We toured an EMS station in Lancaster County, PA! This station plays a crucial part in keeping their community safe! th-cam.com/video/S4MJ5UK-dlE/w-d-xo.html
I was a member of this company from 2000-2005. I was on the fire when Lt. Thomas DiOrio passed. Mike, I remember working with you at 6 and you helping me get through EMT. Thanks for taking me down memory lane (even though a lot has changed)! Keep up the great station tours. Do Berwyn and Union of Oxford. Thanks, brother!
I'm out in Central Texas, specifically Navarro County. I've been a Volunteer Firefighter for 3 years now and we run out of one station which is actually a fire station city hall mix, it houses our engine and Tactical Tanker which is a 5 ton military truck that carry's 1500 gallons of water, then we have our smaller station located right outside that houses our two brush trucks. We don't have near the nice equipment that most of the departments where you're located have but we make it work. Our engine is a 2007 freightliner E-one pumper with a 1500/1000 pump. Our first brush rig is a 2008 dodge 1500 with a 300 gallon tank, our second brush rig is a 1998 dodge second gen that we bought and built the tank and pump our selves. We don't have a crew room or bunkrooms but we make it work because we have to. Luckily we have many more developments that are moving into our area that are going to help us tremendously.
If your interested in seeing a few of the calls or events we have been on, check out our page! We are also just starting our channel and will be posting more content soon!
The railroad tracks are Amtrak's Harrisburg line also used by SEPTA regional rail to Thorndale. Both Amtrak and SEPTA have a station in Exton. Other rail lines may have fallen into disuse and face conversion to recreational trails, ending usefulness for rail.
So time to make fun of myself as we go through this station.... How many times do I say "this is Key" :) Sorry for that I am still learning how to do this too. Thanks for hanging in there and joining us as we do these Stations. I will get better as I learn...
I've been I'm EMS for 10 years man I wish I worked there lol subricibe to my channel! I'm looking for people to post their links on my channel , I'm from the rio grande valley, Texas, but I'm posting body cam footage from all over the country.
Known how you were talking about Xbox and Playstation on that big TV the great game to play in the firehouse wood be firefighter Simulator the squad I play that all the time.😃
I wish before Christmas I can have my own helmet so I can used it for the month of december because here in philippines theres a lot of fire calls when the christmas and new years come. Because always the cost of fire is fire crackers and most of the houses, here are light materials..
It's always in disbelief when I see these videos of volunteer departments in the northeast. Almost everywhere else in the country volunteers are trying to get by with old equipment and very little help from the community, state or federal government. My volunteer department just hopes the old 1980 engine will start for a call.
Yeah, we are definitely blessed to have a large community around us that is able to support the stations, but a lot of the stations are having to find other avenues of revenue. Fame fire is creating a 3000sq ft commercial space and West Grove has a cell phone tower.
So far that has been the easiest stations to get into. We have a couple police stations and ambulance stations that are coming up to though, they just require a little more work.
We just need an invite and we will make the trip. Send any contacts to watchheroesnextdoor@gmail.com so that we can get the ball started on crossing the USA and beyond.
@erik sand I guess in different places definition of a high-rise varies because my city has at least Ten 28 story high rises and a 48 story tower that will be the tallest high rise outside of New York City it’s going to be 585 feet
Well cost is a big factor, but also what will it be used for should play the largest roll to if a tower is needed or simply a ladder. Towers can sometimes have more than one person on the platform while ladder is “unmanned” or a single person. Ladders are used to gain access quickly, while towers can be used for extended operations and movements of victims more easy. There are a lot of pros and cons for each, it really comes down to the coverage area and the need you area looking for.

My uncle works there if you do know him he is rich if you go back look on the back side you would see it
What are fire police? Can you do a video explaining that not every state has that. Grate channel I love all the videos.
It is coming soon!!!
Do u only do volunteer firehouses?

What is the difference between a ladder and a tower
Traditionally a Ladder does not have a bucket for people to stand in and fight fires, a tower does.

Good video on the station, but would rather see a bit more time spent on the rigs.
We made a separate video called what’s inside a $860k ladder, it’s the ladder for this station
