Good video. The user manual explains the process for adjusting your throttle cable, which should be loosened at the throttle body before installation of the new tube. I would recommend reading through the process before attempting this mod. It will go much smoother if you do, and the final installation will be safer and more reliable. Peace.
I can try. How I did it in the video is basically step by step. Nothing to adjust before you take it off. When you split the throttle tube housing, the throttle tube spins freely, so cables come off effortlessly
I tried this mod but the metal housing wouldn’t close. I assumed that the wider R6 diameter was too wide for the housing. 2021 MT and part no. as in reply below.
Not sure. I adjusted mine exactly like I did in the video and didn't have an issue. I'm pretty sure they all have the same length cable. On the throttle body, once I backed out the left side all the way, there was plenty of slack
@@RotorRidesNCyeah no good for me bud. Put the original back on. With slack all the way loosened. And had so much play in the throttle. Put the r6 tube on. And it’s to tight 😭
@stumpedtree4204 that's weird. Only other thing I could think of is that it may he the wrong tube. After running the adjuster on the cable all the way in, and bending the tabs on the TB, I had just enough to have ever so slightly a bit of slack
I have an mt-07 2024 with that exact r6 tube from Amazon. I tried everything but i can't seem to make the cable slack enough and still sticking. Was there something I missed. Was it super easy for you? I really want the r6 throttle tube and i don't want to return it.
@@wart0gwafar317 I did. Those metal tabs are pretty pliable. I just bent them up, back the adjuster nuts all the way out, and then bent the tabs back down
I'll try. It's hard to get seat time on this when you also have a MT10 But I got a bunch of new mods on the bike already, and want to do another review now that I've got the break in done
Will do a test/ride review soon

Just did this mod, by the way. Only sharing what I wish I would have known before hand.
So looks like MT03 and Mt07 have the same long twist. They probably have the same tube installed from factory.
Can you please just explain steo by step in next video how you adjusted the cable and lossen up before removing original tube. Thx

Same 2023, about to cut plastic to fit metal housing
@@AnthonySegarra-wt9wqexact same with my 2022. Did you get it fixed?
@@marcstampanoni5468 Have u guys made it?
Hey bro. I’m having a hard time doing this. Done the derestrictor plate. Now doing the throttle. Can’t get it too where there’s enough slack

@@RotorRidesNC yeah I’m not too sure bud. Yamaha sold be the tube. I then contacted them and they said the r6 tube doesn’t fit 2023 mt07?

I am having the same issue trying to do mine as well, did you end up solving the problem?
How does it feel to use at slower speeds?
@alexgroezinger762 it's a little twitchy at first, but once you get used to it, I don't notice it
@ good thank. Wanted see one would work for my Daytona 675 cause my wrist is bad

@wart0gwafar317 you have adjustment at the throttle housing, then down at the throttle body. You have to lossen both all the way
@@RotorRidesNC do I need to bend up the metal so I can screw the bottom screw as I high as possible

@@RotorRidesNC yeaaa it worked thx
Throttle cable adjuster on left side - put both nuts underneath rather than one on top one below. Only option
