Love this idea of cropping that piece....it looks much better cropped. The gift your sister had made for you is so Gorgeous and I know you will cherish it forever....ive always wanted to do this but never turns out right. Spring's Renewal is gorgeous! On the Afremov, my husband doesn't like the couple either and wants me to try to edit them out. I totally can see how lovely your cropped version would be! What beautifully touching gifts your sister gave you. Wishing you a glorious day xx

totally agree with continuing, I enjoy watching the videos and thank you for keeping me company. not many people around me knit or cross stitch but having videos in the background is encouraging to continue with full coverage HAED's :)

I too have taken inspiration from Amy in cropping designs to only complete the bits you love. How about 'stitching on the dark side' for your sal? I missed quite some of your videos but oh I'm so happy I (re)found you again here on Flosstube. Love to watch you and your pretty projects. I think the cropp looks amazing, life's is just too short to stitch on things you don't want to stitch on 😜😉. And I do tentstitch but can't do diagonals. 🤪🤣 totally relate!

Hi Elisa! I’m so glad you started the fineryofnaturesal! So fun. I think the Leonid Afremov piece would be perfect cropped the way you showed it. Go for it! I think stitchingonthedarkside is a good hashtag. I have a couple of pieces I’m planning to do on chalkboard fabric that would fit. 😊
Great progress on your beautiful projects. I totally understand what your mean with that blue flower piece. I have an owl piece that is the same. I stitch on it, and there is no progress to see. And I know I can go to the owl. But I have to stitch someday al the grey, dark brown and green leaves. I also have two dark fabric pieces. I love both, but they come not a lot out of the projectbag. Also the piece that you want to crop looks perfect cropped. Only you have no dimensions and looking far away anymore. But its all about the beautiful colours, than is cropping the way to go I think. Its a beautiful piece. The flower jewellry is so beautiful, specially with that meaning behind it. Very special😍.

I think cutting the Afremov piece would be really nice. If I were stitching a mandala I would probably start in the middle.
I would crop the project you showed if you are happy with the smaller image. I have 2 full coverage HAEDs going and am going to crop both. I just want to finish them before 10 years! I think the image you showed on your phone would look great, and if I ever stitch that one I think I would crop it too. Your sister's gifts were so beautiful and thoughtful.
Your dark hashtag ideas made me laugh! I think those were great suggestions, and I would definitely join if I could decide on which project to stitch. The Afremov crop looked really good! I think the mirrored aspect of the red colors made me pass by this pattern, but the image on your phone had a lovely composition to it, so now I might have to add it to my list. And it's always nice to meet a fellow 5 year old disguised as an adult! 😆

I say if your project isn't bringing you joy, than don't stitch it. There is not enough time for us to stitch everything we want as it is.
Your new Sal is lovely. I picked the other one, so I am happy to see you are going to be starting that one too🤭. The only hashtage I could think of was " welcome to the dark side" 🤷♀️. I don't have any projects on dark fabric, nor do I have any charts, but it looks like a fun SAL I may just find something so I can join!😁.

I am so glad to find another stitcher who loves all the full coverage! I always think I am in a very very small group of people who do the full coverage projects. Bring on the BAP's 🤣🥰. I love watching your progress. Junk Journaling isn't something I have thought about in a long time but those were so much fun. I like doing stitch with me videos but I totally get what you mean by them being difficult. What a beautiful gift! We should do something like an "why did I choose you" sal lol. Although I like the stitch the darkness you came up with too.

I've got one too that I'm thinking of cropping (Quiet Town) so it will fit in a 11 x 14 frame to match the other travel posters I've done. I'm all in on the black/dark fabric SAL. I just started one today on a dark green. Nothing comes immediately to mind for the name, but I'll noodle on it for a while. Have a good one!

Your videos consistently get me so excited about something that I have to pause right in the middle to comment! LOL I love the idea of a "step into the darkness" or similar SAL! Embrace the Dark? Shining Darkly? I'm terrible at thinking of cool names... I definitely have projects that I want to have finished so badly, but they are not fun to stitch at all. I wish I had younger eyes! I have two small to medium projects in mind already. :-)
Absolutely crop the Afremov piece if you want to - I like both sizes and the smaller piece doesn't lose anything at all by being cropped, I don't think.
Glad you are continuing your videos-as you know I share your passion for color and full coverage, and I have loved getting to know you through your videos.
