    The goal is to find a sport that is best suited to each athlete, whether the athlete has sensory or socialization issues-or just needs a confidence-booster.

    In a supportive environment, inclusive/team sports could help autistic people become more confident and help develop their social skills... relieve stress and reduce anxiety.

    Sports and Autism. There are numerous therapies dedicated to improve communication, cognitive and motor skills of children with autism.

    Participating in physical activity is shown to lower negative behaviours in children with autism and promote behaviours that are more positive. Frequent vigorous physical activity can improve self-stimulatory, hyperactivity and aggressive behaviours over time.
