I have a “Kentucky Derby” pink suit myself & it turns heads in the best way as one of my more unique pieces…….. I delight in your videos so much! Thank you Hugo for the inspo 🔥
When you are having a suit made it’s a great idea to get two pairs of trousers. However, you need to rotate them and having both pair of trousers and the jacket cleaned at the same time.
I wish that I'd had the "get two pairs of trousers" advice for my cashmere suit that i bought a few years back. I opted instead to just grab some extra fabric "just in case". While the fabric was off the same role, and my tailor was able to almost seamlessly integrate it right down to matching the windowpane, the problem was that the repaired bit is significantly less worn snd faded looking. This is especially bad when the bolder looking colours of the yhe repaired section are right below the crotch and draw attention there.
Dear Hugo, Enchanté! I believe the pink suit complements your personality perfectly, and it looks fantastic with your hair and skin tone, just like the grey one does! I haven't quite mustered the courage to wear a pink suit myself, but after watching your video, I might consider it in the future. That said, I've been really into green suits lately. I've even started wearing green suits to work, and I often pair my green jacket with cream-colored trousers, which, in my opinion, makes for the perfect casual summer look.
Good evening Hugo; I hope that this message finds both you and Sonya well; well may I just say your choice of fabric and colours never fails to amaze me; congratulations each one is more beautiful than the next, kind regards Ryan.
You are absolutely correct about pink. I have a pale pink shirt I and everyone else loves. If your single a sharp suit with just a touch of color in your shirt draws the ladies like a moth to a flame. Like ZZtop sang "Every girls crazy for the sharp dressed man" . And complete the look with shoes shined and fit well to round out the suit.
Bravo Hugo! The items look great at a cursory scan. I can't wait to watch the whole video this weekend. I'm waiting with bated breath for the sky blue linen sports coat that I ordered for summer. If all goes well it should be cut very similar to the green single brest in this video.
Those are beautiful summer suit collections! The last silk suit is quite an extreme experiment but you can still pull it off. It kind of remind me of Thai traditional suit call Raj Pattern (ราชปะแตน), which they would wear a white linen or silk blazer (similar to Jodhpuri suit) with traditional solid or patterned silk pants called Chong Kben (โจงกระเบน), which have quite a similar silhouette to knickerbocker pants in the west. It was spectacular tho 😮
I watch your videos, Kirby Allison, and Gentleman's Gazette, and the sartorial arts are still a mystery to me. Too many years in cargo shorts and Hawaiian shirts melted the style centers in my brain, I guess. I still enjoy watching, though.
I always have two pairs of trousers made with each suit. Early in my tailoring experience it was an Italian tailor who suggested it. He was also the one to suggest three shirts for each suit.
Forgive me if you've already spoken on it, but I'd love to see a video specifically about color and selecting a certain color based on one's skin tone and hair color. I love the hopsack pink/salmon suit but don't think it'd work for my particular complexion and hair color (red/strawberry blonde). I work with Kirby Allison and love what you and Sonya do!
It might be time for you to head down to Australia's fashion capital and get into the Melbourne tailoring scene. With our weird weather, it lends itself to a fresh style. This week has been sub-zero, in a couple of months it will be high 30s.
Good evening sir. I rarely wear French cuffs indeed. Always with my Tuxedos and more rarely with my suits. It's just a matter of taste. All my best, Hugo
I don't think that green is a 'strong' colour. Unusual yes, but very soft, actually, and sophisticated. Great spring/ Summer colour. The pink, yes. Strong and adventurous. 🙂
Hugo, Loving your channel and enthusiasm! May I ask for a recommendation on an iron so I can do my own shirts and pants? I think some time ago you mentioned a German model... Thank you!
Thanks! Those loafers are from CNES in Singapore. Here: www.cnes.co/collections/parisian-gentleman/products/florentine-wholecut-loafers All my best, Hugo
Gorgeous suits; wear them in good health! I kept waiting for a linen or linen-blend suit and saw there were none. Do you not prefer linen, or do you simply have enough suits in the material from previous adventures? I have two suits and two sport jackets in the wool/silk/linen family that I wear when it is warm or hot.
Dear friend, I love linen but I'm well equipped already. I also have several suits with blends (wool/silk/linen or even coton/linen/silk) that are super nice in summer (around 200 gr). All my best! Hugo
Absolutely beautiful Green suit. It reminds me of some sort of sage green. Whats surprising me is the Lapels being a little bit different when you compare the left one to the right one. Is this intentional? Cheers from Germany
Summer for me here in the states ..the land where crocs and pajama's are common during the day...lol I go to my trusty standards My navy blue chalk stripe boating blazer.....My Linen...My madras blazer and my seersucker with Bow tie...I stick with the classics.......the h*ll with modernisms.
Good evening mr jacomet In my opinion color is King for summer wardrob and more men must try color like light pink or a beautiful yellow ,Linen suit . Every videos are so awsome Freindly Sofian
Why the hell not? Strong color suits are so beautiful and this stereotype, that it is feminine, is nonsense. When it is summer, those suits are the most appropriate, because color matches nice weather, where classic dark color suits don´t look so good, so it is really easy guidline. If the weather is sunny, go for pastel suits or if it is too much for most people, go at least for pastel sport coasts with different trousers, which is not that difficult to pull off. In general, Thumbs up Hugo! Really great idea, that people could be more colorful during sunny days.
Great suits! I loved the first and second one! It’s just my untrained eyes or in the last 2 ones the trouser don’t fit you as well as the previous ones? I really did not like much the last 2 and something tells me it is the fitting. Now I know I never gonna order an 100% silk suit! Thanks for all the info Hugo!
Myself I have paul Frederick linen line and cotton linen line of Brook Tarvener and French Crown and Proper Cloth in my wardrobe on brands and recently added Sébastien Cruz contour
@SARTORIALTALKS brook Tarvener is a London tailor est 1812 all natural materials my morning wear is as well through them I enjoy your discussions on well Dressed Gentleman and ladies all my brands are using natural materials.
After decades of dressing, I finally realized that I need to buy 2 pairs of trousers when I find something I like. Especially suits
That's a wise decision my friend! Cheers, Hugo
Taking the monochromatic theme to the next level with the matching color of the microphone
I love this series. I rewatch them often.
Thank you so much. Very encouraging! Cheers, Hugo

Hugo's "impression" of Gianni telling him about the cashmere gave me a nice chuckle, it made me think of a dealer going "Got that good stuff"
Absolutely love the green cashmere. You are so right, always purchase two pairs of trousers.
Thank you my friend! Best, Hugo
When you are having a suit made it’s a great idea to get two pairs of trousers. However, you need to rotate them and having both pair of trousers and the jacket cleaned at the same time.
Wise words Walter. All my best, Hugo
Everything is change, let's ride the wave of change elegantly.
Wise words my friend! Hugo
Hugo I love that pink suit, I think my next I may get one. If not at least a pink jacket.
Go for it my friend! It's fun and refreshing! Cheers, Hugo

Two pairs of trousers is almost mandatory if you go custom. It's the guarantee your outfit will last! Cheers, Hugo
Four suit, one better than the other... Incantevoli! Cheers from Italy, Gabriele
Grazie Gabriele! Cheers, Hugo

I love this pistachio green suit! I find fully saturated colours a bit too much for summer wear. Pastel colours are quite pleasant overall.

The suits look fabulous. I like the choice of cloth and color.
Bravo Hugo! The items look great at a cursory scan. I can't wait to watch the whole video this weekend.

Wow, light blue is a fantastic colour for summer! Cheers, Hugo
These suits are works of art.Beautiful.
Many thanks Wayne! Hugo
A very tasteful and well chosen combination of suits and ties that match perfectly!
Thank you sir! Hugo
I will admit...you carry off the Green and pink suits well! I with I had the pootzis to give them a try! A VOTRE SANTE!
That mint or sage green suit you're wearing is incredible.
Oh my GOD! The suits are amazing! Congratulations from Portugal.
Thank you José Carlos! We love Portugal! Cheers, Hugo

Great episode Hugo, lovely suites! Just got my mtm green suit as well - almost the same colour as the one you're wearing! Thanks!!
The green squad! Cheers Nick! Hugo

@@SARTORIALTALKS Thank you Hugo. It's always a delight when you and your lovely wife release a new video.
Beautiful suits, particularly the one you are wearing for this video, in what in the uk we would call pistachio. So elegant!
Thank you so much sir. Pistachio indeed! Best, Hugo

time to start prepping the fall and winter video :). im thinking of some tweed for this fall
Very wise to use monochrome option. I am reading your book Italian Gentlemen, so interesting…..

Another outstanding video Hugo. Very informative and interesting. Bravo 👌👔🔥
Merci Richard! Amicalement, Hugo
Mr. Hugo, excellent video; however I have never seen you wear French cuff shirts with your suits. Any reason why?
Thanks
Good evening sir. I rarely wear French cuffs indeed. Always with my Tuxedos and more rarely with my suits. It's just a matter of taste. All my best, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKSI bet that most of your cuffs are French in one way or another ☺️

The pink, yes. Strong and adventurous. 🙂
I agree, even if the pink is not so difficult to pull off after all! All my best, Hugo
How often does the color of the suit match the color of the microphone? Impressive!
😂🤣it's was not on purpose dear Seth!! Cheers, Hugo
The only Hugo that I respect.
The green is a fantastic choice
Oh gosh the green suit, the peak of the lapel, the angle of the lapel and gorge, the combination is simply astonishing.
Dear Hugo, what's your preferences for hem opening ? It seems a bit slim especially on the first suit. The Enzo Custom suit fabric is just gorgeous 😍
It depends on the suit Enzo. Sometimes I like it narrow, sometimes wider. But never too wide. Cheers, Hugo
Beautiful suits , and nice green prince of wales tie, may I ask you where you found it ?
Good continuation !
Bonjour Gauthier. Cette cravate est de chez Liverano à Florence. Amicalement, Hugo

The only snag: not everyone can pull off/ has your sense of style...
That is just a fact of life😂😂😂
Maybe, but a lot of people would be able to pull these off but they don't dare! All my best, Hugo
Great taste brother. Praise the Lord. M
Thank you my friend. God bless, Hugo
Happy Birthday Hugo. I am nearly 60 myself.
wonderful colours!
Thank you sir! Hugo
Just bought a Celeghin 3 piece suit second hans.
25€ shipping included!
Is hopsack the same as cashmere when it comes to wear rate? I've heard it's not ideal for trousers.
Dear Ben, it's not as fragile as cashmere for trousers, but certainly not as resistant as a good old Super120s. Cheers, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKSthanks for the reply. Found your channel after a recent sartorial awakening and loving the learning process.
