    Been fitting these crash bars to my new to me 2018 Africa Twin. Thanks for the video and humour with it. Took my time. You helped me!!! As you said, crash bars are good. Good value for money, instructions could do with improving. Thank you.

    enjoyed that video 👍🏽 learned a lot. ji, can you still change the air filters while the bar is on?

    • @TheRideWithRoland

      Not 100% sure but I thought it was no problem. Changing the air filter on a twin is not a easy thing to do anyways 😬

    Dank voor je video! Ik heb dezelfde en laat ze nu poeder coaten in wit. Ben nu de voorbereiding aan het doen zodat de bars erop kunnen straks. Vreselijke schroeven en bouten inderdaad, rommel. Vraagje: Heb je alle schroeven ook met Loctite vastgemaakt?

    Very nice video. Also looking for heeds for my AT. one little correction; crashbars from honda are installed by the dealer, not honda. So they are to blame for the overtightening of the bolts.

    Hi Roland...great video! Thanks! Question...could you tell me how you accessed the rear of the triangle plate? I'm trying to remove my Heed crashbars to do air filters and coolant flush on my new-to-me 2016 AT and am a bit stuck on how to remove the bold behind the triangle plate. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks again for the great video!

      @TheRideWithRoland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I can remember it is a difficult place but you can get it loose.
      But if you really can’t reach it maybe removing the rear wheel give some more space?
      I think I did it with a rattle.
      But, I once read about about a guy who was changing the air filters without removing the crashbars. I would prefer to try that first?

      Yeah sounds great :D But, as a professional producer, or you guys sing straighter then straight, or....be careful with straighten the vocals in your DAW. its sounds a bit un natural in my ears. or its just a perfect pitch lol. i dont feel the Wave form in the vocals. But i dont know, do you straighten them or is this all natural?

    Thanks for the video. Question, I’m installing on my 2018 and confused on the instructions. Did you have to remove either of the brackets on the left or right that the replacement bolt goes through at the 09:50 portion of your video?

    • @TheRideWithRoland
      @TheRideWithRoland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, only when it comes with replacement brackets. its been a while ago but as far as i can remember is uses the original brackets.

Dealing with difficult times is easier on my bike, when I drop the visor I am my own little universe 🙂. Good to see some "real people struggle with this" installations videos, not only those with fully equipped workshops, sponsored by every single tool manufacture that excist...
    Good job getting those flatheaded hex screws out, those are really a pain in the axx.
    Use stainless steel replacements if possible... and remember lock-tight. :-) :-)

    Great video - thanks for sharing! Suggestion for future, whenever you have awkward screws/hardware that tight try using a manual impact driver (the ones with a 3/8" square drive that you can put any size socket/torx/allen on and hit the other end with a hammer to loosen them up without damaging the heads).

    Despite the amount of work it looks awesome. I hope the crash bars are better quality than the Honda screws when you go flat out😁. Unbelievable that a top brand like Honda used cheap soft-metal screws on there bikes. Why be so picky on that??

      Yeah, I was also a bit suprised with that! The bike is from 2019 so before the corona troubles (with the corona steel is a bit of a problem)
      But the bolts from heed are excellent. Very strong 💪🏻

    i have heed on my t7. dont know if thy go in from the front if thy do i would advice not to do this. personal experiance.

      De voorbeugel van heed zit echt stevig vast en door zijn lengte zal die eerder buigen dan afbreken. Maar de crashbars zit nu op zoveel punten vast. Die geeft geen mm denk ik bij een val :) one way to find out 😂 and I will 😬
