Having used both the Hyperlites and a set of Ultrasonics I am 100% with you on being in-between on the pads. I really love the Bauer stuff which is definitely not what I would normally go for, but I think I would have to make a bit of a hybrid between the two pads in some way.
I think with pro custom, you can get there. The toughest sort of choice is stiffening up Vapor or softening up Supreme. As I mentioned in the video, I love the Performance of Supreme and am reluctant to mess with them! haha
@@thegoalnet5915 That's the thing I am looking at/struggling with for the future. It seems that most pros go with changing up the Supreme pad from what I can tell
Agree with you on the +1 issue. I have short legs but like a taller pad, 33+1.5 warriors are about an inch too short in the thigh rise for me, even going lundy loop but my knee is perfectly on the block. The other issue I have, they don't even sell the professor strap separately so you can only get it on the pros, not the 3x.
I’m glad they improved the Professor Strap. I have Ultrasonic and was thinking about buying Kenesky because the Ultrasonic strap is already wearing down after 12 games
funny you say that. I had the hyperlites and the professor strap completely pulled out within 3 weeks. they warrantied them and I got ultrasonics instead. same thing. 2 months in same strap pulled out. got keneskys so we will see how they work. I love how Bauer's play but probably going Vaughn next set for durability.
@@derekwood3997 the professor strap broke or the attachment point in the pad? I am 6'2" about 210, so not a small guy. I go just professor strap basically have no issues. That's a lot of weight / force on a small area in my case too. How often are you on the ice?
How do they slide? I’m thinking about going Bauer this time around instead of True.

Tons of companies make an Aftermarket prof strap, easy retrofit
Agree with boot angle making pad not close 5 hole and in between L/XL, any strapping advice to make pad sit or slide higher to cover 5 hole better?
Crank the pro strap tight to hold the pad higher on your leg, allows for more toe slack on the toe bridge, and Consider the CRS / Lundy loop

If I wanted to order tgn spec pro laces for these pads, what would be the best attachment option?
How's the durability of the product, any signs of wearing down on the material?
No, I have not seen any premature wear on this product to date. As shown in the video, the soft thigh rise has maintained it's integrity
