Very cool that they let you film the "service"
Yes thank you to mycar Chatswood
100% Gave me more confidence in them.
Thank you for another informative video and giving us a bit of a heads up on what to expect for our first service. Picked up my Seal Premium on Wednesday and I have a silly smile constantly on my face, since! I've been getting nothing but praise from colleagues and friends (and a few hints of envy). I am astonished by the way it drives and behaves (the update was already done on the car). Coming from a fat SUV and as a first time EV owner, that instant torque is both exciting and scary. Makes you wonder how much faster the Performance could be! Personally, I get much more than I need from the Premium in SPORT mode.
On the down side, the audio system feels a bit weak but I have to try all possible audio sources in order to make an informed decision.
My experience as a first time EV owner has started in the best possible way and i hope it remains this way for the future.
Congrats on the new Seal! 🥳 I agree Sport mode in the Premium is also sufficient for most of my daily needs 😉 I also feel the audio system could be better despite the Dynaudio label (Danish premium brand). However after playing with the balance, it sounds a bit better 🎼🎧
Hey Tom, thank you so much for sharing your experience with BYD and your Seal purchase. Your honest pros and cons approach has swayed me to order a Seal Performance myself, and as an unexpected bonus, being on the Northern Beaches I've learnt of great locations for charging and servicing too! Apprecaite your efforts 😃
Pleasure!
Mycar's parent company is Continental tyres. You can also get your BYD vehicle serviced at an Eagers location listed on the BYD website.
I take my Atto 3 to Mycar in SA. It's 10 minutes away, and my Seal performance when I take delivery in 2 to 3 weeks' time will go there too for servicing.
Yes I think there are at least 16 “OEM” BYD servicing locations nationwide outside of the mycar network
Ah thanks, I’ll update my reply 😃
More thorough than boeing
Lol
Not funny nor creative.
🤣. funny

😊
Picking up mine tomorrow, getting very excited
Nice!

@@fatdoi003 it is seal premium. Such a georgous car
@@CodeCoquer similar to Tom one apart from interior.... Enjoy!
I live on the NSW VIC border, problem for those of us with BYD cars is the servicing, right now you have two choices both are 300k’s away, BYD if they want to continue to increase sales in regional areas they need to ensure that more service centres are opened within easier access preferably within 100k range.
Hmmm hopefully mycar allow more of their locations to become BYD approved service centres as they train more of their techs to become EV compliant
IIRC BYD have big plans to expand their network in OZ.
I wish my Genesis was this easy to book in. Good system, very clear
Hopefully other OEMs will use mycar for servicing also
Thanks a lot! I might purchase next year! I'll be sure to follow you!
🙏🤩
Very informative, I enjoyed that , thanks

Hi mate great review as always, I have just done my 3 month service as well, here in Thailand there was an update for the OS, you should hopefully get the new update soon out there in Aus.

Mycar is the old “Kmart tyre and auto” rebranded … after it was sold by Wesfarmers and acquired by the Continental group
I like the idea of somebody eyeballing the car inside the first year to make all is as it should be. No manufacturer makes perfect vehicles, and defective parts will usually fail early.
Yeah I kinda agree, to me it’s a bit like a preventative health checkup at the Dr’s …
Thanks for sharing the video. I find it interesting that BYD is not yet connected like Tesla. Everything is over the air
Hence the question to Janz whether issues can be diagnosed remotely in future 😅
my 2023 model 3 is just over 1 year old now and all I have had was one server that cost me 100 bucks that was a wheel balanace and rotation. never paid so little in my life for car services in a year
Certainly an advantage of owning a Tesla given regular servicing is not required for warranty. I guess that’s part of the reason why the Seal is cheaper than the Model 3 to take that into account
That's the same thing in Denmark as far as I know, but I do have some concerns about having a lot of cars driving around without having their brakes checked, their undercarriage looked over etc. Is there some way for the owner to know if everything is ok, or is it more up to chance? 👍
Just wanted to ask, since I am looking to get answers from different places in the world, as the way the cars are being driven and used are very different from country to country. 👍
@GodeGamleJacob hi the tesla car manual u get with your car gives u a guide on when to get things checked
@@pkerry12 Thanks. 😃 That's pretty smart actually. 👍
with Tesla its different though your not expected to go to service unless there is something wrong or you want a tyre rotation or check up. Log book services don't exist with Tesla which is a first for me, but i am surpriced that BYD has a log book service.
AFAIK Tesla is unique in that regard. Most if not all other EVs require regular servicing for warranty but happy to be corrected on this
Log book is like taking a step back into the past. Clearly when Tesla has shown us the way forward into the future.
My BYD here in New Zealand doesn't have a physical logbook. It's all on the car history digitally
Some things need to be eyeballed, such as the CV joint rubber boots, uneven tyre wear and wheel alignmemt.
@@SirGregoryFamilyTH-cam YES at 5 years maybe!
Hey Mate, nice video and thanks for sharing your first service experience,
Just curious to know did they offer any other perks while you were waiting for the car to be serviced i.e. Coffee, Sitting, TV Lounge, pick up/drop off etc.
Thanks.
Only what you saw in the video … a couch and free wifi. No coffee etc
Thanks for showing this, checking all that stuff is fine for a FIRST SERVICE on a new car. I have my doubts about the so called servicing on electric cars. I believe this is legacy stuff and really all they should have to be doing is checking the mechanical things like brakes and suspension, wheel alignment etc, even most of this stuff nowdays is so good that unless you hit a kerb real hard nothing should need to be done and a wheel align only needed when new tyres are fitted. Things like brake pads should last well over 100k if not they are crap. If the battery is liquid cooled all that is needed is to LOOK at the bottle for gods sake, surely an owner can do that? With the tech, software should be able to detect over heating of the battery pack, or any of the components required for it to be working, also any electronic sensor etc should be detectable if it malfunctions. The tech for that is all there and has been for some time. If the so called authorised dealer has the ability to plug in a device (what is wrong with a laptop?) and see what each cell is doing in the battery pack, whether each cell voltage is within parameters, that all cells are balanced as they should be etc etc. But the trend now is to ensure that the owner knows nothing about the car that way the dealers can earn a living, but with the electric engined cars (yes engine or call it a motor if you like) there will be less and less needs doing at all so their jobs are going to have to change. I believe your mechanic's view on OTA software updates is laughable, so how long has Tesla been doing this? It is more like most of the other manufacturers are not ready for it and will want to charge a subscription fee to use it, which they are not doing yet until they get a decent foothold in the market, then all the free becomes subscription, ultimately the entire car will be subscription. Technology is driving many jobs away but at the same time is creating new and different ones. There is a huge opening for what used to be mechanical workshops changing oil and filters etc to turn themselves to repairing battery packs. Re-conditioning the electric motors, to keep these things going, at least until the manufacturers make them totally unserviceable. Which is next I suppose. So it seems that Tesla still has the market wrapped up. More expensive but wow what a difference there is with all this other stuff, the others still have a long way to go.
Thanks for the comment and yes I largely agree with a lot of your sentiments. A lot of the info can be accessed via a compatible OBD device and app on the phone so yes the future of servicing is likely in doubt … given we don’t regularly bring our other electrical devices for regular service!
I’ll post my 12 month service down the track so stay tuned … 🙏
I was under the impression that BYD does all these updates over the air. I agree that BYD using Android for car control and updates is somewhat open to hacking. So this was not a service but a check everything.
Yeah I don’t mind this hybrid system for security reasons. It’s like going to the doctor for preventative health reasons … a regular checkup for the car is not a bad thing
Wheel alignment check was free, that's interesting, the dedicated service centre wanted $88 for that. Unrelated question, what's the setting to get the car to turn on camera when turning right?
Hmm … not sure if I ever switched it on, just comes on by itself 🤔 will have to review the settings
@@LudicrousFeed ok is under panorama under steering wheel lock in adas (I think I turned it off)
I turned mine of as it stays on a little to long for me as I want to see the map
I feel like this is where BYD loses out. Tesla service intervals are spot on how EVs should be. The point of EVs is less moving parts hence less servicing required. BYD seems to be on par costs and interval wise to a ICE vehicle. Actually more than a Camry or Corolla hybrid which has more moving parts.
I’m in 2 minds about this. On the one hand I agree with you in that there are less moving parts in the EV powertrain which require less maintenance … however there are always other parts that are common to all vehicles regardless of energy source eg suspension, wheels, tyres which probably should be checked out occasionally 🤷♂️
Cost of maintenance is very important for car owners as it adds up to the overall cost of the car.
Indeed
Test drove the new model 3. Great drivers car though there was a rattle coming from the rear passenger area, so I wonder what it would be like after a couple of years. If you don't mind me asking what is your opinion regarding build quality BYD VS TESLA ? Thanks
Build quality of the BYD Seal is very good. The Model 3 has improved a lot since the 2024 “Highland” update. Here’s my comparison video: 2024 Tesla Model 3 RWD Highland Update vs BYD Seal Premium Australia
th-cam.com/video/YAaKVAST3w4/w-d-xo.html
@@LudicrousFeed Thank you
How come the australian version seem to show 700km on the range but the european ones max 520/570 with the same battery? Surely the temperature difference cant be that much? Thanks!
I normally ignore the projected range in EVs … the most important figure is the efficiency in either kWh/100km or Wh/km. Of course it also depends on which variant you have
As a long time Tesla owner it must be like going back in time Tom 😊 I was having flashbacks the minute you drove in….ill have to wait for OTA and nil servicing. I couldn’t go back
😁Yes it was a nostalgic experience … however I don’t recall any of the OEM workshops being as clean and tidy as this one 👍

Hi mate, thanks for all the Seal videos. I'm seriously contemplating ordering one, now that it is no longer a Whippy Van after the software update. My question to you is, what wall box you use at home to charge the vehicle. You promised an update on a wall box manufacturer a while ago, but it never happened, or did I miss it?
I fulfilled my promise in this video 😁: Home EV Charging Setup Update | Tesla BYD Wallbox Pulsar Max Feb 2024
th-cam.com/video/peuSN0s7jgg/w-d-xo.html
It's interesting you didn't need any updates. I understand you did an OTA update recently so that must have updated all of the modules, even though the technician didn't think it was fully OTA yet.
Yes I think the 2401 OTA update I recently had took care of most of the required updates
OTA updates are rolled out in batches so it is possible that your car doesn’t have the most recent version. In the shop they can update your car so you don’t have to wait for your turn.
@@qilu2004 2401 is the latest update (Mar 2024) and is the version that I had before attending the service - hence why Janz said I had the latest version. You are correct in saying that you can sometimes ask for a manual update at the service centre prior to OTA release. Some of the early Seal owners experienced this when they got their service prior to the greater release of 2401 via OTA

I am constantly surprised at the amount of EV hate there is in the online community. So much vitriol and misinformation coming from predominately men who have never owned an EV. I think it's a mixture of fear of change, fear of missing out and just plain ignorance. I have stopped trying to talk sense to any of them. To a foolish post I now simply reply 'EV's are great". This sends them into a tailspin
It’s easy to throw shade online where you can hide behind an alias. I find IRL most people I speak to who are initially misinformed will soften their tone eventually with a measured but robust discussion
Online very few will listen to reasoned argument. Time changes all.@@LudicrousFeed
At 4:30 you made a turn and the camera was on, how? Can’t replicate it!

Do you worry that they will take away the side loading feature during a service?
I’m not side loading anything so I’m personally not worried …
I saw your battery a little scratch? Is it bcos the ground clearance too low? 12 cm only
The 12cm clearance only relates to the plastic aero dampers located in front of the front wheels. The clearance of the battery is closer to 15cm otherwise as shown in my earlier video: Australia Premium BYD Seal Ownership Update One Week Later | Regrets?
th-cam.com/video/7YHbncpF5Qc/w-d-xo.html
By the way: what is the charging power in kW on your car? How long for 10% to 80% ?
Did you have problems with stability in the past? And/Or very low power levels at early stages? Did that change with a software update? Which version then? Thanks in advance! Cheers for your regular contributions!
Here’s a DC charging test I did earlier this year: Premium Variant BYD Seal DC Fast Charging Speed Test Sydney Australia

The reported max charging speed is 150kW for the Seal Premium
My BYD Seal is looking for a service even though it states a service is not due for over 270 days. Today is Saturday so all garages are closed. States I should bring to the garage immediately. Not sure what to do as my job involves travelling each day.
Is there an error message or reason given as to why a service is required? What happens when you turn the car off and on again?
@@LudicrousFeed no error or reason given. When I turn the car and on again the same message appears.
I was spoilt by the benchmark of Teslas requiring ‘no servicing’ until I came to accept I had to treat my ATTO3 as an ICE only with an electric motor. Just completed my 40k km ‘major service’.
How did it go?
@@LudicrousFeed I must say the car felt good/better after the service. Likely due to tightening of bolts etc in the suspension. My frustration is we don’t know the exact work done. Brake fluid was flushed and changed. And we’re always told there’s been a software update (not the OTA type). I watched enviously at the detailed breakdown list of services you received. 😄
Surely we’re all entitled to a detailed invoice at each service
How much did it cost ?

Great review Tom , do you think the seal is as well made as the Tesla 3 and will be a long term keeper , cheers
I welcome viewers to make their own judgment from all my previous vlogs … but I’ve been happy with the build, fit and finish thus far
Seems to me there is so much inconvenience and costs involve. I am sticking to old second hand ICE as its more easy to self service where you can.
You have to buy a vehicle that suits your needs and life stage 👍
Hi Tom! Just wondering if there’s another update for the Seals? We just brought ours in for its first 5000k kms service and the warning for speeding et cetera are much louder than before. I made sure the car had the last update before delivery and everything was quieter. It had been fine since then. But picking it up today from BYD Sutherland, the bings and bongs are insanely loud. Are you aware of another update other than the last one? Checked in the car and it tells us it’s the most up to date version. I’m thinking it’s a new version where the sounds are louder again. Even the turn indicator sounds are loud. Any help is always appreciated! Cheers

Isn't it common? When you buy a new car, whatever the brand, you always get some free check up and small services for some time or some certain KM
In New Zealand it's called a safety check not a service

You have to bring it into service after only 3 months?!
As I’ve mentioned several times already in the comments, this is a complimentary checkup provided by BYD to ensure the car is running smoothly and the customer is happy. It’s not uncommon for many car brands in Australia to offer this level of customer care 👍
Byd servicing schedule is still dodgy when you consider there would be no more than a couple of hundred moving parts way are we still having service schedules like a normal petrol car? Add to that no timing belt spark plugs and a plethora of other parts not on an electric car way is the service price comparable to a petrol vehicle. Me thinks BYD have their hand in our pockets.
I’ve lost touch with ICE servicing costs … however as I mentioned at 9:50 the price of my next service at 12m/20000km will be fixed at $189. Anyone know how much a 12m service would be for an equivalent ICE car?
I had fixed price servicing on a Toyota Corolla for $185 per 12/15000 km. It lasted for 4 years. Just sold the car. not sure if it's still at that price

Nice!
Tesla required no service in 4 years of ownership. Service super inconvenient.
Certainly one benefit of Tesla ownership
So how much you paid in total ...a 3 months old car?
Complimentary 👍
Greetings from Las Vegas. I own a Tesla model Y performance 2024. I like the look of this BYD, but I don’t like the idea of having to go in for a service. They should just push the updates over the air like Tesla. I just don’t see the draw to this car, when you can get a used model three a couple of years old for under $20,000. It looks nice, but it’s clearly inferior to a Tesla.
@@jameschalkwig787 changing a Tesla battery is extremely rare. Tesla estimates 300,000 to 500,000 miles from their current battery. We have lots of Teslas on the road here in the United States older than 10 years. I’ve looked at the prices of these BYD’s, they are not really much cheaper. A hard sell for me when we have Tesla as an alternative. But obviously, Tesla is not for everyone. also, Tesla’s require almost 0 maintenance, so it doesn’t get cheaper than zero.
I’m glad we now have more choice certainly in Australia anyway to suit different needs. Both cars have their pros and cons which I went through in my comparison video: 2024 Tesla Model 3 RWD Highland Update vs BYD Seal Premium Australia
th-cam.com/video/YAaKVAST3w4/w-d-xo.html
The service here in New Zealand pays for the 6yr bumper to bumper warranty 8yr battery warranty.
I wouldn’t be calling Mycar the reference point in feeling good that someone is checking the vehicle every 3 months…..most ppl there are used to changing tires and fixing battery issues on old Pulsars…
For everyone else, let me clarify. The service schedule is: first baby check at 3 months then followed by an annual scheduled service every 12 months, NOT every 3 months. Furthermore only select mycar branches are BYD approved locations as that is where they have trained EV technicians
Tom, do you think the quality of the car is as good as your Tesla , cheers
Exterior Build and paint quality is as good
Interior - Seal is better
Software - Tesla is better
9:13 real thoughts… “of course not you fool! This is my job we’re talking about” Come on. This lip service is all part of the charade that you’ll need to bring in your car unnecessarily the coming years to retain your warranty.
The question has to be asked 😁
2.35 into video, remarks about issue that car control swerves into on coming traffic - then later service says all good?
If you watch it again, I mention that my recent pre-service OTA update to ver 2401 had already fixed the ADAS issues. Suggest watching this video for more details: BYD Seal OTA Software Update 2401 V1.1 Australia Walkthrough and Drive

Why need to service?
It’s a complimentary baby check to ensure the car is running smoothly and to make sure the customer is happy
OMG the service requirements are extremely frequent on your BYD in comparison to Tesla with my 2019 TM3. The first service was due at 200,000 kilometres or two years whichever came first. Second service was due at 400,000 kilometers or four years. With my wife's 2016 ioniq electric service requirements are every 15,000 kilometres or every year. This TH-cam video seems to confirm my suspicions that the legacy car manufacturers in my opinion are rip off artists with their service intervals. Regards Séamus from Dublin Ireland.
$189 fixed cost for the 12 month service is not too onerous. It ends up being ~$300pa if you average out the annual cost over 8 years of ownership
@@LudicrousFeed
Tom thank you for your answer. Unfortunately your answer was like that of a part time politician!! It was the Required frequency of the services of the legacy manufacturers over that of a manufacturer that only makes electric vehicles such as Tesla that I was referring to. For the first service on your BYD was mandated after 5500 kilometres. For the first service on the 2019 Tesla TM3 was 100,000 kilometers. It's like as if you missed the point I was making altogether, or you ignored my point.
@@MrSeamusMurray 😁First time I’ve ever been called a politician lol your initial comment said 200000km for first service … then your reply said 100000km? I didn’t realise there was even a service schedule for Tesla? I certainly haven’t brought my previous Teslas for service … barring my Model S when I first bought it second hand
Also just to clarify for everyone else, this 3 month check is comp as it is not unusual for Aus car brands to offer an early free service to ensure the car is running smoothly and also to make sure the customer is happy. That’s certainly been my experience from my previous ICE cars prior to EV/Tesla ownership. From here on, the BYD service schedule is every 12 months: full details available on their website - bydautomotive.com.au/service-and-warranty
The 5k service is a safety check. How much warranty do you get with the tesla?
@@craigk1328 four years, bumper-to-bumper and eight years drive train and traction battery. 👍
Why on earth should you need a 3 month service? Vw id ev service is every 2 years unlimited kms.
As per my earlier replies … it’s not unusual for Aus car brands to offer an early complimentary “baby check” to ensure the car is running smoothly and to make sure the customer is happy. From here on, it’s every 12 months
@@LudicrousFeed wow keep you coming into the dealership. I’m Aussie but live overseas. I’d be surprised if Tesla does anything like this. It’s just another feather in the cap for Tesla. Byd will not win with unnecessary scheduled visits to the dealer. If they are necessary then you have to wonder about what you’re buying.
@@tigertoo01 True, the good thing about Tesla is the ease with which you can book a service appointment via the app if needed 👍
It's a safety check. I was pretty happy that they want to make sure the car is nice and safe for free.
@@craigk1328 that makes no sense. After 3 months they are thinking there might be an issue with safety. Why don’t you get your car check every 3 months if they are that concerned something could go wrong in the first 3 months.
I got ripped off so bad at Mycar lol
What happened?
How are you filming this in the car Tom? Interested for myself.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 on a “pendant” mount which I’m wearing like a necklace - I think it provides a nice view of the instrument cluster screen 😁
@@LudicrousFeed thanks for info, it’s a great POV. I want to find a solution to filming on an ebike.
Why on earth does any BEV need a “service” after 3 months? That’s ridiculous.
I first took my Tesla in for a general inspection (not a scheduled “service”) at 2 years, and then again at 4 years.
And we don’t even bother with the Nissan LEAF “scheduled servicing” any more - we just get the annual rego inspection done, and that’s it.
It’s more a check up rather than a service … just to ensure the car is all good and the customer is happy
BYD has much more mechanical buttons and parts than Tesla which might potentially has a high chance for servicing.
Maybe but I’d suggest that most of the servicing that occurs for an EV would be just checks and diagnostics but we’ll see, maybe there is more to discover at my 12 month scheduled service. Stay tuned
BYD started to invest in autonomous driving seriously after Huawei intelligent driving system demonstrated its capabilities half a year ago and BYD is weak in China's standard whereas as the Tesla lies in the third tier. The best class of cars that dictates the ev world is equipped with Huawei intelligent driving system that use lidar as the standard apparatus that redefines the capability of autonomous driving. Avatr 12, IM ls7 and Aito M7 are the best examples that delivers these capability. Sadly, they are not yet available to any countries except China.
I’d be keen to experience some of this new tech one day
Yikes- service a bit expensive?
No OTA. Bit annoying.
OTA is available! BYD Seal OTA Software Update 2401 V1.1 Australia Walkthrough and Drive
th-cam.com/video/CQwmDVC7auM/w-d-xo.html
Service works out to be about $300 pa over 8 years which is about average for most EV makers at this price point ... barring Tesla of course 😁
For 6 years total Seal services will total $2500, the last service before I sold myVW and bought a Seal, was $2500, timing belt (mandatory change)and service @ 120,000kms, normal annual service was around $1000. Not so exy!!
The over air updates that’s a wank. It takes away from the servicing of the vehicle. They reliance on someone else because hey how intelligent are you? And that’s the point. Would you service your own vehicle? Would you guarantee that servicing? And this is the question? I must ask or would you rather rely on other people like a service centre who engages in a contract, for doing the work and you pay them a little bit of money where over the updates you have no trust no one to trust
I think there’s a place for both to occur. OTA updates to software optimisation, security improvements and potential diagnostics. I personally don’t mind someone with more expertise than myself to look over the car at frequent intervals.
[?] Maybe time to give BYD AU and BYD overall a backseat a bit on the channel - now that in AU they are introducing hybrids, and the V3 V4 charging issue in the Seal & Atto3 and NOTHING been done about it, and the recent issue of the female whose BYD EV went from 30% battery to 0% rather quickly and stranded her somewhere in the middle of the night
On the contrary. It’s important to mention these issues for potential buyers …
@@LudicrousFeed i agree fully with your 2nd sentence. what i meant was ~ maybe time to stop showing BYD / BYD AU love & promoting it like we all have been in the last 1 - 2 years or so
Service ?? 😂
😁
I went to test drive a BYD Seal Premium yesterday after watching your video at the Blacktown store. Apart from the mediocre service from the sales agent, what bothered me the most was their lack of knowledge regarding the service side of things. I asked about what actually gets serviced but I wasn't given a clear answer on what exactly gets serviced. Instead, the agent mentioned the importance of brake checks and servicing the radiator, even though it's an EV. My concern is that I only drive about 6-9k km a year, so spending $300 annually just to check brakes and radiators, without considering other diagnostics, seems unjustified. Service costs should be lower for EVs, and charges for replacements should be based on actual needs rather than a flat fee. It feels like EV companies are trying too hard to profit from servicing, similar to combustion vehicles, where such extensive servicing may not be necessary.
I shall keep documenting my service experience …
Did you notice Tom’s next service was $189. Not sure where the 300 figure came from.
Also, not sure where you get a ICE service for less than 189.
I didn’t notice what he said, but if you do the math it comes to $300 per annum on average over a 8 year term. Which in my books is expensive than what should be expected from an EV.
@@rossiuow you think 300 is too much? Compared to what other electric car? What do you think you should pay to service a 70,000 dollar car?
You know MyCar is just Kmart right? And it launched in 2019 and they can service an EV? I personally wouldnt go. I wouldnt trust the inexperienced service centres
As per Sensei’s comment: Wesfarmers sold Kmart Tyre & Auto to Continental group which has since rebranded their stores to mycar. Their techs have been trained in EV servicing
3 months?! I'll take a Tesla thanks.
😁It’s a comp baby check to make sure everyone’s happy
You must visit the dealer every 5000km or 3 months with your BYD? Really? I have not visited a service center with my Teslas since 2019!
Where does it say every 5000km / 3 months?
No communist Chinese EVs for me!
No Tesla?
Teslas are built by communists in China too.
uh dear, you bought a BYD.
Indeed! Seems like a lot of other people around the world have too 😁
WTF 5000 km or 3 month ? that crazy in europe nothing like this its 1 year or 20 000 km
It’s not uncommon for car brands in Australia to give a complimentary “baby check” in the early stages of ownership to ensure customer satisfaction
no free complimentary service in europe? thats interesting.
可以多了解中国市场发布的byd,因为不远的将来它们也会出现在澳大利亚市场
Good to know👍
I’ll stick with my Tesla. 12 months 15k kms and zero service or issues. Best car I have ever owned. The service might be free but the time and inconvenience costs 😊
Agreed, I’ve had minimal issues with the Teslas I’ve owned … but it’s by no means zero issues 😅 Thankfully Tesla allow mobile service in some circumstances 👍
The BYD services feel expensive and the fact that you ‘need them’ makes me questions BYD’s software.
Teslas software seems much more robust in identifying issues autonomously.
Plus the whole autopilot is so much better with Tesla than BYD’s version….
Same 38K kms on Model Y and zero service costs or lost time.
@@michaelciorciari7106 I guess that’s part of the reason why the Seal is a few thousand dollars cheaper than the equivalent Model 3 to account for this 💸
@Gazza-rv8ud Same with our Model Y … no servicing/issues at almost the 1 year mark 🙏
