I know there’s some negative stuff out there about ATS, but I’ve worked with these guys with my truck over the last couple years and they’ve been awesome. I have their 5000 Compound Kit and their Allison Conversion on my 2018 Ram 2500. I can’t speak about other products, but thus far their customer service, support, and products have been top notch.
Jay, there are always alot of haters out there. People misapply products and want to blame the manufacturer. The manufacturer R&D products that sometimes fail and that helps them improve. I am about to pull the trigger on ATS's complete Allison swap for my 2019 Ram dually. I haven't heard anything but good about the kit so far. I am eager to place the order and get it installed. Congrats on your new transmission. The kit looks top notch!
@@Ishmaell711 I haven’t had any issues thus far. Trans temp runs very cool. I can’t tell you exactly off the top of my head, but it’s fair to say towing my 5th wheel (23k truck and trailer) I’m anywhere between 120-160 degrees depending on the type of grades.
I received a quote from ATS for this for my '19 2500. I am seriously considering it but would love to take one for a spin first! Keep in mind that a strong 68RFE build is gonna cost $8k+ and you still will white knuckle it every time you bash the go pedal. The cost of this suddenly becomes reasonable.
When everybody said putting a tuner on a truck is illegal in here this dude is both of them to the body I sure wish I could afford your complete system what kind of badassness would it be to have a 600 horsepower Cummins in a 1988 Chevrolet Suburban
Just called ATS. The transmission is an ALLISON, but their software uses EFILive tuners, while the conversion "box" tricks the ECU to thinks it's an AISIN transmission. Was told this way, you ocan keep all your factory options, which is mostly done via CANBus.
Just a thought. When electric vehicles hit the market in a serious way, am I to understand that transmissions will go on the heap of things from the past?
@@CaptainRudy4021 I'm sure I can get an Allison built for w/e; that's not the question. I'm wondering what the $13k for this kit gets you for hp rating. Pretty simple.
@@monsterram6617 taking into the account the output of the 2022 high output cummins and the fact that people will be modifying them, my guess would be 600hp. Any more than that, you'd have to pay to have the transmission beefed up more.
It might have been easier to get the engine and trans out of a wrecked school bus or a Freightliner MDT chassis. Add your mods to the engine and boom your done.
We are not offering anything for a manual to automatic conversion. There are several forums on what you need to do to do that conversion and once that is figured out on your end, then our conversion will work.
It would be nice but they can't get any A50 TCMs because theirs won't work with out it. They are not the only ones being held hostage by GM.🤬. Not until maybe the later part of the 1st 1/4. What happens if you system has a problem. Wait half a yr to get it up and going again? Would of love this system but now rethinking.
@@jonellwanger7258 Then why go to the trouble of swapping in a different transmission and making it work? I mean go for it if that's what somebody wants to, do more power to them. I was just thinking of the cost basis to get an equally good transmission.
The kit ranges from $12,700 to $13,700. We can accept your 69RC Aisin or 68RFE as a Core. There is a refundable core charge $2,200 that is returned once we receive the unit and it passes inspection. Bought a rebuilt transmission from these guys I had to send it back 2 times Took 2 months to get it back Tried calling them always a answer machine Never again !
Just Buy a Dodge Ram, with a AISIN TRANSMISSION. It's Cheaper. Plus the cruise control works Plus the Exhaust Brake Works Plus the AISIN is stronger 💪 than the Allison. Plus any Dodge Ram service Department can work on your truck. Plus Factory Parts are available.
Why don’t you guys make a kit to put a proper Eaton Fuller 10 speed in these trucks? This seems insane to spend all this money and and up with a bloody automatic transmission? Also some kits to put a manual in newer 6.7 Ford trucks would be sweet as one can’t even get a brand new one anymore with a manual transmission! Who is spending $90 grand on a new truck with a automatic? I sure as hell won’t I walked away when I couldn’t get a manual on a new one and the damn 6.7 Cummins was derated with a manual transmission! We need some kits to swap in Eaton Fuller Roadrangers into these Dodge Ford and GM pickups I’ve seen conversions done so they will fit.
The reason manual transmissions are no longer sold in heavy duty pickups is no one was buying them. If you are a member of a small group who want manual transmissions, good luck to you. Also wouldn't the Eaton Fuller 10 speed be huge and not fit easily?
ATS is the worst place to by a transmission in less than two years I had to bring it back 7 time's and I'm having more problems in less than 32000 miles!!!!!!!
I've had bad experience with this company. I never recommend them ! Bought 48re stage 1 and it was horrible build trans fluid was leaking from everywhere end up replacing 2 time they never pay for labor.

How much is the conversion kit cost, not install.
That’s a good question. When I did it they weren’t selling just the conversion kit and were requiring to get it installed here in Colorado.

Question how much cost 2012 ram 3500.
Got a HD transfer case for the ram
Awesome
On Facebook groups all I’ve seen is complaints about these conversions and lack of tech support. Has this been fixed?

Starts at 13 grand for a full kit.
Over 13k for a stage 1. Not counting for installation cost.

I would think for $12K you could rebuild your 68RFE for less and make it strong enough where you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Real trucks don't shift themselves and manuals always outlast hydraulic transmissions by double or more.
