I staid in that Hotel many years ago when it was a nice Hotel to stay in it was booked by Coach operator Coliseum from West End Southampton during the illuminations
So sad to see this building in this state. I worked there as a manager for 5 years and it was an extremely busy, vibrant hotel, hosting weddings and private parties for years. Very popular with Scottish coach parties. Cabaret every night. The original owner Dale Hackett sold it to a SriLankan family that owned nursing homes. They ran it into the ground, cutting staff and standards and not spending any money on the place. The coaches pulled out. The customers stopped returning. Disaster. This is what happens when you buy hotels with no experience.
Watching this days after it essentially burned down. Definitely sad, but the fact it was left derelict for so long was ultra bad - total eyesore and target for vandalism and other things. To my knowledge there’s been 3 fires started here - 2 of which in the past month. It’s gonna be demolished soon as it’s super unstable

Yeah it was a rushed video due to the fact how loud some people with us were and it was also in the middle of Blackpool and by the time we got into the building it was pretty late and I wanted to go to bed at that point ha was a shattering day but cheers for the view and comment! 🖐
I worked behind the bar in 2010 it used to be absaloutly packed and so good such a shame to see the video now 😕 😪

That was fresh blood on the stainless steel unit in the kitchen had sniffer dogs in there heard there was a body in the cellar

sadly it is no longer there as you prob know by now it burned to the ground on Monday and is in the process of being demolished 😢

I stayed at this hotel back in 2016 and it was shite.
It's just had a massive upgrade. Open plan, lots of light.
