I picked up squad and downloaded the mod on the last day of the steam summer sale. I've been hooked ever since. Both sides of the game are fun, but I can't get over how awesome it is to be playing this mod. 2 awesome games for the price of 1
they should add those pulse grenades the clones used to immobilize tanks

Yes! It was down for a week after 3.0 released but it is up!

Download the mod on steam workshop, then there are 2 servers on the official server list!
I believe that a good battlefront game would be a mix between battlefield and star Wars, make us beaucoup in a battlefield and not un à movie

Both servers have been completely full the last week after about 3pm EST and after 11am EST on weekends!

It does! It was down for a week after 3.0 came out but everything's working again!

I'm actually talking into my comm link. The mod has its own animation for when squad leaders use command chat to talk to other squad leads and the team commander

hi mate im looking at getting squad and i want it mainly for the star wars so my question is is the starwars mod paid for or free? idk how it works
Free! All you do is buy Squad on steam, go to the steam workshop, download the Galactic Contention conversion mod, and then verify your game files on Steam. Then to join you go to the server browser and join the GC server. Any questions, join the Discord and someone there may be able to help!
You make it look so good, but some of those maps have bad optimization, servers having desync, rubber banding, etc.
I want to play this so badly but I feel like it’s impossible for me to understand all the things happening and people telling me what to do😂
It is quite the learning curve, and with the influx in popularity there are plenty of other players who bought Squad just for the mod and don't know the basics of the game just yet either. The sooner you start the sooner you learn!

Will flying vehicles ever not band in this game? Ruins everything
It's at the fault of Squads netcode. Not the mods fault. Unsure if it can or will be improved
And yet they can’t seem to make a battlefront 3 🤔. I know it’s more complex than that but they are a massive company… like cmon
its not that they cant, its that we dont want it. All EA is gonna do is make another superficially gorgeous game riddled with poor mechanics and aggressive monetization
add jedi's and a random untimely execute order 66. would be awesome to have the jedi splinter away from your faction and become enermies.
These maps look way too barren, unfortunately.
Most of Squads gamemodes are very dependent on vehicles. The game relies on logistics of base building through supplies delivered by vehicles. Not all maps are as open as Tatooine and Rhenvar
Stuff like this is the reason why console can be disappointing. Can't play the total conversion of battlefront.
