As a 45 year old goalie: Ive been beafing up my knee stack 3-4" and adding a calf pillow for about 10 years and it helps my hips, knees, ancles soooo much, as well its faster to get up because im not so low to the ice. Ive noticed that pushoff sliding is alot easier aswell Ive only used Vaughns and the new quickslide material is what ive dreamed of since i was a teenager. Ive been looking for a cheep pair of bauers to try out the sliding, but ive heard they are really good.

I love my 2X and the Hyperlite, but the materials for both are cheap especially when compared to True. Although, cheap = light, so its horses for courses
Still love the 2x set the best. I ve tried Hypers and Mach and for whatever reason the 2x is still king to me. If you ever decide to sell that set let me know as I am full right as well. Cheers bud
I’m in need of a new set of pads. I’m currently in CCM, previous pair were Bauer’s. I find with the CCM, the model I have is too soft… as well as I feel like I’m tipping back when I go into butterfly. My main issue with the Bauer’s though was that I felt slow. Like I didn’t have the same speed that I do with my CCM (hence they are speedskin). But it is a very noticeable difference. I’m stuck… anyone have pros/cons or suggestions about either?
hello do you have the same size 2x vs hyperlite ? and if I'm small in ultrasonic do you think medium in hyperlite is good or I don't need to size up ( boot angle )

I use to hate baure but I got a chance to try the 3x set and fell in love and I'm ordering a costom set

Your thigh rise is 1" too short per leg. Bauer dropped the ball again with minimal size customization.
He went from a Large to a Medium, to lose the extra height on purpose. He said feels more agile in the slightly shorter pad.
