The regular michters rye is probably the first bottle that i consistently drank before getting into whisky so i like to think michters started me on my journey 🥃
Finally found a sour mash allocated here in VA and it is delicious. Bottles last me years & that was gone in a week. Never have had a subpar Michters offering though. My friend just snagged an also allocated Toasted barrel strength rye for me, cannot wait!!!
Sorry we don't know that area really well and don't know what stores are great to shop at. But good luck and keep us updated on which stores you stop at.
Agree, love Michters, especially the Rye, keep the Michters 10 yr back for special occasions. Visited friends in Florida, she wanted me to bring Michters sour mash, I did, and I brought the rye, we finished the rye first.
Love Michter’s. They are better - and lower proof - because their barrel entry proof is lower than most distillers. This yields less and lower proof, and ultimately costs them more, but it concentrates the flavors like a full proof would. Well done, I like the distillery favorites idea.
Great video, gents. I absolutely love Michter’s. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to pick up any toasted products yet but hopefully one day. I did however just get a bottle of Barrel Strength Rye so looking forward to cracking that one open soon.
Love this video idea! I have a decent collection now and always see things on the shelf that I pass up on if I have one bottle from that distillery already. This gives me a good idea of what to get next. Cheers 🥃
Barrel Strength Rye is hands-down one of the best things I've ever had... I think I have 6 and will grab every one I come across at a reasonable price. The Barrel Strength Toasted Rye is good, and definitely a cold weather pour as you mentioned, but a touch sweet for personal preference. The one I'm really curious about is the Barrel Proof Bourbon... Any insight??
Michters toasted rye is their best as far as the stuff the actually obtainable in some way. Never had the 20 25 and they are impossible so im not really counting them. But out of the rest, its the toasted rye.
Definitely like this format of tops from a particular distillery. Love the Sour Mash and the toasted bourbon. Hope to get ahold of the other two toasted bottles one day, I've seen them a couple times for crazy prices lol. 🥃
Great video idea gentlemen! Keep up the great ideas and let's see more live streams and more videos during the week! Of course I say this knowing Zach has a newborn and Dave is training the next Dan Issel 🤣.
I love Michters. Just wish I could get my hands on some of the toasted, 10 year and barrel strength versions. Small batch, sour mash are good. American whiskey is a little too light for me. Have you gone to fort Nelson to bottle your own? If not, that would make a great video! Cheers!
Really digging the content. I just found my first Michter's 10 Rye a few months back and that is my favorite, but I also haven't had any of their toasted offerings yet.

The Sour Mash is allocated in VA and hard to find but I did buy a bottle on Sunday.
What’s your thoughts on the barrel strength bourbon?
Really great just missed making the list.
I’m in Covington Ky for two days. What store has the best selection?

I like the Small Batch Sour Mash but for me the 10 year Bourbon is the cream of the crop !! It was also the first Michter's I bought..
Ive been lucky enough to grab the last 3 releases of the barrelproof rye. Theyre all slightly different, but each one still delicious
Sour mash is amazing
Totally agree!

The toasted barrels are so damn good. If you ever are able to snag one. Do so

Shenks and or Bombergers
Zach is a big fan of Bombergers.
