Once shane calmed down, he woukd have easily taken down plenty of women of his own. Honestly, shane is what rick turns into later. He was a leader and ready for whatever, he was willing to sacrifice for his main group at anytime , but he kost it when rick returned , which both shaned him for leaving him behind, which he had no real choice, and losing carl and laurie to rick, who hadnt lroperly adjusted so he seen him as an issue , which was conflicting. If shane wasnt co flicyed and let them go, ge would have had no ossue getting Andrea, or any other woman, it was sololy his conflict with rick that lead him to snap, and once she was pregnant, his brain broke even further. Remember this was weeks in. After a rew months , shane woukd havw found a way to power.
@Ares99999 That's true , no he didn't. Still in the end rick survived because of Shane, ricks wire and son survived because of Shane, and Judith is Shane's daughter. The fact is in that environment, that Insane level of stress and emotion. Shane coukd have rick mkre times then i can count , so he wasn't all bad. He literally lost his mind to a degree. Even then, tge group survived because Shane made the right calls, we the audience of course wanted rick to be the leader, in the end rick became Shane, if not far worse then him. Shane just made hard calls easier then rick did, Shane put his group and family first, including rick and his family , he would have done anything for them. If rick had listened to him from the start and showed him a bit of trust , worked as partners rather then him being bossman and Shane his second , he might have done better sooner and also both survived. Looking at rick now, you see Shane.
This is a tough one, these are my favourite characters. I do think that Abe takes the win more often than not based on stature, load out and combat experience like you said but he’d be a fool to underestimate Shane as Officer unfriendly is still quite capable of putting big red in the forever box especially if Abe let’s his guard down. I’d also suspect that Shane has way better cardio based on his build vs Abrahams
I always say this, the TWD universe should be lucky there were no professional fighters in the whole series. Don’t get me wrong, military brutes like Abraham are badass and all but imagine a UFC world champion in the TWD universe they would easily be the baddest dude there hand to hand combat wise. Imagine someone like George St Pierre was spawned in TWD
i mean i get why, it makes sense for abraham to win in every single situation, he is a former military/army man shane is apart of the pd, military/army will 99% of the time win in a fight against someone in the pd. military go through more training, specifically physical training and gun handling than a person that is apart of the pd. im saying this as a fan that likes shane more, its just hard to argue when shane doesnt have the height advantage, doesnt have the combat skills to beat abe, and for someone that got knocked almost knocked out by running into a tree compared to someone who taken 2 hits from lucile its in my opinion blatantly obvious abe wins (again im saying this as someone that likes shane more than abe).
An important tidbit when comparing the M16 to a shotgun. STATISTICALLY, it only takes 1 shot of buckshot to kill the target, while a 5.56x45 round is very survivable.
fun fact, infantry does not prefer an ar-15 platform in a cqb scenario, the ar-15 is issued because its versatile enough to be utilized in a close quarter battle
abraham got knocked down by glenn even tho he wasn't expecting it and he lost to a featless guy at hill top this is way closer than you said also abraham is 6 foot so its just an inch difference and abraham is just fat while shane is muscle so shane realistically would be stronger considering he weighs alot more than he looks
Abraham is just too slow to react to punches, Shane would have saw that coming from a mile away, he caught Ricks punch easy and any version of Rick is a better fighter than any version of Glenn
I think you undersold Shane's weapons training. Neither one of them were struggling to hit their targets with high accuracy even in a stressful situation. So, I would have to say any difference is cosmetic which results in weapons accuracy being =.
A prodigal survivor to describe shane is so well worded. One could argue half or more than half of the pain the group went through with rick under leadership wouldve never happened bc Shane wouldve been too ruthless to give any other groups a chance.
I agree with everything you said except hand to hand combat like looking at it as a martial artist both rick and shane are really really good i think if it was just fist fighting shane might stand a chance even though abraham is bigger and still really good.
Something I didn't see addressed here (but perhaps I missed it) is that Shane is a treacherous little snake. I think in a standup fight Abe has the advantage, but I wonder if Shane would even take that fight unless he had some sort of advantage/had the drop on Abe.
If anyone could hold their own against Abraham, it's Shane. Granted abraham would still win however Shane is still a beast. I feel like Shane would do Fairley well before eventually getting shit on by abraham
What are you talking about? Even Shane has shown a bunch of feats in 2 seasons that he would have crushed Abe with. What about the other characters? Abe is a fake who has not shown himself in any way. I am ashamed to read such comments
Shane really wouldn’t stand a chance. He was never in a good state of mind throughout his entire time on the show and didn’t have the guts to do what he thought was necessary (such as when he failed to put Sophia down and hesitated in trying to kill Rick). Abraham, on the other hand, was able to think rationally and act clever in tight situations. He had some serious courage and bravery, doing some wild things up until his final moments. Abraham is also far more physically intimidating. Abraham would be able to outlast Shane both physically and mentally and overpower him with superior will.
Canonically (as for the SHOW, I've not read the comics yet) then Abraham has superior military training, and I think he outweighs Shane by a good margin too. But, I think many commenters aren't considering how cunning, and savage Shane could be, alongside how gd quick he was on his feet, and how talented both in hand to hand combat, and various firearms. It'd be an interesting one to see, but I really gotta say that my money would be on Shane, mostly because I think Shane would be a lot more savage in their fight. Like Abraham seemed like a kind soul, who might not pull out the same dirty moves that a guy like Shane would do right off rip. Abraham is the one you really don't want to take a hit from, but Shane is the one who would drop down and cut your Achilles mid fight
Nah. I think it could go either way. As a guy who’s 5’11 180 pounds and has a brother who’s 6’1 220 pounds there’s really not much difference with that (we’ve had plenty of fights, I’ve won some and he’s won some). Abraham is big sure but he’s not muscular big. He’s like construction dad bod big. Whereas Shane is pretty ripped. And as much as people wanna believe size matters in a fight it doesn’t matter that much. (Unless it’s so massively disproportionate) But they’re basically equal in height and Shane’s definitely faster with better cardio. Abe gets a slight, SLIGHT advantage in strength. Age definitely plays a factor too. Abe is obviously late 40’s early 50’s. Shane is early 30’s younger men have higher testosterone and can handle harsher punishments and recover quicker. What Abe has going for him is military training (with weapons) being military doesn’t make you an expert hand to hand combatant. But also Shane is a weapons expert (Rick said it in an episode when talking to Laurie about having Shane train Carl to shoot) Rick said Shane taught firearm classes and was the best shooter he’s ever known. Plus just look at shooting ability and Shane never missed lol dude could draw and shoot a squirrels ass from 50 yards with a Glock lol. Where Abe does a lot of pray and spray with the M-16. So the shooting isn’t a big gap either. Knives- just cause Abe has a bigger knife doesn’t mean he wins lol. Once again agility speed and reaction time plays the biggest factor in a knife fight. And once again age plays a factor here, Shane would be faster have better reaction time and has far better cardio based on age alone that’s not even breaking into what physical shape they’re in. I like both characters but it’s one of those match ups where it could honestly go either way on any given day. TWD brought in Abe to be this untouchable badass (until he wasn’t lol, NEGAN) Where Shane had to be vulnerable in order to have Rick kill him to progress the story. And if we’re being real about that Rick was a terrible fighter and not nearly as good of a shot as Shane. The only reason why Rick got the best of Shane was because Shane was conflicted and didn’t truly want to kill Rick.
Shane is my all time favorite character, but if we are being completely honest, Abraham would probably win. He’s a lot like Shane just a better in every aspect.
Verbal slip up at the end: You said "Abraham would likely defeat Shane by a ratio of 9 to 10" while showing a percentage 90% meaning ratio 90 to 10 or 9 to 1
What would kill Abraham in a l/d scenario against Shane, is that he's too good of a man and would likely end up betrayed or left for dead. However, Shane is a good person and the interest of the whole group is important to him, so he would never drop Abraham because of his value. As for Abraham, like you said I don't see anyone beating him in any combat scenario.
Abraham is a better contributor to the group but Shane is a far better tactician. Abe was willing to "push through" hundreds of zombies with just six people and having to protect Eugene on their way to Washington. Shane was only wrong about Benning but every other decision he made was proven to be correct. In a fistfight, Shane gives a decent fight, probably high on the list for people squaring up against Abe but loses 75% of the time, at least. In CQC, I would say this is 50/50 as Shane has the gun that specialises in close battles but obviously loses at range. Overall, Abraham is built better but Shane is more mentally adept, especially for the apocalyse. Ofc, he only sees 2-3 months in the apocalypse, whereas Abraham doesn't come in until a year so it's hard to say if Shane would switch weapons or how much he'd polish his aim after a year, but he'd likely still lose a fistfight and at long range but would likely win indoors. If a fight were to happen, it'd depend on if the show chose to let it devolve into a fistfight or settle it in the obvious tightly packed indoors area shootout. After all, Rick was likely weaker than Shane statistically at the start but became pretty crazy after a year or two in the apocalypse.
There's a saying that masters of skills, combat types, tactical thinkings, ect, find complete novices harder to deal with than those who are somewhat knowledgeable or experienced. Masters can predict how experienced or trained people act, but it's impossible to predict a complete amateur. So Shane's police training and experience would likely make him an Easier Target for a combat veteran like Abraham lol But that also goes both ways, and I could see Shane's odd win in a series of fights due to him recognizing that his opponent is a combat veteran and figuring an out of the normal method for getting an advantage or dealing with Abe
There's a deleted scene from season one where Shane was running from a horde of walkers when they were in Atlanta and he was running for a long time so based on that scene and the scene from the school with Otis I'd give Shane the edge in the endurance catagory
@@H.K.5he kinda did. After dale's death, while shane was driving with andrea on his right side, he looked at her two times expecting her to look back.
Gun fight:Shane could, easily win if there both out 0f ammo because all Shane has to do is load one round and destroy his head (close range if far range Shane most likely loses) Close quarters:Abraham out skills but if we’re forgetting skill Shane could win because as we can see Shane doesn’t use his brute force a lot he uses his skill more while Abraham uses his brute force more so Shane could actually and Shane ran into a tree almost full speed breaking his nose and injured his head heavily which would kill a man so most likely Shane wins hand t0 hand (if there both blood lust) Durability/Speed:Shane-He’s done stuff which would kill a normal human (like running into that tree) he even jumped out (I think) a two story building and walked it off with a broken leg and even ran on it for the rest of his days and (imo) the fastest character in TWD he also dodged multiple attacks from Ted’s shovel Physical Strength:Shane-Walkers at Abraham’s time became even less impressive like him being able to break the already almost destroyed and rotten head of a Walker while Shane is able to hold an entire bus door closed (mostly) from an entire horde and was able to daze Rick with one punch and even overpowered Daryl + destroyed multiple walkers with a shovel + Shane was able to easily snap Randal’s neck which takes 4,448 newtons (That’s equivalent to 1,000 pounds force or about a half a ton) Striking Strength:Shane-Just because Abraham is a walking beast (which he is) doesn’t mean he’s super strong Shane did stuff like nearly get to Daryl while everybody else was holding him back he easily beat Otis to a bloody pulp he even overpowered Ted (I think that was his name) who had a shovel with ease who was able to dig for hours while being tired and easily swing a shovel IQ:Shane-He has better quick thinking and ideas BIQ:Abraham-No need to explain Power:Abraham-Able to easily beat people and throw em around Lifting:Abraham-He could lift Shane but not slam him down as Shane would struggle to much Skills:Abraham-No need to explain Combat styles/Combat:Abraham-lol Weapons:Shane-Yeah it’s close but it’s Shane Stamina:Shane-……Really? Intelligence:Shane/Abraham-Its a tie Overall:Shane/Abraham Winner:Shane 60% Abraham 40% Overall though it a tie lol I’ll debate

Throughout the show, we see rick evolve from officer friendly into an unstoppable killing machine. If Shane had survived past season two, he might have become someone who could defeat Abraham, but season 2 Shane doesn't have what it takes.

I love the Hickock45 clip you put in the video!
Hahaha really enjoyed the video!
the shotgun is literally a weapon of war too tho
I wonder how interactions between these 2 would've played out
Once shane calmed down, he woukd have easily taken down plenty of women of his own.
Coulda. Shoulda. DIDN'T.
Shane was killed by Rick, who ended up orders of magnitudes more badass.
Great video, hope we can get the Shane vs Merle matchup at some point. Or Merle vs Abraham
The glazing for Abraham is MASSIVE on this channel.
Better than brain dead Shane stans.
Legit Shane is the most glazed character and he put up real arguments for Abraham
Bro thinks Abraham is a DC character
i mean i get why, it makes sense for abraham to win in every single situation, he is a former military/army man shane is apart of the pd, military/army will 99% of the time win in a fight against someone in the pd. military go through more training, specifically physical training and gun handling than a person that is apart of the pd.
im saying this as a fan that likes shane more, its just hard to argue when shane doesnt have the height advantage, doesnt have the combat skills to beat abe, and for someone that got knocked almost knocked out by running into a tree compared to someone who taken 2 hits from lucile its in my opinion blatantly obvious abe wins (again im saying this as someone that likes shane more than abe).
Absolute 🔥🔥🔥 in every way my G. 💯
An important tidbit when comparing the M16 to a shotgun. STATISTICALLY, it only takes 1 shot of buckshot to kill the target, while a 5.56x45 round is very survivable.
How about doing the wolves versus terminus?
I love that you used the Ginger DBZ character as well lol
fun fact, infantry does not prefer an ar-15 platform in a cqb scenario, the ar-15 is issued because its versatile enough to be utilized in a close quarter battle
abraham got knocked down by glenn even tho he wasn't expecting it and he lost to a featless guy at hill top
this is way closer than you said also abraham is 6 foot so its just an inch difference and
abraham is just fat while shane is muscle so shane realistically would be stronger considering he weighs alot more than he looks
Triggered Shane fan. Really, what do you see in this loser?
Abraham is just too slow to react to punches, Shane would have saw that coming from a mile away, he caught Ricks punch easy and any version of Rick is a better fighter than any version of Glenn
Both those situations he is borderline hallucinating. Yea Shane has a chance if he’s in that state. But a focused Abraham? Not even close.
Bro thinks Abraham was fat....
@ he is
Shanes gun was an m590 with a 20 inch barrel bead sight, Blackhawk recoil gen 1 stock , and an 8 + 1 capacity.
Given that you said “point 50 rounds” instead of “50 caliber” paints a good picture as to how much you actually know.
You can literally use both.
Brain dead comment.
Shane fanboy mad about the outcome of the video
@@HawkMcbride Abraham is my second favorite character in the show
Shit on lmao
I think you undersold Shane's weapons training. Neither one of them were struggling to hit their targets with high accuracy even in a stressful situation. So, I would have to say any difference is cosmetic which results in weapons accuracy being =.
***Abraham got stomped by a random ahh mf from Woodbury***
honestly should of done abe vs beta this shit ain't even close
A prodigal survivor to describe shane is so well worded. One could argue half or more than half of the pain the group went through with rick under leadership wouldve never happened bc Shane wouldve been too ruthless to give any other groups a chance.
Abraham is my pick
Look at you taking it like a champ 😢
I agree with everything you said except hand to hand combat like looking at it as a martial artist both rick and shane are really really good i think if it was just fist fighting shane might stand a chance even though abraham is bigger and still really good.
Shane: “let me tell you you something”
Abraham: *pulls out rpg and laughs*
6:51 Without getting dazed? He looks like he's seeing stars to me
👀
Keyword “to you”
Something I didn't see addressed here (but perhaps I missed it) is that Shane is a treacherous little snake.
Shane is overhyped.
@Ares99999 Idk for a dude who was only in 2 out of 11 seasons he sure made a huge impact and there's a reason people still talk about him today
What are you talking about? Even Shane has shown a bunch of feats in 2 seasons that he would have crushed Abe with. What about the other characters? Abe is a fake who has not shown himself in any way. I am ashamed to read such comments
@@Ares99999how? By my count Abraham was getting whipped 2x by weaker opponents than Shane
@@jamesdiamond533doesn’t mean he wasn’t overhyped lol you refuted nothing
Shane really wouldn’t stand a chance. He was never in a good state of mind throughout his entire time on the show and didn’t have the guts to do what he thought was necessary (such as when he failed to put Sophia down and hesitated in trying to kill Rick). Abraham, on the other hand, was able to think rationally and act clever in tight situations. He had some serious courage and bravery, doing some wild things up until his final moments. Abraham is also far more physically intimidating. Abraham would be able to outlast Shane both physically and mentally and overpower him with superior will.
Shane was a 5’11” 170lbs beat Cop - emotional basket case. Abraham was a 6’2” 225lb Army combat veteran - absolute Chad. No contest.
i love how the DE looks like a normal gun in Abrahams hands.
@jamesshepherdson5578
Yeah, Abe makes it look more like an M1911 or Beretta M9 lol
It’s not good how happy this vid makes me 😂😂😂😂
Some of my fav characters
lets not forget abe got absolutely grounded by some random saviour thats half his size lol
(Unless it’s so massively disproportionate)
But they’re basically equal in height and Shane’s definitely faster with better cardio.
TWD brought in Abe to be this untouchable badass (until he wasn’t lol, NEGAN)
Where Shane had to be vulnerable in order to have Rick kill him to progress the story.
Abraham barely has any feats whereas Shane manhandled Rick with ease. As tough as Abe was, there’s no proof he would’ve had an easy time with Rick.
@@H.K.5-0/10 rage bate
@@Bellamyblake770 Not really, you just can’t handle the facts. Come back when you’re older.
When’s the Carl vs Sophia video coming out?
So Shane's police training and experience would likely make him an Easier Target for a combat veteran like Abraham lol
But that also goes both ways, and I could see Shane's odd win in a series of fights due to him recognizing that his opponent is a combat veteran and figuring an out of the normal method for getting an advantage or dealing with Abe
Semi-unrelated, but I love the choice of OST in your videos. Fighters Destiny was the shit.
FD was awesome. The music in that game was solid.
There's a deleted scene from season one where Shane was running from a horde of walkers when they were in Atlanta and he was running for a long time so based on that scene and the scene from the school with Otis I'd give Shane the edge in the endurance catagory
That’s stamina
Dale vs Hershell
When?
Shane should have leave with Andrea and live a happy life
PS: Rick losing to Shane and still wanting to fight Abraham (church) it's crazy
Shane was a nutjob that ended up gutted by a far better man than him. Get over this loser.
Shane didn’t even like Andrea.
@@H.K.5he kinda did. After dale's death, while shane was driving with andrea on his right side, he looked at her two times expecting her to look back.
Rick won that fight tho
Rick won he beat Shane's aas
Thank you i see so many people say shane would win like shane would get ragdolled by abe
8:33 that was not a Schwarznegger bro, I heard that I
Putting two WW2 veterans against each other is crazy
YOOOOOO do a Rick vs Abraham THATTTT would be a really cool fight
7:01, to be fair to glen he was hit twice, once when he was on the ground.
Dale VS Mica video when?
Man I’ll never stop missing Abraham.
I think if Shane had survived longer he would have picked up some sort of fixed blade.
Didn't Abraham get dropped by Glenn's punch? And wasn't he having trouble keeping him on the ground?
I can't imagine Shane winning a hand-to-hand without fighting dirty... I also expect he WOULD.
Gun fight:Shane could, easily win if there both out 0f ammo because all Shane has to do is load one round and destroy his head (close range if far range Shane most likely loses)
Close quarters:Abraham out skills but if we’re forgetting skill Shane could win because as we can see Shane doesn’t use his brute force a lot he uses his skill more while Abraham uses his brute force more so Shane could actually and Shane ran into a tree almost full speed breaking his nose and injured his head heavily which would kill a man so most likely Shane wins hand t0 hand (if there both blood lust)
Durability/Speed:Shane-He’s done stuff which would kill a normal human (like running into that tree) he even jumped out (I think) a two story building and walked it off with a broken leg and even ran on it for the rest of his days and (imo) the fastest character in TWD he also dodged multiple attacks from Ted’s shovel
Physical Strength:Shane-Walkers at Abraham’s time became even less impressive like him being able to break the already almost destroyed and rotten head of a Walker while Shane is able to hold an entire bus door closed (mostly) from an entire horde and was able to daze Rick with one punch and even overpowered Daryl + destroyed multiple walkers with a shovel + Shane was able to easily snap Randal’s neck which takes 4,448 newtons (That’s equivalent to 1,000 pounds force or about a half a ton)
Striking Strength:Shane-Just because Abraham is a walking beast (which he is) doesn’t mean he’s super strong Shane did stuff like nearly get to Daryl while everybody else was holding him back he easily beat Otis to a bloody pulp he even overpowered Ted (I think that was his name) who had a shovel with ease who was able to dig for hours while being tired and easily swing a shovel
IQ:Shane-He has better quick thinking and ideas
BIQ:Abraham-No need to explain
Power:Abraham-Able to easily beat people and throw em around
Lifting:Abraham-He could lift Shane but not slam him down as Shane would struggle to much
Skills:Abraham-No need to explain
Combat styles/Combat:Abraham-lol
Weapons:Shane-Yeah it’s close but it’s Shane
Stamina:Shane-……Really?
Intelligence:Shane/Abraham-Its a tie
Overall:Shane/Abraham
Winner:Shane 60% Abraham 40%
Overall though it a tie lol I’ll debate
I've seen 3 of ur videos today in wich u covered the mossberg. Yet in every video the ammo capacity is different..?
You can some up these guys by the first weapons it ever shows them use. Abraham is precise like an AR. Shane is like a shotgun very straight to the point effective if pointed in the right direction.
Can you do all of Rick’s right hand men (Daryl, Tyrese,Dwight at least in comics) comparison to Shane and other antagonists. Ps great video
Also its pretty common for LEOs to be involved in more firefights/combat experiences then a E5 with a combat tour. lol
Throughout the show, we see rick evolve from officer friendly into an unstoppable killing machine. If Shane had survived past season two, he might have become someone who could defeat Abraham, but season 2 Shane doesn't have what it takes.
Abe has a chance until Shane talkes off his hat rubs his head goes "LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ABE" and hits the 0.00000000001% instal kill proc chance.
Keeping Abraham round longer is one of the best changes the show ever made.
