Galactic Contention is one of the best Star Wars mods out there! It's a 40gb total conversion mod for the game Squad on the Steam workshop! It's a surreal Clone Wars experience that Star Wars fans dream of, and I highly recommend it!

I'm not really into making guides/overviews for content, I'll leave that for people who are more knowledgeable than I am and can add a fun flair to it. Coolagain's got some cool guides already for GC, maybe one day he'd be up for something like that in the style of his other guides with his Temuera impression. I'd leave that suggestion for him on his channel if that's something you'd like to see!

Are there any videos that cover the full content of Galactic Contention, in-dept and in a sort of "tutorial" manner? I'm unfamiliar with the way classes work in Squad. I've only played Hell Let Loose, maybe 6 matches? All as a rifleman or medic. What I'm also interested in are the way the class specific models look, too. I looove Star Wars

3060 TI is my card as well! It's great, have yet to find a game I can't play maxed out. Then again I only run 1920x1080 60 fps so that helps.
Do you know it the developers for this mod are open to suggestions? They've done an absolutely outstanding job and I wonder if other, more specific battles might also fit well into the Galactic Contention roster. Especially the battles of Umbara or Mimban
Umbara has been teased before, unsure if the map is still in the works or has been put on hold for other projects. As for Mimbam, I'm not too familiar with its role in the Clone Wars, but the map Kavado seems very similar in terms of scenery. Muddy hills filled with trenches and burnt out trees and thunderstorms. Who knows though, Im sure they've got some exciting stuff on the way!

The only thing they need to change is the MTT, and replace its model with a PAC( Platoon Assault Carrier ) then this mod would be perfect! Also the PAC could be the droid logi tank instead of the unarmed snail tank :)

50 vs 50. Only ai is crab droids or a squad of ai clone commandos called in by each teams commanders and dropped on a specified location

You prob don’t want to show your playing hand, but how the hell do you make these intros? Such third-person camera-handling! 👌
The devs are kind enough to let me use admin cam during live games, so I can fly around the map and act as a camera and the mod is naturally very cinematic!
Very awesome. Even so, not everyone can easily work a camera, no matter how cool or engaging the subject.
Also want to know: when you are cameraman, are you also playing the match?

@@HumanStyleBeing sometimes I'll start the match participating, then switch to camera mode, but never do the other way around. Want to avoid being accused of meta gaming or having an advantage over other players!
Random comment but it feels like when I use the heavy AT class, it takes ages for me to equip my rocket launcher and ages to aim down the sites. Is there something Bullwon is doing here or do I just need more practice with timing and stuff?
Unsure if it's a bug or not, but sometimes the LAT kits take longer to aim and sometimes doesnt respond to me trying to fire for a few seconds after equipping. It happens less for me with HAT kits which is what I try to use more often
