@@tommydevine9993 We forget what led up to that blocked FG. Rodgers rolls out and finds Jones on a wheel route, gives him a perfect ball, Jones catches it in stride and...doesn't score. Does some nonsense juke for no reason instead of running past a safety. They settle for a FG which is then blocked.
@Dan The Man Pretty sure the Adams TD drop was also on a turnover, forget if the Lazard TD drop was also on a turnover. Cant blame Rodgers for not converting when Lazard literally drops a ball that hit him in the chest lol
@Dan The Man Rodgers was under constant pressure with 1 receiver. The short field the bucs had for that td was off an interception where the reciever was held and the refs were blind. Kevin king allowed a touchdown before half that should have never happened. All the interceptions were basically punts anyways, they didn’t help with field position whatsoever.
2010 wasn't a defensive fluke, they were never down by more than one score, at any point in any game all year. Then in 2011 we lost the best safety of the (then) last 10 years not named Ed or Troy. Nick Collins was an obscene level talent.
Absolutely a baller. I can say with confidence that Nick would’ve help us get at minimum one more ring along with a HOF career (maybe not 1st ballot but definitely in there).
He doesn't need to make that video. He'll just say "The defense crapped their pants again. Rodgers doesn't deserve any blame". We have already seen that video. Maybe if Green Bay had gone out and got a Dink & Dunker quarterback that just found ways to win, like, I don't know....Tom Brady.
@@wanderinroy I’m pretty sure there’s a difference between dink and dunk and precision passing and high football IQ, that’s the difference between Joe Flacco and Drew Brees
You were spot on. Word for word. These are all the details that will be forgotten in the future. 2014 was a turning point. The most complete team, then it crumbled.
People need to stop comparing their teams success to that of the Patriots. It's generational to actually see a dynasty in any particular sport. Most HOF QBs playing today have maybe 1 or 2 SB wins at most! Be happy to be one of the few handful of teams in the last 20 years to win a SB other than the Patriots.
I'm confused by the remark, "Be happy to be one of the few handful of teams in the last 20 years to win a SB other than the Patriots." In the last 20 years the Patriots won 6 and other teams have won 14. From 2000-2020 9 teams won once and 3 teams (Bal, NYG, and Pit) have won it twice! From 2001-2021 9 teams won once and 3 teams (Pit, NYG, and TB) have won it twice! It's not uncommon for New England to not win a superbowl (70% of the time they didn't).
@@joeanderson444 But they are saying you aren't going to win as many as the Patriots which is their main point. You shouldn't compare to the Patriots with their super bowls. Like if Patrick Mahomes only gets his one Superbowl, that happens, you can't get to the Superbowl every other year
This is actually a pretty damn good video. Rodgers has been one of my favorite quarterbacks and one of, if not, the best quarterback of his time but just had terrible luck his entire career. Mostly horrible management. It’s really a damn shame. BTW these videos are way better/easier to listen to when you’re not spending most of it bashing a good player that you simply don’t like. You’re a lot more knowledgeable than that, keep this stuff up!
I think the only reason why the packers won't be a dynasty and why Rodgers only won 1 ring is because of the conference he is in. In the past 20 years there has only been 1 team to win more than 1 super bowl in the nfc and that's the Giants. If he was in the afc he would probably have 3 rings
@@Malachi-Rhodes Of course but if u look at it those are the only teams that made it within the 20 years whereas in the nfc there's about 6 more teams. His chances are better if he was in the afc. I honestly feel like if the Patriots and packers were to switch conferences it would be a lot tougher for belicheck and brady. As where in the afc they only had to worry about 4 teams(Peyton Manning counts as a team cuz without him the colts and Broncos really didn't have a chance)knocking them off instead of like 9 or 10. So I believe its really just because of the conference he was in I'mnot saying other factors didn't affect him and the packers but i believe that was the main reason why. It's hard to get 2 rings in the nfc ever since 2000 that is.
I feel for all Packers fans. I woke up to this realization after seeing the stat that Aaron Rodgers has thrown a TD to a first round wide receiver 1 time in his career. They never did him any favors on offense or helped him out. Especially this year when everyone begged them to go WR and help him they drafted his replacement??? The disrespect after they wasted this man's career
I hear this and I think: "Wait, doesn't he get help from Aaron Jones?" One of the best RB's in the league? And he certainly can't complain about a top-ranked offensive line that does a great job of protecting him. We tend to equate help with "getting a wide receiver." On the other hand, if I had to choose between getting a WR and getting a defensive stud, I'm going to choose getting a defensive stud. As this video points out, it's not the lack of WR's which has killed his postseason hopes, it's the defense.
I mean, for what it's worth, the Packers have consistently finished as a top 5-10 offensive unit throughout Rodgers' tenure, with a few years being the #1 offense (2011, 2020) and possibly more. Reason they haven't gotten over the hump is primarily defense, which we've always use our high draft picks for, but always end up with average or oft-injured players that can only be relied on for a few years before they're out of the league. Adding more WRs to the heap wouldn't necesarrily do much in the way of moving the needle.
How Dom Crappers kept his job for so long still bothers me. Even with McCarthy's questionable play calling, the defensive waste of amazing players is still the biggest variable holding back the Packers
Not even a Packers fan and it's frustrating to think about how this Franchise only appeared in one Super Bowl with Rodgers, and it's the same shit with the Saints w/ Brees. When you look at their disastrous season endings it's just fucking tragic.
It's a also difficult that the Packers have had to get through a stacked NFC. AFC has had like 3 Superbowl worthy teams the entire time, NFC, Dang near 60% of the entire conference has been there.
BS. There might be a difference, but it's gotta be pretty slight. To illustrate this point, look at the 2012-2015 Broncos(top Offense AND the top Defense of the decade within a three year span!) 2017 Steelers, 2018-2019 Chiefs(a team that's looked absolutely unstoppable recently), 2012 and 2019 Ravens, heck, even the 2015 Bungals and 2016 Raiders could've had SB-caliber seasons had it not been for injuries. And that's not even mentioning the huge dynasty that's been there for the past few decades.
Exactly the peyton Manning teams the ravens and the Steelers and the pats were really the only team in the afc who really were super bowl contenders year in and year out in the past 20 years. But in the nfc every team has been a contender except for probably about 4
@@yetz2291 If you go back and look at all Super Bowl scores. For the most part… there are exceptions. When the nfc wins it’s a blowout, when the afc wins it’s barely. And normally any team that makes it to the nfc playoffs could win the Super Bowl. The afc only has 1-3 teams per season.
Dynasties are exceptionally hard to achieve. Think about this, since Rodgers became a starter only one team has won more than 1 super bowl and no team has repeated as champs. Brady and NE have warped everyones brains as to how truly difficult it is to get to a super bowl let alone win it.
Barry, you nailed the "most heart breaking playoff loss" in the Rodgers era (the "Bostic" game) and it may well be the most heart breaking playoff loss in Packer history, but as an Eagles fan you must realize the "4th and 26" game while not in the scope of this video was a huge kick in the nads as well.
Facts, the reason I started following the Packers when I was 5 is cause of Rodgers. When he retires the whole town of Green Bay will shut down trust me I know how much they love him
@@chrismccalla1390 As long as we don't ever see him in a Vikings uniform, we will be fine. We love Rodgers here, and most of the people just want to see him in a position where he can succeed as much as he should. (Again, as long as he isn't wearing purple)
Facts. Been watching that bad man since his first start in 08. Imagine how many rings he’d have if GB had an elite defense in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, and even last year.
In the case of Rodgers, the dude needed a defense to hold up the scores he made. Also, there are some phenomenal teams over the years that prove it is tough to follow up a championship. Those 2014-2015 KC Royals were phenomenal but fell off after that. The Braves won 5 pennants in 8 completed seasons in the 90's, with 4 HOF athletes through most of that run, and still only won one title.
Yup. Winning a championship is incredibly difficult and only comes when you have both luck and great athletic talent on your side. Indeed, football is probably the most difficult sport in which to win a title. There are 22 starters per team and if any one of them plays poorly it can lead to a loss.
Well, I wouldn't consider the Royals to count. Their top dude is a penny pincher and they only decided to spend the money to win in a couple seasons and drop off
Rodgers is a good regular season qb when he needs to be great in the post season he doesn’t ever come thru yes the defense is horrible but the great qbs always come thru when they are needed most
@@Yeomannn i watched that happen and them be down already by the time green bay won those games, we forget the drop 2 point conversion, two drops by adams early, Also tick tack ref ball, it was night and day just a horribly officiated game
@Mark W Romo was probably the second best QB in the NFC along with Wilson. Alot of people think he was a choke artist, but he had the worst Oline for years and also the worst defense of all time for a couple years. Romo was one of the most fun QBs to watch in the pocket, easily one of the best at breaking the sack.
Great video my man! This reminded me of something that I think Dan Marino told either Aaron or Big Ben when they played in their first super bowls. He said "Enjoy it. Take the moment in. You never know if you'll ever be back here so don't waste it." It never occurred to me that Rodgers, the most talented QB of all time, has only made it to one super bowl (so far). At least he has more luck than Dan!
I can't believe Rodgers allowed his defenses to give up all those yards and points. Not a true leader or motivator, unlike Tom Brady, who is the greatest defensive quarterback of all time.
I'll never, ever forget that incredible playoff game in Seattle, watching my Hswks come back and win was so beautiful. Of course then we choked in the SB. Still, greatest playoff comeback ever.
Thank you for making this. It is something that I have had in the back of my mind for a while and wanted to make a video but didn't have the time or resources. Great job.
22:35 - "It's not as if the Packers' offense has ever been shut down for an entire game in one of Rodgers' playoff losses." *The 2021 season divisional round has entered the chat.*
You could also add in the fact that literally all of the Packers first round picks for ten years straight were ALL DEFENSE and the only time they picked an offensive player was to trade up and grab a back up QB to try and replace Rodgers, immediately after being one game away from the Super Bowl. Unbelievable.
How is that unbelievable? Defense killed the packers literally every year. Rather then rodgers having to score 30+ every week to even be competitive itd prob have helped if they could stop anything. The failure was in the specific players they picked not the idea that they needed a defense
Aight so not to brag, but, there was a comment on this video that said that "it would help if Aaron Rodgers had been an above-average quarterback who wasn't a game manager who took too many sacks for the past five years," and I took that personal. I went on Pro Football Reference, compared ARod 2019 to the average QB in 2019, and he's above average in every category, especially his legendary Int-per-pass stat, mildly below average in completion percentage (it was like 62% for Rodgers and 63.5% for the field). But since he said "the past five years," I went ahead and crunched the numbers and, yup, still significantly better than average, especially in picks-per-pass (gotta be his signature stat), and he was in competition with most of the league's best quarterbacks whilst lacking the rushing ability of Lamar Jackson and not having anywhere close to the receiving corps enjoyed by Drew Brees or Patrick Mahomes. I guess I got that guy real mad, because the comment is gone.
Here's the deeper statistical analysis since I put so much work into it and dude was being petty deleting his comment so they wouldn't be seen: Average NFL QB in 2019: 3760 Yards 25.6 TDs 12.8 INT 4.5% TD per pass 2.3% INT per pass 63.5% comp 40 sacks 90.4 QBR Aaron Rodgers in 2019, compared against some of his peers. 4002 Yards (Mahomes: 4031, Lamar: 3127, Wilson: 4110, Brady: 4057, Brees: 2979) 26 TDs (Mahomes: 26, Lamar: 36, Wilson: 31, Brady: 24, Brees: 27) 4 INT (Mahomes: 5, Lamar: 6, Wilson: 5, Brady: 8, Brees: 4) 4.6% TD per pass (Mahomes: 5.4%, Lamar: 9%, Wilson: 6%, Brady: 3.9%, Brees: 7.1%) 0.7 INT per pass (Mahomes: 1%, Lamar: 1.5%, Wilson: 1%, Brady: 1.3%, Brees: 1.1%) 62% comp (Mahomes: 65.9%, Lamar: 66.1%, Wilson: 66.1%, Brady: 60.8%, Brees: 74.3%) 36 sacks (Mahomes: 17, Lamar: 23, Wilson: 48, Brady: 27, Brees: 12) 95.4 Quarterback Rating (Mahomes: 105.3, Lamar: 113.3, Wilson: 106.3, Brady: 88, Brees: 116.3) In 2019, he was notable above average in yards, a bit above average in TDs, takes less sacks than average, is only 1.5% below average on completions but, of course, his signature stat, he DECIMATES the interception average both in total number and especially the int-per-pass %. According to QBR, he's a solid 5% above average. He threw exactly as many TDs in the regular season as Patrick Mahomes, and threw as few picks as Drew Brees who only played 11 games. He threw basically as many yards as Mahomes and Wilson, and much more than Lamar. God only knows what he could do with the receiving corps enjoyed by Brees or Mahomes. This is Aaron Rodgers "in decline." But wait, there's more! NFL QBs since 2015: 3784 Yards 24.96 TDs 13.2 INT 4.48% TD per pass 2.38 INT per pass 63.3 % comp 37.76 sacks 89.94 Quarterback Rating Aaron Rodgers since 2015 (averaged out, and this includes half a season in 2017 which drags a few numbers down): 3673.6 Yards 27.6 TDs 5.4 INT 5.5% TD per pass 1.2% INT per pass 62% comp 37.6 sacks 97.42 Quarterback Rating Across the past five years, the Aaron Rodgers In Decline has 110 yards below average (once again, including an injury-shortened season that hurts that number,) throws about 2.5 more TDs, throws almost 2/3 fewer interceptions, throws more TDs per pass, throws significantly fewer INTs per pass, is only 1% below average on completions, takes almost exactly as many sacks as anyone else, and is significantly better in overall rating. I'm not going to argue that he's way better than average, but he put up stats that are extremely competitive and did do with a receiving corps ranked 20th by PFF. (Chiefs: 4, Saints: 13, Pats: 26, Hawks: 25, Ravens: 31) www.pff.com/news/pro-nfl-receiving-corps-rankings-all-32-teams-entering-2019 www.pro-football-reference.com/years/NFL/passing.htm (To get season averages I multiplied raw numbers by 16) www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RodgAa00.htm

@Barry Allen as somebody who started watching football about 2004 when I was young, Peyton Manning mesmerized me. Unbelievable player. Admired and feared him as a Ravens fan.
I think it’s important to note that in 2010, the packers sluggishly beat the bears without Jay Cutler but with third stringer Caleb Hanie. He’s been beaten by every other big team since. Just saying.
Cutler started that game, and played miserably until he faked an injury and gave up in the third quarter. That wasn't a fluke victory the Packers won because Cutler was out, Cutler was just a low-tier QB finally getting exposed. If they had started with Hanie, maybe the Bears would have done better.
Wentz isn't even good. Right after the Foles super bowl I said out loud "Carson Wentz will never win a super bowl as a starter and he won't even be decent. He'll forever live with the nightmare that the only reason he has a ring is because the hero Nick Foles took over. He would've never won it. That'll haunt him forever after he busts out of the league pretty soon." Haven't felt wrong for a second since.
@@Chase-vl9cp Man, will love to see how this pans out over the next few years. NDSU, in North Dakota even though win titles every year for a decade straight in FCS, don't get moved up to FBS even though they beat every team in the FBS they've played, and still get players into the NFL. Carson Wentz isn't a great quarterback, but also not a bad quarterback. He finally found a team with an O-line that gives him more than 0.5 seconds in the pocket so we will see.
So Rodgers has a bad defense so it’s not his fault he lost. Brady has good defense so all the games he won mean nothing and he was just along for the ride. That’s awesome bro.
These are all facts. This is why in football, SB is considered a team effort; not a single player. Thats why when people praise Brady so much I just laugh because they know nothing about football. The only game Rodgers should be blamed for is against the giants in 2011.
As a Packers fan, it's hard to blame any one person on the 2011 loss to the Giants. The running game didn't show up (Rodgers led the team in rushing), the offensive line wasn't great (4 sacks, lack of run game), receivers sucked (6 dropped passes), Rodgers missed a few throws, defense shit its pants again. What happened is that during the bye week offensive coordinator Joe Philbin's son died in an accident and that messed the whole team up. You could tell watching that game the Packers just weren't in it and didn't want to be there. If there was a playoff loss Rodgers could be blamed for, it's the 2013 game against the 49ers. Yes, he did lead the Packers to a game-tying drive, but for most of the game he wasn't that good and that last drive really should have been a TD drive to take the lead. They got inside the 10 yard line and the drive stalled. Not that the Packers would have won the Super Bowl that year or anything, they weren't that good, but still.
@Millennial Falcon Brady can't suck it's litteraly impossible for him to play as good as he has for so long and suck. I've never seen someone else do what he does when it comes to clutch moments in the NFL. He adjust to the game and just plays to win you can't luck yourself into 6 rings, 4 Superbowl mvps 3 regular MVPs, touchdown leader 4 times, 2 time passer rating leader, and 3 time passing yards leader. He's unfortnaly the best QB that's ever played. Lot of other guys with more talent overall but not enough to be better. He's the best end of story all around talent and production wise he's it no one else is there. I wish I could tell you Payton and actually believe it like 7 or years ago but I can't.
Kyle Hillman He threw for over 4,000 yards and had less than 5 INT’s. His stats aren’t the problem. It’s the front office and their inability to get him help.

The pats have only had 4 teams they had to worry about since brady got there in the afc the teams Manning was on, Ravens, Steelers, and the chiefs(when they decided to play good) so many teams in the nfc that we thought could be dynasties only could get one ring(Seahawks, Packers, Saints, maybe the 49ers though they haven't got one) I really just think its the conference he's in its basically a team thats a year or 2 removed from being bad or average in the nfc going to the super bowl every year(except the Seahawks but even when they went in '13 they weren't that good the year or 2 before)
Stats can be deceiving. Did you watch the games? Let's go over it. 2009 - Arizona - 0-1 - Great fricking game by Rodgers. Totally on the defense. Though Rodgers did have a chance to win it late and failed, something that would become a theme. 2010 - Philly - 1-1 - OK game by Rodgers. Still gave the ball back to the Eagles at the end, but recurring theme in 2010, the defense got it done with an INT in the endzone. 2010 - Atlanta - 2-1 - God like performance by Rodgers. Arguably the greatest performance by a QB in any postseason game. 2010 - Chicago - 3-1 - After a good 1st half by Rodgers, zero points in the second half. Fortunately for Rodgers, the defense pulled it out in the end. 2010 - Pittsburgh - 4-1 - Great game by Rodgers on the biggest stage. Still could only manage a FG at the end when a TD would have put it away, again, a theme for Rodgers in the postseason. 2011 - NY Giants - 4-2 - Poor game by Rodgers, very unlike the amazing year he had just had. The Giants were handed 10 points on turnovers by the Packer offense, and they scored a junk time TD on a short field after the Packers had failed an onside kick. Subtract out those points and the Packer defense only gave up 20 points all game. Regardless, the Packer offense had only 13 points at home until 5 minutes left in the game, when the game was out of reach. It is a huge MYTH that the defense cost this game. Wrong. The offense failed us here. Was it all Rodgers' fault. No. But the offense's fault surely. 2012 - Minnesota - 5-2 - Weak win against a backup QB. No one cares. 2012 - 49ers - 5-3 - This game was on the defense, but the game was 24-24 in the 4th Quarter with Rodgers having the ball. That led to a punt. 49ers then put up 14 more points to make the game look more lopsided than it was. The final TD was in junk time and only inflated the score. 2013 - 49ers - 5-4 Rodgers played like garbage. Zero first downs in the 1st Quarter. Defense kept the Packers in the game. You give Rodgers a lot of credit for leading a FG drive near the end of the game. Yeah, that's a trend. A TD drive may have won the game. On Rodgers. 2014 - Dallas - 6-4 - Rodgers plays well against Dallas for some reason. He seems to actually try to win the game against them rather than just trying to not lose it. 2014 - Seattle - 6-5 - Worst loss in Packer history, and Rodgers was the #1 reason why. Threw two painful picks. Never challenged Richard Sherman, even after he got injured. Was terrible on 3rd down, which is why the Packers had to settle for FGs. Again, you give Rodgers a lot of credit for managing to give Crosby a shot from 49 yards. How about a TD to win the game instead? Is that too much to ask from a HOF QB? But like I said, settling for FGs is a theme in Rodgers' postseason history. If the Packers win the coin toss, they punt on their first drive. 2015 - Washington - 7-5 - Good game by Rodgers. Washington didn't belong there though. 2015 - Arizona - 7-6 - Actual great game by Rodgers with all his weapons out. Defense wasn't bad. Just playing against a better team here. 2016 - NY Giants - 8-6 - Giants were terrible this game. Rodgers was decent. 2016 - Dallas - 9-6 - Again, Rodgers played great against Dallas. Fortunately for him, just getting a FG at the end was enough to win this time. 2016 - Atlanta - 9-7 - Packers were overmatched in every facet this game. Defense got walloped and were the main cause. But Rodgers and the offense had 0 points well into the 3rd Quarter. Even if the defense had played well, the Packers lose. Rodgers got some junk stats in the 4th Quarter with the game out of reach. Made his statline look better than it actually was. In reality, it was another bad NFC Championship for Rodgers, though the defense was worse. 2019 - Seattle - 10-7 - Rodgers was decent, not great. Seattle turned it over 3 times and that was really the difference. 2019 - San Fran - 10-8 - The defense was run over in this game. However, like the last NFC Championship blowout, the Packer offense had zero points until the 8 minute mark of the 3rd Quarter. It was 27-0 before that happened. The game was already over. I give Rodgers next to zero credit for putting up points and stats when it no longer mattered. You use those junk time stats to suggest Rodgers played well. He did not. 2020 - LA Rams - 11-8 - Solid performance by Rodgers. Packers were just all around better team than the Rams. 2020 - Tampa Bay Bucs - 11-9 - This is actually Rodgers best performance in an NFC Championship, where he notoriously has not been very good. Unfortunately, he could do nothing with 3 INTs in the second half by Brady, and once again settled for a FG late. Blame the coach if you want, but Rodgers and the offense had 3 downs from the 7 yard line and had advanced not an inch. Pretty unrealistic to think they would have scored on 4th. Maybe the loss isn't Rodger's fault, but it was just another big game that he had a chance to win and didn't. 2021 - San Francisco - 11-10 - Rodgers is 0-4 against San Fran in the playoffs and 2012 is the only game it could even be suggested he played well in. You'd have to go back to Lombardi to find an playoff game where the Packer defense played so well. Rodgers has no one else to blame on this one. This game should have been won. In summation, I put 4 of the 10 losses mostly on Rodgers' shoulders while putting 4 losses on the defense. I believe Rodgers should have 3 more titles had he simply played better in a couple key games. Also, tough to have a great defense while paying your QB 15% of your cap or more.
Agree with a lot of the points made in this analysis, the only thing I would add is to that 2011 loss to the Giants. The Packers offense was actually worse in that game than you mentioned. Late in the first quarter there was an oblivious fumble by Greg Jennings at the NY 30 that should have ended that Packers drive... despite it being an obvious fumble (seriously, anybody reading this, go back and watch it and tell me it isn't) and an NY challenge, the play was somehow not called a fumble and the Packers scored their only TD, before garbage time late in the 4th, in the game after that. To add to the Myth busting regarding the defense costing the packers that game, the defense managed to block an NY field goal and intercept Eli once in that game both of which resulted in 0 points by the GB offense on either subsequent drive. Sorry to harp on that game in particular, but I was convinced that the Packers were going to repeat as Super Bowl winners back in 2011 so I remember that game and the GB offensive implosion quite well.
@@gbrow1604 in both games, it should have never came down to special teams if rodgers had simply been decent. he threw 2 red zone picks in 2014. even with the packers conservative kicking in the red zone, if he threw 1 less pick, then the special teams don't matter. In the 2021 game, all he had to do was pick up a few first downs up 10-3. if he does it this, it is over and there is no block kick. he plays bad enough and wastes good defensive performances long enough for the defense to tire down and special teams to have a mistake whereas if he is even somewhat decent or at least does the bare minimum (get a first down vs. sf and don't throw a red zone pick vs. seahawks) then they win.
Great video! Yeah he also had an unfortunate loss to the tampa bay buccaneers in the nfc championship game later on as well 😢 5 nfc championship game appearances and only one nfc championship win to show for it 😢
Who’s watching now in 2020-21 the Packers HOST the NFC Championship and Rodgers has played at an mvp level, throwing 4299 Yds, and 48 TDS, and pretty much a guaranteed mvp
Charles Woodson absolutely deserved the DPOY award that year and the season before he was arguably more deserving of the award tbh. The amount of impactful and game changing plays Woodson provided was insane.
And remember they were the 1st of 23 teams that were supposed to be sorry for passing on him in the 2005 draft 😜 If not for “don’t care” Cutler and famous respecter of women Big Ben both stepping aside in 2011 he’d be in the Marino/Romo/Rivers ring(less) of honor.
Few plays our biggest deficit was 7 points that whole year. We would have gone 14-2 at least with home field in Chicago. Literally very Bears to be a placekicker away from a Super Bowl Championship. Should have signed Gould to one more season and we would have been holding up that Lombardi that season.
Rodgers seem to get down early in a lot of his playoff loses. If he can persevere enough and mount a comeback in some of these games he might have another SB. In the NFL opportunities are far and few. Rodgers had his chances. Might not be a lot of them but its sports nothing is fair
@@Me37368 is that always the case? Yea its hard when your defense gives up 35+ but its not like they dont have decent or superb games. Against seattle defense played lights out Rodgers didnt mustered any points to put the game away. Against bucs defense had 3 picks against brady. Rodgers did nothing with the turnovers. Those are literally 2 chances for him there to go to the SB.
As a packer fan this is the greatest video describing greenbays failures that ive seen and I agree with almost every point my statement on why rodgers has only one ring is that the packers have had talent around rodgers for many years other than their 2010 superbowl run most notably 2011, 2020, and 2014 but also some other years too but these 3 years were greenbays best chances at repeating but as barry put it bad luck and dumb avoidable mistakes by coaches, rodgers teammates, and sometimes rodgers him self left rodgers with one ring I just hope they get rodgers his 2nd and deserved ring in this most likely final year with rodgers
Packers lost to Tampa Bay in the NFC Championship Game because Rodgers threw five incompletions inside the 10 yard line. And he was afraid to run on 3rd and goal; instead he threw his sixth incompletion.
I like this video but just because the defense is giving up points dont act like the offense doesn't get the ball right back after each score. This isn't make it take. Just be honest he didn't play well in some of those loses.
There are many people to blame for Rodgers playoff losses 2009: Defense 2011: Total team failure 2012: Defense the whole game and Rodgers not showing up in the 2nd half 2013: Rodgers 2014: Rodgers, McCarthy, and Special Teams. Barry forgot to mention the Seahawks first td was on a fake field goal. 2015: Coaching 2016: Total team failure 2019: Total team failure 2020: Kevin King and LaFleur 2021: Rodgers and Special teams
finally someone having a sound opinion. people can't accept the fact that packers playoff losses are both bec of sometimes rodgers and sometimes the team. he dragged that awful packers 2016 offense to the nfccg, 2019 sf had the more superior team and 2015 he still took it to overtime but he deserves a lot of blame for the 2014,2021 and 2013 losses. 2014 was basically the most shocking one bec that team was almost invincible and rodgers couldn't do anything with 5 tos and also the brandon bostick mishap. all in all, i really hope he wins another one bec he one of the greatest qbs and people are underestimating his career
@@chrisnewman2896 Rodgers deserves blame for some of the losses I highlighted. However 2009, 2015, and 2020 were not his fault. In 2009, his defense allowed 45 points. Outside of the first and last plays of the game, Rodgers balled out. In 2015, most of his supporting cast was injured or bad. In 2020, Kevin King played the worst game of his career and LaFleur coached scared down the stretch.
Hey just letting you know Jared Abbrederis is my cousin. Not that I disagree with you saying he sucked he just wasn’t built for the NFL but it’s cool to be related to a former Packer.
I just want us to win this year. If Rodgers retires after this season like he mentioned he might, just once I want him to get the second Super Bowl that he deserved as one of the Top 5 best QBs and if we can’t I can’t help but blame ourselves.
I understand your thoughts. I would argue his defense is very complicate so it was just plain too difficult for new players to jump in to cover injuries or gaps in the roster. Its a defense built around Clay handling his side, Woodsen be free to come from everywhere, AJ Hawk the tackle monster in the middle and three of the best every, RAJI, PICKETT and DANIELs. So to say Capers failed to recognize that his schemes had to be changed to meet new players is fair to say.
@@OarenWraye1986 also fair to say Ted Thompson is no Ron 🐺 Lol.. that's where I see the Lions share of the blame..Capers has had a very long, successful career by NFL standards.. BUT.. that's not to say he Bears no responsibility for the lack of success post XLV
The defense has always been the Achilles heal for Green Bay. More often than not Rodgers and co was able to stack enough points on the board to outweigh the defensive shortcomings. It's not a good long term plan.
I'm a brady fan but Rodgers should have won that NFC game. Brady threw three interceptions and they just couldn't convert. As well as that field goal in the last two minutes
Lets play that one out: Opening drive TD by Bucs - the Packers gave up THREE 3rd and 7+ Packers tie the game at 7 - Defense lets Bucs regain the lead in all of 1:44 Kevin King then completely gets burned before half and its 21-10. Down 11. At home. At half. Great. Then it was the offenses turn. Thanks Aaron Jones. Fumble leads to 28-10. Yes, Tom Brady threw 3 INTs in the second half. Two of those were basically arm punts as GB took over inside their own 20. (One INT shoulda been a TD but it went thru the WRs arms) Why was Tampa so deep into GB territory when Brady finally threw two of those INTS? Well, the special teams let TB return it to the 40+ after each of GBs second half TDs. A total team effort in blowing that game.
I already knew this from watching the games and I'd give the receiving corps as much blame for the Giants loss in 2011 but the talking heads want to convince me that Rodgers isn't good in the playoffs, so thank you for being the voice of reason in these mad times. 2010 wasn't a defensive fluke, they were never down by more than one score, at any point in any game all year. Then in 2011 we lost the best safety of the (then) last 10 years not named Ed or Troy. Nick Collins was an obscene level talent.
I think he meant that it was a fluke that Capers produced a defense that good given how bad of a coach he was.
Absolutely a baller. I can say with confidence that Nick would’ve help us get at minimum one more ring along with a HOF career (maybe not 1st ballot but definitely in there).

People need to stop comparing their teams success to that of the Patriots. It's generational to actually see a dynasty in any particular sport. Most HOF QBs playing today have maybe 1 or 2 SB wins at most! Be happy to be one of the few handful of teams in the last 20 years to win a SB other than the Patriots.
bro you sound like a vegan on strike.
@@hihunter7 Dan Marino and Jim Kelly would like to talk to you about that
I'm confused by the remark, "Be happy to be one of the few handful of teams in the last 20 years to win a SB other than the Patriots." In the last 20 years the Patriots won 6 and other teams have won 14.
@@Saints-ji3vj He would still have pressure to deal with in the afc to: Patriots, Steelers, colts, Broncos, and Ravens.
You can't win Super Bowls on luck.
Saints 6709 Yay go Giants!! Too bad we’ve done absolutely nothing positive outside of those two Super Bowls victories
I'm pretty sure I could manage Rodgers better than the packers have
The new management has had to spend most of their draft capital on defense since Ted Thompson left because he was such a dumb a$$
But yeah even if they just had Tee Higgins that would help so much
I hear this and I think: "Wait, doesn't he get help from Aaron Jones?" One of the best RB's in the league?

Brees was robbed in 2018.

Another high quality video. You could easily make a career out of this.

Here's the deeper statistical analysis since I put so much work into it and dude was being petty deleting his comment so they wouldn't be seen:
Average NFL QB in 2019:
3760 Yards

4.5% TD per pass
2.3% INT per pass

Aaron Rodgers in 2019, compared against some of his peers.
4002 Yards (Mahomes: 4031, Lamar: 3127, Wilson: 4110, Brady: 4057, Brees: 2979)
26 TDs (Mahomes: 26, Lamar: 36, Wilson: 31, Brady: 24, Brees: 27)
4 INT (Mahomes: 5, Lamar: 6, Wilson: 5, Brady: 8, Brees: 4)
4.6% TD per pass (Mahomes: 5.4%, Lamar: 9%, Wilson: 6%, Brady: 3.9%, Brees: 7.1%)
0.7 INT per pass (Mahomes: 1%, Lamar: 1.5%, Wilson: 1%, Brady: 1.3%, Brees: 1.1%)
62% comp (Mahomes: 65.9%, Lamar: 66.1%, Wilson: 66.1%, Brady: 60.8%, Brees: 74.3%)
36 sacks (Mahomes: 17, Lamar: 23, Wilson: 48, Brady: 27, Brees: 12)
95.4 Quarterback Rating (Mahomes: 105.3, Lamar: 113.3, Wilson: 106.3, Brady: 88, Brees: 116.3)
In 2019, he was notable above average in yards, a bit above average in TDs, takes less sacks than average, is only 1.5% below average on completions but, of course, his signature stat, he DECIMATES the interception average both in total number and especially the int-per-pass %. This is Aaron Rodgers "in decline."
But wait, there's more!
NFL QBs since 2015:
3784 Yards
24.96 TDs
13.2 INT
4.48% TD per pass
2.38 INT per pass
63.3 % comp
37.76 sacks
89.94 Quarterback Rating
Aaron Rodgers since 2015 (averaged out, and this includes half a season in 2017 which drags a few numbers down):
3673.6 Yards
27.6 TDs
5.4 INT
5.5% TD per pass
1.2% INT per pass
62% comp
37.6 sacks
97.42 Quarterback Rating
Across the past five years, the Aaron Rodgers In Decline has 110 yards below average (once again, including an injury-shortened season that hurts that number,) throws about 2.5 more TDs, throws almost 2/3 fewer interceptions, throws more TDs per pass, throws significantly fewer INTs per pass, is only 1% below average on completions, takes almost exactly as many sacks as anyone else, and is significantly better in overall rating.
I'm not going to argue that he's way better than average, but he put up stats that are extremely competitive and did do with a receiving corps ranked 20th by PFF. (Chiefs: 4, Saints: 13, Pats: 26, Hawks: 25, Ravens: 31)

Cutler started that game, and played miserably until he faked an injury and gave up in the third quarter.

WOULD YA LOOK AT THAT
So Rodgers has a bad defense so it’s not his fault he lost. Brady has good defense so all the games he won mean nothing and he was just along for the ride. That’s awesome bro.
Rodgers wouldn't have choked against Giants twice in low scoring SBs, stay mad Bradyhumper
@@abhaybhatt4286no he wouldve just choked away 10 straight years of playoff runs instead.
I just relived a decade of heartbreak
Great video dude. Keep pumping out content like this.
These are all facts. This is why in football, SB is considered a team effort; not a single player. Thats why when people praise Brady so much I just laugh because they know nothing about football. The only game Rodgers should be blamed for is against the giants in 2011.
Even then, Rodgers got sacked and pressured non stop
@@BillyBob-ti2fz What about 2015? Was it Rodgers fault that his entire receiving corps were injured?
I see str8 Brady hate and this isn’t even a Brady topic 😂he must really be that good lol
Why can’t we just talk about Rodgers this is sad lmao
This proves why I say he still deserves to be mentioned with the greats. He’s been unbelievable from day 1.
His stats may not be the best but he's still a phenomenal QB
Kyle Hillman He threw for over 4,000 yards and had less than 5 INT’s. His stats aren’t the problem. It’s the front office and their inability to get him help.
@@UncleNahshonHonestly I think the only reason why the packers won't be a dynasty and why Rodgers only won 1 ring is because of the conference he is in. In the past 20 years there has only been 1 team to win more than 1 super bowl in the nfc and that's the Giants. If he was in the afc he would probably have 3 rings
Saints 6709 You know I’ve never thought about that. You might be on to something.
@@UncleNahshonYea i thought about it when i seen the video on my feed. The pats have only had 4 teams they had to worry about since brady got there in the afc the teams Manning was on, Ravens, Steelers, and the chiefs(when they decided to play good) so many teams in the nfc that we thought could be dynasties only could get one ring(Seahawks, Packers, Saints, maybe the 49ers though they haven't got one) I really just think its the conference he's in its basically a team thats a year or 2 removed from being bad or average in the nfc going to the super bowl every year(except the Seahawks but even when they went in '13 they weren't that good the year or 2 before)
That Seattle lost still hunts me to this day 😭
Stats can be deceiving.
Thanks for your analysis.
Sorry to harp on that game in particular, but I was convinced that the Packers were going to repeat as Super Bowl winners back in 2011 so I remember that game and the GB offensive implosion quite well.
this was spot on
@@gbrow1604 in both games, it should have never came down to special teams if rodgers had simply been decent. he threw 2 red zone picks in 2014. even with the packers conservative kicking in the red zone, if he threw 1 less pick, then the special teams don't matter.
I enjoy all of your videos man. They provide insight and are hilarious. Keep it up.

As a Packers fan, idk bro I believe Revis should've had 1 DPOY under his belt. Woodson will probs be last Heisman and NFL DPOY player ever imo
Revis was lockdown that year he deserved it no doubt
In that niners game Rodgers put up 24 points.
However he only scores 7 points after the 7 min mark in the third quarter.
But let's blame the defense
The last one is mostly on him. Special teams too but him as well.
Rewatching this after Rodgers lost to San Fran in the playoffs for the 4th time. They gonna be haunting his dreams

The 2012 packers season is literally the 2018 bears season if we swap the offensive narrative for defense.
Few plays our biggest deficit was 7 points that whole year. We would have gone 14-2 at least with home field in Chicago. Literally very Bears to be a placekicker away from a Super Bowl Championship. Should have signed Gould to one more season and we would have been holding up that Lombardi that season.
Reason why: literally the defense
On God.
Rodgers seem to get down early in a lot of his playoff loses. If he can persevere enough and mount a comeback in some of these games he might have another SB. In the NFL opportunities are far and few. Rodgers had his chances. Might not be a lot of them but its sports nothing is fair

Lets play that one out:
Opening drive TD by Bucs - the Packers gave up THREE 3rd and 7+
Packers tie the game at 7 - Defense lets Bucs regain the lead in all of 1:44
Kevin King then completely gets burned before half and its 21-10. Down 11. At home. At half. Great.
Then it was the offenses turn. Thanks Aaron Jones. Fumble leads to 28-10.
Yes, Tom Brady threw 3 INTs in the second half. Two of those were basically arm punts as GB took over inside their own 20. (One INT shoulda been a TD but it went thru the WRs arms)
Why was Tampa so deep into GB territory when Brady finally threw two of those INTS? Well, the special teams let TB return it to the 40+ after each of GBs second half TDs.
A total team effort in blowing that game.
