I am a 4th Generation Volunteer Firefighter, My Great Grandpa was a Volunteer Firefighter at the Upper Beaconsfield Fire Brigade apart of the Country Fire Authority (CFA), My Grandpa was a Volunteer at the same brigade and has been a volunteering for over 60 year and has fought in major Bushfire such as Ash Wednesdays and Black Saturday, My Uncles is a Volunteer Firefighter started off at Upper Beaconsfield before moving to another Brigade and is a Lieutenant and has been volunteering there for over 25 years and then there is me, been brought up around Volunteers and Firefighting my whole life and as soon as I turned 13 joined the Junior Program and as soon as I turned 16 joined the real deal, did my basic training and started turning out, Volunteering is a way of life and it runs in the blood

This is cool to see because many years ago there were members from this station that came to Northern Cambria, PA and started another station. It is Cambria County Station 50 and we are also known as Hope Fire Company. We are kind of an offspring of them, we actually get each other’s mail sometimes, haha.
Untied steam and hose company 3 in fredrick county Md is the oldest firehouse that’s still in use of the original building in Maryland, y’all should check them out it’s pretty cool place and busy company
Lancaster Co.,…Vol. FD….watch out for the posies! Manheim Fd. from what I heard is a soldi run company. But trust me, not all co’s are like this. Been there, done that.
Looks beautiful in the showroom, but the helmets and rubberized coat don't really go with that era. Also suggest you move that nozzle back so it sits on both beams, rather than resting its weight on the leather hose.
E26 isn’t a Pierce Enforcer. When Pierce released the new Enforcer chassis back in 2014 the windshield was one pig wind shield with a good view. The cab on this engine looks like a Arrow XT.
@@HeroesNextDoor American La France, my current station used to have one that my grampa rode when he was a member when I was young, I always loved them
@@HeroesNextDoor I think it's a local thing from many years back. Many FDs have Squads, yet in Wisconsin less than 100 miles from the famous Squad companies in Chicago a Squad is a police car. In much of the Midwest they call them tenders not tankers. I guess it's just what they were called over the years.
What a beautiful, cozy station. I love these two young guys and how knowledgeable and dedicated they are. Also love that they use the roto rays.
I enjoyed listening to the younger guys and how they are staying involved too. Good bunch they have there

try doing a fire company near Chicago
We just need invites!
That's an Arrow XT Engine
Tenders come from the kitchen. Tankers carry water to fires. Lol
So why do you think the same apparatus is called different names across the country?

@@HeroesNextDoor probably because when requesting a "tanker" in areas prone to wildfire that is referring to a air attack asset
I really enjoy this channel all the content is well made. I definitely think you should try coming across to the uk
We need a sponsor to make that happen but maybe one day
Remember kids, the first rule of being a volunteer is to let everyone know you’re a volunteer by wearing firefighter shirts in public.
