When I think underrated NBA player this is first guy I think of every time. He had a very reliable 15-17 footer, good rebounder and defender. 4 rings as a starting PF.
Thank you Horace for helping the Bulls win those first three rings. That block of Kevin Johnson's shot at the end of Game 6 of the 93 Finals was huge. I'm glad Horace was able to be an All Star in 1994. Well deserved.
Grant was the third best player on those 6 championship teams....by a large margin. He simply doesn't get enough credit or love for his contribution to that first 3peat. And often when those teams are mentioned guys like Toni, Harper, Rodman and even Kerr seem to get more overall credit than Grant. Ignoring he scored more than Toni, and was a better overall defender than Rodman (he was on the downside of his career at that point.) Kinda sad how forgotten Horace has become over the years.
He was a big part of the Bull's success when he played for them. A very well rounded player who was willing to embrace different role-playing positions on teams with huge stars. When this is the quality of the third or fourth best player on an opposing team, you're in trouble.
I think he's the first stretch big in the NBA. 50 per cent of his attempts are midrange. I believe if he played in 2000s, he will shoot threes like KAT or Dirk.
He had many many games in the playoffs and finals where he was a shadow. And in the clutch, forget about it. He’s not underrated. He’s properly rated. A decent role player. But that’s about it.
Horace will always be my favourite player of all time love to see others giving him the attention he deserves

I loved Grant, but Rodman was even better.

Horace was very very good. But not underrated. Great defense. But Rodman was even better.
