I love Shane as a character, as a person id punt him into traffic 😂
You should do a video analyzing how differently Shane's fate might be if Rick had never been shot. Do you think it would have made a difference if Shane and Rick could depend on eachother all through the appocalypse without the guilt of the accidental cheating that happened when Shane slept with Rick's "widow"? Without that initial separation and conflict it might be that Shane could have nudged Rick to adopt a more practical mindset without himself slipping into mental instability. Back before the appocalypse Rick was the Sherrif so both men were used to Rick being the ranking superior. Thus that dynamic might just naturally continue with Shane as Rickis #2. Shane never has to lead or adapt to the appocalypse by himself while trying to keep Rick's widow and child alive; he just helping Rick do that and following his lead.
It might be a very different outcome where Shane never becomes unhinged and Rick adapts as well without ever having to kill his best friend.
I will definitely keep that in mind it’s a very interesting concept to think about thank you so much for the suggestion!

Very good video, Shane is one of my favorite character in the show and I'm so glad that they didn't killed him off as he was in the comics. Keep it up ! I rarely hit the bell but trust me I already did for you !

When i first watched this show i hated Shane so much that i hated Jon Bernthal, once i got a little older I realized that just made him an amazing actor. Now its nothing but respect for the man.
whenever i think about ricks life small town cop with a small family to loosing them all i just feel bad for him best freind son and wife he deserves MORE than a happy ending.
In my Opinion Shane was too irrational and Angry. I honestly believe that if shane was in charge he would've got everyone killed, exept maybe Rick's family but Eventually them too and he would've Eventually got into Negan type of stuff or would've joined another group similar to Himself but he wouldn't have wanted to be a follower so he'd probably start killing people " accidentally" like Otis

Makes me wonder what would’ve happened if Lori had died in the beginning of the outbreak. Leaving Shane to watch over Carl before Rick came back. How would Shane have reacted to his best friend coming back without the drama with lori being involved.
I feel as if Shane was the better “Defender” where Rick was the better overall leader and survivor when dealing with others

Idk y but I have a feeling Shane didn't want to live anymore like if he made peace with it because he couldn't have what he wanted Lori , Carl, Judith, and his best friend. He didn't ask to fall in love with her and her mentality fking him .
So I feel like he wanted Rick to learn what he already knew that you have to make tough decisions for your family. He wanted Rick to fight for them no matter how hard it is . Shane made Rick who he became .

Officer Friendly came back after Negan offed Glenn and Abraham. The proof was when Negan almost forgot Lucille and teased Rick about it "I just slipped my d*** down your throat and you thanked me for it". Most of season 7 Rick was officer friendly. It wasn't until he saw how tough Maggie was that the Shane side recovered.
John Bernthal made the character believable.
