband and 13 year old sister , but her parents are grieving the loss of their 13 year old little girl. I cannot imagine the grief and heartache that comes from a loss like that. So glad to see them all together holding on and taking care of each other. Perfect family to help Secret Santa. You are truly an angel on this earth ❣️🌎

I really enjoy the fact that Nate has that compassionate side to him to ask them how they are doing. Its such small gestures that can do so much in the unspeakable grief she is going through.

Her mother, who’s grieving herself, was so protective of her daughter lying down with their granddaughter. No one deserves the year they’ve had, but especially such a beautiful family.
I noticed that too. Nate was pretty close to not getting to the recipient with mama bear on duty. ❤
I thought it was rude..I've lost my mom and dad but I wouldn't act like this if someone was kind enough to donate a gift to me.
Sharon Dease It wasn’t rude. She probably was just confused. Did you see the episode of the 77 year old woman asking if it was a scam? It sounded too good to to be true. The mom was just hesitant since she doesn’t know Nate and all the cameras around too.
@@sharondease3551 She lost her son in law & 13 year old daughter just 2 months before this video. Consider how many reporters showed up wanting a story. Or how many times they've had to recount the tragedy before being able to grieve & start the healing process. Not only is she in mourning, but now she must be strong for her pregnant daughter and grandchildren. That wasn't rude, it was a mother's love in action and it's unfortunate you didn't see it that way. Also I am sorry for your loss.

Daughter, sister, husband, daddy killed in a car accident and you think it's rude that grandma was apprehensive about disturbing that moment of peace they were sharing because someone was going to give them a car and a headstone. What's wrong with you?
I dated Austin for a short time in high school and was so sad to hear about his passing and leaving behind his beautiful wife and babies. So happy that they are being showered in much deserved love.

Her parents lost a daughter and have to be strong for Brittany and their grandchild, I hope they also get all the love they need and time to mourn their loss.
Seeing someone step up and bless their daughter and her family has to be a lift for the (grand)parents as well

My daughter works at a high school and one of the teachers there does Secret Santa for the underprivileged students. He gives brand new coats and winter gear, gift cards and turkeys. He delivers the gifts to the kid's house so there is no embarrassment. He raises funds throughout the year by baking treats for the staff room and he asks folks to donate goods and services for a silent auction. Secret Santas are so special and set such a wonderful example to others to take care of each other. Merry Christmas.

I don’t think so - because I’ve seen an enormous amount of these videos, and SS gives away different types of vehicles, besides Hyundai.
@@eldavis1311 I thought about that but then realized some people wanted certain dream vehicles and or had needs that Hyundai may not produce those certain vehicle needs. If you own a dealership you get discounts & or can still attain other newer makes/models. I could be wrong as I havent watched the vids in awhile but I thought a huge majority given were all Hyundai's, could be wrong but you'd have to wonder if so, why that certain brand. Just a guess :) & wouldn't hurt either if he was a Hyundai dealer, double win for the marketing.

Omg I'm bawling my eyes out. My cousin's best friend has 4 kids, and two years ago, her four year old died in a car accident. The kids were driving to my Aunt's funeral, who died suddenly. Her 16 year old was driving her little sister who was around 10, and her little brother who had recently turned 4. They were on their way to the church when a drunk truck driver hit them. They all went to the hospital. The 16 year old fought for her life for a week and survived. Her sister had broken bones and a head injury, but was otherwise okay. Her brother fought for his life for two or so days, but he didn't make it. The mom also had kidney failure and was dealing with that at the time. Seeing this woman, I saw the same kind of inner pain that you can only see if you know somehow who has dealt with similar loss. Seeing her smile brought me so much joy. Praying for her and her family as they fight for their own lives while they deal with the immense pain that comes with loss. Luckily with time, the pain is still there, but you learn how to live again, if not for you, then for the people you lost and the people you love.
WOW...what a wonderful story...there really is a Santa to help and bring comfort in a very difficult time...thank you Secret Santa for helping this family...
I am Brittany's cousin, and this is so amazing to see! My family, Brittany's extended family, have been scrambling to find funds for the new single mother, and this lifted a huge weight off her shoulders! FYI, I got 2:21 into the video before I had to take a break to breathe. This is so amazing

I am so impressed with the people of Idaho and I’m so glad to have come across East Idaho news to see how these communities take care of their own. This was incredibly touching and I was even thinking about fitting 3 car seats in that backseat when she looked at the back so to then read that the Secret Santa upgraded to a family size vehicle-I had to comment! Paired with the fact Brittany was due to have their baby just a few days ago! This was filled with grace and love and I feel blessed to have seen it. Wishing them the best from Texas. 💙

Life sure can be bittersweet. Her parents were so protective of her in the beginning. It was rather sweet, yet sad considering the circumstances. Glad they all have each other to lean on during this very difficult time.

I can't even imagine going from the high of finding out about the pregnancy, straight down to the lowest low of losing your spouse and best friend PLUS losing your younger sister.
