Your conclusion mirrors our own as far as which to choose. That said, we do struggle to go over $100 for almost anything these days because the value proposition starts to get lopsided in our mind. Great video with a fair and balanced take.
I love the regular Michter’s’ straight rye. Perhaps my favorite daily sipper!. I get butterscotch on the pallet. I have M10 bourbon, which is great, but the M10 rye is my unicorn.
The 10 year bourbon never really impressed me enough to spend 150-200 for a bottle. With the Rye it’s like whiskey candy and I kick myself for not getting a backup bottle
My favorite M10 is the rye. When comparing this to high proof unicorn/hitter whiskeys the M10s don’t compare very well because of the low proof points. If I wanted an excellent pour in the middle of the week then I’d reach for the m10 before an Old Carter, 4Gate, etc… in that price range
I just lucked into M10 Rye at retail. Even if I strike out over the next two months I’ll still consider that a big enough win for the season. I’m even more excited to open it now after watching this!

Just picked up the rye for 145! Super excited to open it
