let me write it down if you are too dumb to understand. Army chief is and has been a major stakeholder in our country for the last 60+ years no politician has enough political power to make big decisions so they hide behind the army chief cowardly instead of taking the tuff decisions themselves which gives him the space and authority to be basically everywhere.

Just the story around mid day meal scheme as Miftah gives it as an example in many podcasts - it was started around 1960s 1st by Tamil Nadu under K Kamaraj as CM, fun fact Kamaraj himself never went to school/ school dropout and he thought maybe if school provides breakfast attendance will not go down. GoI saw the results and started it 1995. Currently, it's a 70-30 scheme with around $2B/yearly. (Meager and a lot of issues, but covers basic need)

I totally stand with Miftah sb’s stance on ‘Vouchers for Education.’.And Shehzad, regarding your mention of faisal bari’s point of non existence of private schools in some regions for successful implementation of this scheme, I’d like to add that this Voucher scheme basically plays a role in capacity building of the private sector by providing an avenue to the private sector to invest and receive financial gains in the Education Sector.This scheme can greatly increase the number of schools in the ex-Fata belt in Kp,and similar other rural areas in other provinces.True, education should not been seen with a profit lens, but if it is achieving the goal for the state there is nothing much wrong with getting some financial gains in doing it as well. Also, in those far flung areas the model of state investment in education can be made more dependent on the private sector, with state taking more the role of regulation rather than the implementation.

They don’t have trained indigenous manpower to exploit it or do the correct assessment of their reserves. 2 . They don’t have technical manpower to make plans for their extraction and production. 3. Only when buying and selling, there is no tax to hold the property. It is a big issue because in Pakistan property prices generally increase more than inflation so people generally tie up their money in land.

After that they hike the prices to 331. Even dolar price was brent crude 83 to 85 dollar per barrel. In april 2022 Per barrel was 112 dollar Dollar was 184 Per barrel= 159 litters 112×184=20608 Per litter was = 20608÷ 159 Which is 129 rs and price was 150 rs. With no lavy tax only sales tax 3 to 4% and other expenses. In September 2023 Per barrel was 84 dollar Dollar was 296 296×84= 24864÷ 159 156 rs....now add cost , tax etc 175 rs for refining, inland freight charges ,petroleum lavy and taxes The petrol stood at 270 to 280 for a ling time. Now it costs 126 without refinery and taxes. But stil it is double 250 . 125 rs for all these

Many of the schools provide buses to bring students from villages in radius’s of 20-25 kilometres

I totally stand with Miftah sb’s stance on ‘Vouchers for Education.’.And Shehzad, regarding your mention of faisal bari’s point of non existence of private schools in some regions for successful implementation of this scheme, I’d like to add that this Voucher scheme basically plays a role in capacity building of the private sector by providing an avenue to the private sector to invest and receive financial gains in the Education Sector.This scheme can greatly increase the number of schools in the ex-Fata belt in Kp,and similar other rural areas in other provinces.True, education should not been seen with a profit lens, but if it is achieving the goal for the state there is nothing much wrong with getting some financial gains in doing it as well. Also, in those far flung areas the model of state investment in education can be made more dependent on the private sector, with state taking more the role of regulation rather than the implementation.

Let Pakistan discover oil , gas or any other natural resource like gold , copper or other minerals, it will be of no use to them because:
1 . They don’t have trained indigenous manpower to exploit it or do the correct assessment of their reserves.
2 . They don’t have technical manpower to make plans for their extraction and production.
3. Established foreign Oil and Mining companies don’t negotiate with Pakistan for their partnership because of internal security issues, law and order and religious intolerance.
4. Pakistani military is a tough negotiator with such companies and worst implementing agency of agreements. China , the best friend ha runaway from them after loosing so many lives .
5 . Even if the companies agree to come they will impose so many of inhuman conditions ( like IPPs ) Pakistan will end up paying huge fines in international tribunal and court .

Only when buying and selling, there is no tax to hold the property. It is a big issue because in Pakistan property prices generally increase more than inflation so people generally tie up their money in land.

296×84= 24864÷ 159
156 rs....now add cost , tax etc
175 rs for refining, inland freight charges ,petroleum lavy and taxes
The petrol stood at 270 to 280 for a ling time.
Now it costs 126 without refinery and taxes. But stil it is double 250 . 125 rs for all these
