I may have left this comment for a previous video but I love Fanny Bramley’s fabric! It really adds something your beautiful stitching. Really enjoyed hearing all about your Stitch North experience. I’d love to go some year! Sounds like the best time. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful stitching. xx

What a lovely video, I loved reliving Stitch North in your recap! 💕 Love Peter’s gift to you and Betsy’s squirrel with Stanley cushion is simply exquisite. So much goodness packed into an hour!!! Looking forward to your new episode already xx M
Thank you, Marie! It was so lovely to finally meet you in person. I have a feeling if we lived closer to each other, we'd have a riot of a time together quite often. Alas, we shall count on our virtual crafterzooms. 🥰
So much eye candy! I really love your Fanny Bramley. I was seconds away from pausing and ordering her! I think you said you were using the called for... It's beautiful! The Stitch North retreat sounds like so much fun. The sweet heart you made for Ellen is gorgeous and now I want to make one just like yours! Thanks for sharing your joy and happy stitching~ 🪡🧵🪡
And thank you for watching, Katherine! Much appreciated. Regarding Fanny Bramley, I'm using the called-for soie d'alger and I'm very happy with the coverage. I'm also pleased with how the heart turned out on the Red Cedar linen. It's such a pretty colour. Happy stitching to you, too!
🥰🥰🥰 Ryan, you’re so wonderful and kind not to mention talented. Thank you for including me. xo That house is gorgeous! Also love your finish of Michelle’s Peacock. Such a great sentiment. Already looking forward to next year. Loved the pic of Stanley with Betsy’s Squirrel. As always, everything is so so so good. Happy Belated! 🎉
Ness! It really was a treat meeting you. I love your optimistic enthusiasm. We made such a great team with those mylar balloons. 😉 And that Stanley cracks me up. I tried to take a video of him with the squirrel and he literally didn't move a muscle. So crazy. haha!
I attended the 2nd retreat so missed you, but I did meet Kaylee and Michelle Bendy Stitchy. They are wonderful and entertaining as you are. Thank you for your flosstubes.

Stitch north was my 1st retreat and a great time! The only regret is not being able to meet you and Dee! I was at weekend 2. Thank you for sharing! Can't wait till the next one!
I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed yourself! Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all be together under one roof at the same time? It would be one heck of a large and noisy event, I’d imagine. Perhaps at a future event. And until then, we shall have to rely on our virtual connections.

Thank you, and welcome to the club! :) And that's a great way of describing the thimble purse. I have two more frames so I can't wait to make those up, too.
Thank you for sharing another cracking video. Your retreat sounded amazing. The squirrel with the cat cushion really made me chuckle. Until last year I had no idea about flosstubers. I'm thrilled to follow you now :) I absolutely would love to hear about your use of the pins. I got 3 this retreat and would plan to compare notes of use.

Glad you had a great time at stitch north I would love to go but the travel costs held me back. Love your All sorts pattern I'm obsessed with the candy. I'm going to see if I can find it to order on the internet.
I understand what you mean about travel costs, June. It isn't cheap to go anywhere these days. I'm very fortunate that the venue is about an hour's drive away from me. And yes, you should definitely pick up that chart. You can buy it directly from Tracy through her website inkcircles.com/ . Click on "Cross Stitch" and you'll find it under the name Assorted Sorts, in either paper or PDF versions. Happy stitching!
Hi Kim! Yes, "briefly" appears to be the theme this year. We really need a week-long getaway so we can all take the time to hang out more with everyone. So many lovely people and such a short time!!!!
They sure DO know how to throw a party! It looks like everyone had a blast at weekend 2. And as much as I love the idea of us all being together under the same roof at the same time, I'd probably explode from excitement. 😅
Ryan, what a fun video!! It was great seeing all your Stitch North haul! I, too, had a great time there and it was great finally meeting you in person. Are you going next year? I’ve already signed up for the second weekend. I hope our paths cross there!! I’m so glad that you’re putting the floss ring to good use. I absolutely love my counting pin and have it beside me while I’m stitching. Thank you so much!! Looking forward to your next flosstube!
Michael! It was great meeting you, too. Yay for counting pins and floss rings! We didn't hang out nearly as much as we should have, so maybe we can make up for that in the virtual stitchy world. Unfortunately, it sounds like we're attending next year during different weekends. That's too bad. 😢 Please check out Stitch Across the Pond and we can have fun at one of their monthly online events. I'll send you more info if you don't already have it.
Thanks so much, Cathy! I really enjoyed the "reunion" aspect of the retreat as well. I'm already registered for next year. Until then, happy stitching and see you around the TH-cams!
Loved your Stitch North retreat recap! I was at weekend 2 this year for my first retreat ever and could not have loved it more. I’ve already signed up for next year and can’t wait!
Thank you, Amy! And I'm so glad to hear you had a great experience. If you didn't come knowing anyone, I'll bet you left having made some wonderful connections.
I have yet to make it to a retreat so thank you for the information. One day....love your projects and all the presents. especially the birthday ones. Happy Belated Birthday! 🎂Also, now I am craving a chocolate chip cookie...I'd better get baking. ✨
So nice to see you again at StitchNorth! As you said, it's such a great event. I'd never done a retreat before last year either, and I was blown away by how amazing it felt to be among so many other stitchers. One small correction though: I made the green pouch (it wasn't part of your smalls exchange). Thanks again for the counting pin. I've been wanting one forever. I'd love to see a video about how you use them. :)
Heather! I’m so sorry about the confusion! I received another pouch and clearly mixed them up when I had repacked everything. I’ll update the notes to reflect that. So sorry again, and thank you!!!
I've just discovered your channel and I liked what I saw here. I do agree with your choice in project size, it is a reasonable one. I like a lot the September sampler, so if you decide to start it in that month maybe you could chose to do a sal. Loved the Squirrel holding the stitched cat!!
Welcome to my channel! I'm always happy to meet new viewers. And yes, that September sampler is very much a charmer. I'm looking forward to stitching it and I think a SAL is an excellent idea. Until then, thanks for watching and happy stitching!
First time watching you, loved it. I have to back and your older ones. Question, how do you use count pins? I see people who show them, how do use them?
Welcome aboard, Donna! Thanks for finding me. 😊 Regarding the use of counting pins, it seems many would like to know. So for my next flosstube video, I'm filming a "how-to" segment on the 10 ways I use them. I hope to have it posted next week.
I didn't make it to SN this year but I would have loved to say hello to you again. Wow, I don't think you could have selected a more perfect small for yourself. It seems just your style. I had not heard of The Stitch Patterns before so I went to the Etsy shop. OMG they were having an amazing sale that was ending in four hours. I bought 5 little charts. Woop! You always interest me with the little things you notice on charts that would blow right by me. A semi colon? I would not have given it a second's thought. I have to try to be more like you for that. Amanda from Alba Stitchers just stitched up All Sorts and showed it on her latest floss tube. Krista West from Avlea Folk Embroidery does a great drawn hem stitch on You Tube. I've use it before.
Alison! Sorry we missed you. And I'm happy to hear you found some cute charts in the Etsy shop. Can't beat a good deal! Thanks for the tip about Alba Stitchers and All Sorts, and I've already watched Krista's video on your excellent recommendation. I hope it's as easy as she makes it look! 😉
Thanks for the video, Ryan. It was a lot of fun being your table mate and your little thimble purse is such a treasure for the lucky recipient. Also, please start all your future videos with a bite of cookie. 🍪 ♥ 🪡
Kelli! It was such a genuine treat being your table neighbour! Thanks for the best stories and I hope there are many more to come! Not sure about the cookie thing, though. 😅
It sounds like Stitch North was fantastic. Which floss tube video recap of Stitch North would you recommend one watch to get a complete picture of the fun? (You are currently the only floss tuber I follow.) I also absolutely loved the Bendy Stitches design you did. I would love to stitch it as I always say that people probably make assumptions about the topics of conversation when they see a group of people stitching together and they would be absolutely shocked by the actual discussions.
I love the Bendy Stitchy design, too! Can't wait for it to be released into the world so I can see more people enjoy stitching it. And regarding Stitch North recap videos, Caroline is the organizer and she talked about it on her channels here. Look for @OfftheGridNeedlearts and @evertote here on TH-cam. For stitchers' personal experiences, check out @backcountrystitcher here and her video-diary style video. Beyond that, you can do a search on "Stitch North 2023" and you'll see many others to check out. Have fun!

Thank you! I can't believe the next Stitch North Retreat is only a few months away. I guess I better film a few more videos before then.😅
LOVE the All Sorts pattern....how great is that!! Also your thimble purse is fabulous.
Thanks so much, Hannah! And yes, I think it'll be very hard to resist stitching the All Sorts chart. 😅
I’m watching as I’m trying to fall asleep. 😮😂❤
That cookie looks DELICIOUS
I’m glad I was able to help out with your trip to dreamland!
Great video Ryan. It was great seeing you again at StitchNorth, two years running. Hope to see you next year!!
Thanks so much, Cathy! I really enjoyed the "reunion" aspect of the retreat as well. I'm already registered for next year. Until then, happy stitching and see you around the TH-cams!
I finished that Ink Circles design recently and just got it back from the framer. I found it a delightful stitch - very relaxing to work on.
I'll bet it looks amazing! I think I'll end up framing mine, too. And we do love a relaxing stitch. :)
Have fun with My stitching Box! 😊
Oh, you know I absolutely will! Can't wait to start! 🥰
I have yet to make it to a retreat so thank you for the information. One day....love your projects and all the presents. especially the birthday ones. Happy Belated Birthday! 🎂Also, now I am craving a chocolate chip cookie...I'd better get baking. ✨
Thank you so much for the kind words and the birthday wishes! I hope you can make it to a retreat one day. Happy stitching and happy baking!
The squirrel's name has to be Alexander, for Betsy's Hamilton.
That’s an excellent idea! Alexander is a great name.
@@RyRyMcGuy Hi Ryan. Yes the hem stitch really is as easy as she makes it look. xoxo
Have fun!
Hi! First time viewer here. Do you know where I can find the chart of the loon?
Welcome, Chris! The design "Twonies" is by @dees20stitches and was an exclusive for the Stitch North 2023 retreat. If you have Instagram, pop on over to the links in their bio and sign up for the newsletter...that's the best way to get notified when it'll be released. Thanks!
Keep ripping out your band sampler - you will enjoy having the finished piece and using it. I look forward to seeing it.
Thanks for the encouragement, Nicole! I'm actually keen on finishing so I can try out the walnut crystals to give it a more weathered look. 😊
Great video. Did you get to meet Ali from Australia? When I found out she was going I made sure to tell her to say hello to you from me. Weren’t we going to do a pin swap?🤔🤔❤
I, too, love a good semi colon. LOL.. oh, and eating the cookie, was not a mistake.. thanks for your video
haha thanks, Jackie! I was afraid I'd end up with crumbs all over my beard and chocolate smeared on my teeth. And yay for punctuation!
Ive stitched a few things from the cookbook! The Spring is Hare is soo cute! #happinessishomemadesal
#happinessishomemade23sal
You witnessed me seeing that chart for the first time and I may have to stitch it, too! Have you cooked anything from the book? It reminds me a bit of a ladies auxiliary cookbook from the 70’s but I’m very tempted by some!
@RyRy McGuy you are right! But havent cooked anything yet.. but want to!
Fun seeing all the "Goodies!" I would Love to see how to use counting pins if you have the time.
Thanks🪡
Thank you! And from the comments, it looks like I'm going to have to make a segment on counting pins. That would be my pleasure!
