Most of the ex-Pakistani cricketers & most of the youtubers want their team to perform badly so that they can get lots of views on their youtube channels; and the current players are only interested in retaining their own place in the team; sad reality is that nobody in Pakistan cares about their own country.

The problem with Pakistan cricket is best described by Syed Muzammil Shah. It is the losers mindset. Pakistan team has no imagination, strategy, planning and execution. Players go out on the ground with tawakkul on alla hoping their imaginary sky daddy will make them victorious because they are Muslims and doing the work of Islam. Obviously they lose most of the times.

So here is the plan from what I understood,
1. Stop finding long term star players - if you do have stomach for failures, theirs as well yours
2. Find a professional coach/manager and have him there for 3-5 years at least - be ready to tolerate him even if you think you are smarter than him
3. Try to create a pool of 25 players who can sub in for each other
4. Invest in info and system
5. Stop political interferences.

I know there are nuances and many reasons behind a structure to fail but administration is the biggest one.
Our chairman PCB is superman, he is Interior minister, CEO of multiple channels, a senator, and so many other posts. ❤ 🎉 Ghiyas loves him for getting hell out of his bosses opponents and they’re opponents of Ghiyas as well. 🎉

Pakistan cricket, unfortunately, is at a stage where it seems unlikely that it'll come back from the slump it's in. There may be one or two flutters of brilliance, but it's likely going to be a downward slump for the foreseeable future.

I am just hoping that they don't waste aamir jamal. The guy had showed great skills on aus tour and has a champion mindset. Pct only have few players with champion mindset like naseem, aamir and to some extent shaan. They can't afford to lost such talented guys.

They sidelined their best bowler abass as the hype of young fast bowlers take over. But now these young bowlers are struggling in these flat pitches and with fitness/injurie issues.
So again they are waiting for any talented young bowler come out on the surface to bail them out for the next 2 years.

Good discussion. As i see Pak cricket is facing the same issue that its economy is. Discover the largest oil field and we will be in just no time worlds top 10 economy. Maybe it was Miandad's fault for hitting six in the last over/ball. I could smell stink when the media kept saying Imran is the avatar sent by God and it was cool that Inzy or wasim "fell" on his gaze and got picked up. System building and the need for a system has been systematically thrown out of Pakistani culture. Think about it.. MRF foundation in Chennai had Dennis Lillee as the first head bowling coach and now its Glenn McGrath! Did Pakistan ever build anything like that. The ausis and england have strong domestic cricket and results show that.
