    Ive been using my own custom balance plate for about 10 yeras and it really helps my old hips, knees and ankles. Makes getting back up alot easier aswell

    2X is the best modern bauer graphic. These pads look pretty awesome though. I wish bauer would go to +2 on thigh rise.

      I agree on the 2X Pro graphic. I have 0 issues with the +1 Bauer offers as it equates to a + 2 from CCM, Vaughn, and 1.5 of Warrior. But I understand how not having that as an option is frustrating.

      I think the 1X pads looked nice as well

    Is there a significant difference in flex and weight between these and the Lefevre 12.1?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have never weighted the 12.1 or really looked at them for a long time so I am not comfortable giving an answer there sorry.

    I agree on the graphics on the pad. There’s tons of people that like the knee rolls. Be nice if they did that to the pads

    My pants are getting hung up on the knee block. Any thoughts on solving that?

      Unfortunately that sounds like your pants are too big length wise

    Ideas for making your own balance plate?

      I'm not sure what you are saying?

    What’s the benefits and disadvantages of a super soft boot? Thanks

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's just personal preference. A softer boot means the pad will move more naturally with your leg, a stiffer boot can give a better seal but also helps keep the pad higher on the skate for more thigh rise seal.

    The pads black color for the face of the pad looked lighter then some of the material used on the inside and back of the pad! Are the pads as dark as the other material or regular genpro or the color of a puck? Was there alot of lighting that made the black look lighter?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It a slightly different "darkness" compared to the other materials. It is like how white jenrpo can be eggshell in colour but the nylon is pure white

    • @kylebrandon4486
      @kylebrandon4486 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So then would you say it's the shine of the material that makes it lighter? I'm asking due to wanting to make it harder for a player to track the puck and I can't go see a set in person!

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jenpro or coretech will be slightly brighter than nylon will be because of the "shine"

    Hey, I have Hyperlite pads they are a little big for me but they still don't fully seal no matter what, what do you recommend?

  • @brayden3614
    @brayden3614 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How do you attach your pads to carry? just got a set of 3s pads and there so tuff to carry

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always use the boot strap loop and throw a Brian's carry strap through it. Halo Hockey makes one now as well if you are looking for it. Cheapest way to do it is with skate lace though.

    Great job, super informative… I agree with you about the calf wrap abrasion zone on the 2x it was a really good feature so that sucks to see it go. Otherwise I got a lot out of this!

    If you had to choose between these, the axis or lefbreve 20.1 what one do you choose?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These, then True 12.2. I like the balance plate too much on these.

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wrong, I would put Passau last.

    Do gear demo’s cost money?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the store. This was just borrowed from a store so didn't cost anything.

    It’s to bad companies didn’t put there max effort into making equipment that last. But by the equipment wearing they get more sales by them breaking down.
