Thanks so much for bringing up the issue of the PU leather. Never thought of that, since our office gets new chairs every 6-8 months. Mesh does seem like the best choice for the budget.

Ergonomic office chairs are damn good when it comes to functionality, but I was hesitating to buy one because when the mesh fabric torn it might ended up having a long straight line of torn fabric plus the reviews of the customers that they received the chair with damages from the frame to fabrics of the chair. Great review by the way, and I finally found a decent review about that chair that we usually see on online stores. Keep it up!
I've had my Ethan Chair for more than a year now, I really liked it when I first bought it over a year ago, however, i'm a heavier person who works in front of the computer all day, and after more than a year of using it I found more than a few things that the Ethan chair badly lacked that I sorely needed and some of these are : 1. the gas lift is not made for heavier people and probably has a light weight capacity, mine leaked after a few months, and the lowest it goes is so low that it's really bad for my back when working. But it can hold my wife's weight all day. 2. the back rest is too laid back and doesn't really support my back when I want to sit up straight and type, the back rest always wants you to sit way back and lounge, which is nice when watching a movie but bad when I want to focus in on my work. 3. the plastic legs/feet broke, it broke while I was laying back as the chair wanted me to, I've replaced it since with another plastic leg/feet from an older office chair I had in storage. 4. the seat has no thigh support and is relatively flat which I was already used to with all the cheap office chairs I had used in the past, however, together with the busted gas lift, the chair is now so low that I'm almost squatting down, and this creates a lot of pressure on my butt and lower back, I have only realized how big a problem this was when I tried my brother's Sihoo M57 ergo chair which felt like heaven on my thighs and butt. 5. When I'm using the foot rest, the balance is kinda off, and the foot rest really wants to go down which is tiring having to actively balance my weight. 6. The whole chair's balance is kinda off, the seat wants to lean forwards which causes my legs to lean forward, but the back rest wants to lean back, and it always results in putting me in a sliding position which is tiring. After more than a year of using the Ethan chair, I'd say it's an okay chair if that's all you can buy with your budget, I had a small budget when I bought mine, but after a year of use my back, thighs, and butt are really starting to feel everything, especially after being able to try my brother's Sihoo m57 and feeling the night and day difference of a good ergo chair, I'm still waiting for my new chair which is the Ergo Elite from Furnitura, hoping it's a good buy.
You will gain more views if you guys start reviewing ergo chair like Sihoo Chairs. Also this is a good path of content since most of us work in home homes right now.
Great review! I also love mesh chairs cause I tend to sweat a lot while gaming during an extended period of time even in an air-conditioned room. I don't understand the hype with "gaming" chairs. Those leather cover looks uncomfortable and will probably degrade fast due to sweat. Ergonomic + Mesh Chairs = Still the best for me!

Pay more for a 3d armrest adjustment. Also, your arms should be on the same level as the desk. It's shouldn't be hanging down from the table. Your eye should be level with the top of your monitor.
This chair, though not perfect as you mentioned, is definitely better than the PHP3,000 office chair that I bought last year, at least in terms of aesthetics. I kinda wish I knew of this as I was looking for and deciding on a chair.
I got this chair last September 2021, a month after, the lumbar support had already given out. It wasn't just annoying it already started to protrude and poke my back. I had to squeeze a pillow in between the space (mesh and lumbar support) because it was really uncomfortable. Even if the recline function is locked, it reclines a few degrees once you lay your back on it. The chair also does not sit sturdily on the mechanism, it wobbles a lot. I couldn't just throw it out because 4000 is still a lot of money. I have been suffering for 7 months now. I got to this video because I am mulling over buying a better chair (Sihoo M57) and I'm looking for reviews - which led me here from your Sihoo M57 review..... Honest review of this chair though..... I shouldn't have skimped out and gotten a better chair immediately, I felt like I wasted 4000 (+500 lumbar support, +1500 coccyx support, +350 arm rest cushions) which could have gone to a better chair right at the beginning..........
Shipping to mindanao is 1,200. :D this is why I avoid purchasing chairs online due to location. in my province all the stores only sell stupid gaming chairs ranging from 8k - 20k - All of the same quality sweaty sticky leather 😂 I would really buy this one if it's available near or at a cheaper shipping cost.

Bought this chair. All i can say is, maganda siya sa start but tbh, sayang money. Ang bilis nag flatten ng foam. May butas na nung dumating. Plus over time, pababa ng pababa yung sandalan. Sana i spent extra 3-4k to get more quality chair, di ko na sana need bumili ulit after a year or two. 😔
Comprehensive review! Well done. I'm contemplating between either this chair or adding some extra bucks to get one of the HBADA's (Breathable Reclining or Breathable Back Rest Office) on Lazada. However, they don't have one or other (foot rest, nylon feet, reclining, lumbar support) while this Ethan chair has all the interesting functionalities. Would you say that these functionalities (foot rest, lumbar support & articulating head rest) overpower the lack of quality that this chair has? Thanks! :)
Honestly the foot rest on the Ethan is something I wouldn't use because the lumbar support isn't very good. It really digs into your back :p the footrest is only an option if you find a way to remedy the "claw" I call it. :) also among all things, the most important thing to check is to make sure this chairs arm rests reaches your table. As these are not adjustable, you might end up having to do my strange work around with the books :p

Hi Casey, thanks for following us! Yes, Dino and I were batchmates together althoughout law school :) Yikes, unfortunately I don't think I took measurements of the chair myself. What I do know is that the arm support is around 24 to 27 inches from the ground (if you max out the height of the chair which you should do coz I think even the maximum height is a little short. :)
That's why I always look at the arm rest, especially when you're a gamer. Nakaka ngalay kaya mag laro hahahaha kung di rin mataas yung height ng arm rest or even close sa height ng table di mo rin ma mamaximize yung use ng chair pang pahinga lang talaga. Any other ergo chair that you would suggest for around 6k budget na okay yung arm rest and medyo mataas yung weight limit? hehe
Not yet sure, still testing out different chairs before we conclude which is the best budget chair. :) Pero maghanap ka ng gaming chair na hindi fake leather. It will last longer.

I have this for four months now. And so far, so good okay naman. Much better keysa monobloc chair ko. Lagi nananakit ang likod ko doon pero dito nabawasan na. You forgot to mention na adjustable lumber support para maging komportable. Cons ko? Mababa siya di abot ang arm rest ko sa table kahit nasa pinakataas na height. Tinanggalan ko na nga ng gulong para bumaba. Medyo wobbly siya. At after four months, naguumpisa lumubog ang gas lift niya pero naaangat ulit. Kinokontak ko Qoncept kung may nabibiling gas cylinder sila pero wala pa sagot. Still sulit parin. Makapal naman ang plastic. Mga ganito kasi mas mahal sa iba. PS. Ofix has a mesh chair na height adjustable ang armrest for around 4k not including the delivery fee. You should check that out.

Can you review Bathala Gaming Chair. They seem to have decent kind of chairs they make and also offers a fabric type instead of leather in their other models.
I got this chair and my main complaint after a month of using it is that the plastic holding the lumber support and the foot rest broke. I had to remove the foot rest completely and add a pillow where the lumbar support used to be. The seat cushion could also use a bit more foam.

For me, my minimum requirement for a chair are adjustable armrests that can level with the height of your desk and a headrest.

The problem we had with this chair is hindi siya stable pag sasandal. I mean di ka makakapili it's either all the way or di ka sasandal.
white looks neat, but long run might be smudge dirty. black is common default. I think gray looks nicer

Not yet sure, still testing out different chairs before we conclude which is the best budget chair. :) Pero maghanap ka ng gaming chair na hindi fake leather. It will last longer.

I have this for four months now. And so far, so good okay naman. Much better keysa monobloc chair ko. Lagi nananakit ang likod ko doon pero dito nabawasan na. You forgot to mention na adjustable lumber support para maging komportable.
Cons ko? Mababa siya di abot ang arm rest ko sa table kahit nasa pinakataas na height. Tinanggalan ko na nga ng gulong para bumaba. Medyo wobbly siya. At after four months, naguumpisa lumubog ang gas lift niya pero naaangat ulit. Kinokontak ko Qoncept kung may nabibiling gas cylinder sila pero wala pa sagot.
Still sulit parin. Makapal naman ang plastic. Mga ganito kasi mas mahal sa iba.
PS. Ofix has a mesh chair na height adjustable ang armrest for around 4k not including the delivery fee. You should check that out.

Can you review Bathala Gaming Chair. They seem to have decent kind of chairs they make and also offers a fabric type instead of leather in their other models.
I got this chair and my main complaint after a month of using it is that the plastic holding the lumber support and the foot rest broke. I had to remove the foot rest completely and add a pillow where the lumbar support used to be. The seat cushion could also use a bit more foam.

Maganda sana if mesh din yung upuan kaso sa mga nakita ko sa online, medyo mahal sila. Yun nga lang malambot siguro yun at smooth umutot.

It increases the height of the chair but very minimally. I would say it's an increse of a max of 2 inches. :)
