I went a little crazy in Louisville at Justin's House of Bourbon recently...paid $150 for a 1/2 oz pour of Michter's 20 Year bourbon...but OMG I'm glad I did just to be able to try it, it is special whiskey.
Nice review Judge! I picked up a bottle at the end of last year at BevMo for 165.00 and it’s fantastic! I would buy any year for 200.00 for sure! I also got a Michters 10yr bourbon a few weeks ago at BevMo for 200.00 and it’s really nice! Cheers!
Well, I would have loved to run out and get this for $200, but I picked up the one bottle they had and it was $275! Ugh! That being said, it is a great rye. I picked up their 2024 10 year Bourbon last month which is phenomenal and this is definitely a great close second to that. Never had anything that wasn’t excellent from Michters! Thanks for another great review Judge!
Nice review Judge. I was lucky to get 2 bottles of Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon 2023 and recently picked up a bottle of Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon 2024. Both are outstanding. Not a big rye guy, but picked up a Michter’s Barrel Strength Rye 2024. 🥃
I just found this at a steak house in Chicago. It was quite good once. I think if you like it then buying the bottle if you can find it is worth it. Otherwise you’re paying $45 for a single pour. It was very good.
Had the opportunity to tour the distillery last week (9/5). They just released a new barrel. I got to sample it and the 10 year bourbon at the bar. Wasn’t going to buy the bottle until I got the sample. This rye killed the bourbon. The bartender said it’s the best this year. So glad I got it now!
Scored one yesterday and somehow $35 below the 200msrp (i still blew most of my whiskey budget for the next 2mos😂). Cracked it and it…is…heavenly. Worth it!
I was able to trade for my first M10 bourbon a few months ago it's the 2020 release. I am waiting for the right occasion to open it! I am so excited though
Paid $74 for a 2ounce pour at a local restaurant, and it was the best $74 I spent! Extremely hard to get in SC, you pretty much gotta know somebody who knows somebody, or pay extreme amounts ($300-$500 ) at a small store that price gouges. I probably won't ever get my hands on a bottle but it's a great pour for sure!!! Thanks Judge!
Great review. Did Michters send you the 24A barrel? I have seen this 24A00130 barrel now on your channel, black bourbon family and the 2 other people reviewers online. Seems like maybe Michters knew what they are doing if these were sent from them.
Love the review. However the msrp is not necessarily the final price. I was able to get two bottles of $10 bourbon. Msrp $185. $155 in Illinois. Now, how was this compared to the 2023 10 year Rye? I love that rye. Still have half a bottle. Breaking bourbon gave it 5 barrel. Highest honors. Would love to see a comparison video. Cheers!
I had opportunity at three bottles of this a couple weeks ago for $229.99. I passed. I don't regret it one bit. I am sure it is very good but I just can't accept why it should be priced at 200+, especially at that proof and only 10 years. I am just not playing that game anymore. I still always love your reviews, Judge!
@drinks4days For examples of what I have picked up very recently: Four Roses SBBS store pick (OBSQ mashbill but I'd grab any of them) for $99.99 and a backup Calumet 15 Year (which I personally prefer over the 16) for $109.99. Taking a quick glance at my bar I see a JD 10 Year for $99.99, Knob Creek 15 Year for $104, and two Staggs that were $79.99 each. I am not going to dig further but that should give help you out. I am glad you enjoy your Michter's and that I have a multitude of choices that I prefer for much less. One final note: my little local store received 9 bottles of Shenk's ($139.99) and 6 bottles of Bomberger's ($159.99) earlier in the week. Currently, only two of the Shenk's have been purchased so far and ALL of the Bomberger's are still sitting on the shelf. I am sure they are both good but the lack of transparency and pricing of Michter's products keeps me from purchasing. Sorry.

I got lucky to find a michters barrel strength rye 2024, omg that bottle is amazing. Hoping to find a michters 10 year bourbon
Nice Dave…
Who doesn’t love a 10 year Michters? Crazy people, that’s who. Cheers Judge!!!
Yes sir
Just found this for $198…you are right that it’s a chunk of change, but from your review I think I’ll hold onto it instead of trading.

Congrats my man👏🏾🥃

Thanks for the heads up Judge! Can’t wait to grab this one. Cheers 🥃
Any time!
Just picked up the 24B1103. I absolutely love it.
Was lucky to get the 2024 10 year bourbon. Haven't seen the rye around my parts yet

Thats a good idea. A comparison is needed
Great review Marcus! I'm super excited for this bottle 🥃
Thnx Shane. Congrats too
Hey man I just had the opportunity today to get this bottle. Great review!
Ty sir
Cheers, Judge! 🍻
Expensive, but so delish. Got lucky and was able to get a second bottle last year after devouring the first one.
Yes it is!! Amazing
You took them glasses off to read that Barrel number 😂😂😂. If you can see better without them, throw them bad boys away. Great review on the Michters
Lol
Tell me you don't know how glasses work without telling me you don't know how glasses work
If I can find one I will buy it.
Thanks for the review Judge...how does it compare to the 2024 Michters Barrel Strength Rye?
Elegance vs bold and sweet
Definitely a grab😎
Trying to keep my purchases under $100…but, I’d grab one of those if I ever saw one
Judge I need your connections. Another great video man🥃🥃🥃
I appreciate that - cheers Devi!
Michter’s doesn’t miss !
No doubt!!

This never happened, typical Biden voter
Some people would rather have 4 bottles of swill instead of 1 really good bottle. This is one of those really good bottles
@drinks4days No swill for me, thank you, but two $100 hitters and money left in my pocket instead will suffice nicely! 😂
@@JonBlankmanwhat $100 hitters would you rather have?

I'm not paying $200 for a bottle. There are other ryes that are cheaper and just as good.
Like what? I'm just curious, because I'm not spending that kind of money either. But I did get a chance to taste the 2023 rye and it was really good.
I thought these were $150 releases? Must be more inflation bs
Lol
I paid 280 🫣 but I would do it again! I have 36 bottles mostly allocated and this is my favorite!
Good stuff
