Love your videos. Rather than a paypal contribution, sell me some branded swag. How about a "B of NO" workshirt, like you wear? Cool shirt! Branded table accessories? Your fans love your videos and would wear your swag.

Hi Doug, Thanks for your videos. Much appreciated. I am a contractor so replaced my family room floor myself. Pool table move included. I am hyper detail oriented. I leveled frame and will work on slate soon. I bought new Mali cloth… thinking if I messed it up, I’m only out a hundred or so. My question is how much tension do you stretch the cloth from the corners? I’ve seen you put quite a bit of tension on new cloth. Lacking experience, this is where I am concerned. Thanks

    Hi Doug!
I watch all your pool table videos. Some I’ve watched multiple times. I really enjoy the education you provide for us newbies. You reveal the underbelly of these beasts in your programs. Your presentation is top notch, and yet you continue to polish your performance. Bravo to you and your channel. Keep the videos coming.

Hello Doug I can't thank you enough for your videos I have gained much knowledge on pool tables from recovering , leveling and putting on new cushions. Your stretch pattern is the best I have used the Mueller method and method from the Diamond company.
Your technique leaves just enough relief in the pockets. Also I love using the angle grinder on the cushions and facings. Leveling is still challenging but I'll get there. I would still like to see you do a video on calibrating a starrett level.
Thanks for all your effort you put in your videos.
    Bruce

Hi Doug. Love your videos and have studied them many times. The detail is fantastic, they actually convinced me to attempt a table restore. I'm helping my son restore an old coin op table converted for home use that he was given free. Of course, we all know how expensive free is! Problem is it has no name on it so ordering replacement parts has been a problem. Nothing "standard" or "universal" seems to work. After breaking it down still no manufacture markings. The table is a 1- piece slate and has a serial number located below the ball return K-80748. On the pocket liners I found the letter "K" stamped in old world or gothic style. I believe the cushion rubber is A48 style. Any help identifying manufacture would be great as well as companies that you would suggest for parts. Thanks for your videos keep them coming.

Thank you so much for the compliment!
Your table is an Irving Kay. And, unfortunately, they aren't made any more and parts aren't available. So, aside from finding a donor table for the necessary parts, I don't think you're going to have much success with the restoration. If you're handy enough, you could replicate any of the wooden parts. Even new rails could be fabricated. And, if you do fabricate new rails, I would convert them to use either K-66 or K-55 rubber.
Hope this helps. Let me know how the restoration goes for you.

@@CreativeRestorations Thank you so much for the info, that helps a lot. I will be replicating some of the wooden parts and restoring the cabinet. All of the chrome trim is there and in decent shape just mainly needs polishing. The pocket liners are going to be the hardest to replace since they are slightly longer around the top than most replacement ones on the market. Looks like a lot of internet surfing for me. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Doug. New subscriber here, liking the super-informative videos. I've recently acquired a coin-op 6ft american pool table. It was in private ownership when I got it, but I suspect it must have been in comercial use before that, since it's really pretty worn. I'd very much like to recondition it as best I can as a project. What I'd love to do first is identify the make, but unfortunalty the original badges are pretty dinged up. the best of them shows the letters "FRIGOTER" - there may be more letters at the end so that may not be the whole name, but I'm sure of that bit that I can make out... Googling that name doesn't yield anything helpful... in all your years in the business have you ever come across anything like that name? I'd love to find out anything about the company that made this table... TIA! Paul G. (Brit living in Norway)
