Ryan! I enjoyed your unboxing immensely! Happy birthday to you, indeed! Such lovely packaging. And your descriptions! You are a joy and a comfort. Thank you for sharing this with us! Until next time. xo
Hi Ryan - this was so much fun to watch. Such a lovely advent box with so many beautiful things. I am glad you found 21. Loved those bright little cocoons. Just adorable. Thanks so much for sharing. Take Care!
@@RyRyMcGuy No, I wish...someday perhaps. After I win the lottery ;-), I'll be traveling the world first class, visiting all the needlework related dream spots and going to all the amazing retreats
Awww thanks, Sandra! I have no experience filming an unboxing, nor do I watch them regularly, so I was totally flying by the seat if my pants. I’m glad I was able to do the experience justice. ☺️
Lol lol. No. Your notification did not wake me at all I’m an early bird and nothing is better than waking up to one of your favorite floss tubes. So your a May baby also. My birthday was the 21st. We are very loving compassionate creative people. Linda from Rhode Island
I'm actually an April baby. I had intentions of opening it then but time slipped away and suddenly it's May and here we are! Sorry for the confusion. Very happy belated birthday, though!
Good morning my friend. It’s 6 in the morning here I just woke up reached for my phone and saw a notice for your flosstube. What fun to wake up and see all the goodies in that box. So many cute trinkets. My favorite were the tins. And the tiny spools of thread and of course who is not addicted to scissors. All of it was so adorable. I think you need to get busy making some more thimble purses to put all those mini gifts in. What lovely give always for your retreats. Thank you for sharing it with us. Be blessed my friend. Linda from Rhode Island
Good morning Linda from Rhode Island! I hope the notification didn't wake you up at 6am. I'm so sorry! That was my mistake as it should have gone live at 6pm. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. And I agree...the tins really are the sweetest. Hope you enjoy your long weekend ahead!
Aw thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I know that unboxing videos can be a thing but wasn't so sure in the stitchy community. And yes, I do have a fondness for countdown calendars! 😊
Hi Ryan! I really enjoyed watching the Sajou unboxing with you today! Lots of little “ goodies”. I like the little pin tins. I use mine for pills in my purse. Have a great week ahead and thanks for sharing! 🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
It's starts with Sajou unboxing, and before long, you're a hand model for floss ads. That was lots of fun, so many pretty things. Hope you enjoy your Sajou goodies. Take care and happy stitching.
Could you just imagine?! That would be quite the career change. Guess I should start investing in some manicures now. Hehe. Thanks for toe vote of confidence.
Hi Ryan - I looked up coquecigrue in the French Larousse - an imaginary "fantastique" creature made up of the COQUE - rooster, CIG - cigogne or stork and GRUE - crane - all birds. Loved the unboxing. Thanks for showing us. That thimble!!! and the 2 sets of thread winders - really lovely. Of course, everything was lovely from the tortoise shell scissors to the "real" ones. Enjoy.
Thank you for the research, Nicole! I can see how the three birds make up the name, but the "fantastique" creature looks more like the front part of a dog with a pig's snout and a shrimp's body for the back half. So weird. I'll share a picture on my Instagram. And thank you for making the connection between the first and last pairs of scissors. I usually notice little things like that but this one slipped by me. 😊
I would have been happy with the little sacks and assorted packages! Your willpower is astounding. I had two advent calendars and I am not certain they last beyond Dec 3 ….. 😂
hahaha I absolutely hear you. But I find it easier when it's out of sight, then it's out of mind. If it's an edible advent, though, it's definitely game over. :)
I love miniatures, so it was a pleasure to watch you open all those tiny envelopes. I liked many of them, but oh, that saturated blue... I do not know how aristocratic it looks in reality, but on my screen it was a delight. Enjoy your presents and put them to good use! ps. I would have never opened that center-push box, it's the first time I see this trick. :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed the treats! The blue is indeed very intense. For comparison, the closest would be if DMC made a colour between 797 and 798 and then boosted the saturation. And the center-push box is indeed a novelty. It has such a satisfying click when it opens and closes that it would be perfect as a fidget toy. 😁
Ry Ry, that was fun. I have similar Sajou scissors and thought the little white tag on the scissors would start to look a little worn. I wanted to keep the Sajou identity with the scissors, so I took the little scissor charm (mine is white ivory) and made a scissor fob with it. It really looks good hanging from my scissors. Also, greetings from Texas.
That's a great point about the tag and an excellent idea with the scissor fob. I shall definitely do the same and think of your recommendation whenever I use them. 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing! Does Sajou have a North American location to get your favorite needles? If no, what's the best way for someone who's first language is English can place an order? And Happy Birthday!
Thanks, Cindy! Sajou’s website is fully available to all in english, french, and german. They have letter-mail rates for flatter items like needles so it keeps shipping costs down. If you’re looking for something in the US, check out www.frenchneedle.com or www.brooklynhaberdashery.com/ . I can’t personally recommend or endorse these two sites because I have no experience, but I know they sell Sajou. Last, many smaller sellers on Etsy sell Sajou so you can poke around and check out offerings and compare prices. Good luck!
What a fantastic way to spend some time!! Thank you for saving that treasure and sharing it with us!! 😘😘😘😘
That was a little bit of fun, no? I'm so glad you enjoyed it. 😊

Happy Birthday Ryan! Wonderful unwrapping episode. I love watching people unwrap things.. Lovely set of little presents. Enjoy them!

Yeah that box had some really cute things. :)
Such fun eye candy! Thanks for sharing and my favorite are the little kid floss bobbins - so sweet 💜

Thanks, Janiece! And yeah, 21 was a sneaky little fella. Cheers!
That was so much fun watching you open the special petite gifts.
Thanks, Mary! In a way, I’m glad I waited instead of opening it at Christmas. Then the little treasures get the full attention they deserve. ☺️
All those tiny packages are just adorable! Your reactions and descriptions of the contents was very enjoyable…thank you for sharing! 😊

My pleasure, Meline! I'm so glad you enjoyed them. 😊
Great gifts.
I think so too!
That was really fun watching you open all the packages! Those scissors look wonderful and that little treat I sent you will fit nicely! Enjoy!
Little treat? ooooooo! And yeah, I can't wait to put those scissors into rotation. 🥰
This was fun! Thanks for sharing your Advent calendar with us! Loving all of those fun tins! Especially the on you press the lid down to open it! 😮
My pleasure! And that tin with the pop lid really is a hit. The click and snap is so addictive. 😁
What a lovely package of gifts! Sajou products are always so beautiful and it’s wonderful to see the array of them here. Thanks for sharing!
Aren’t they, though! Have you ever been to their shop? It’s rather special.

Oh I loved this, Ryan, especially the scissors and the snap container.
Thanks, Marylee! And yes, the snap on that container is incredibly assertive and satisfying. 😁
Happy birthday you have great will power. I could not have waited to see all the lovely things.
I’m an out-of-site/out-of-mind kinda person. So it was easy to ignore when hidden away. But yeah, I don’t usually wait that long. 😅
Happy Birthday Ryan 😊 this is the best advent box I’ve seen ….or maybe it’s your unboxing style ! Loved it ❤
