Great Video . I order my Razer 16 2024 and it comes to me at 19.2 . I hope the Razer is good for me. This is my first Razer Laptop . I come from Germany .
did u order the 14th gen ? Im also in germany where s the best place to buy it from ? Mediamarkt ?
Yes I buy the 14th gen RTX 4090 by Mediamarkt . @@nadhembayouli7645
I have the same laptop and I love it. Sound quality is much better if you disable the thx in windows and turn on atmos.
Ill try it :)
Hey I've been watching your channel for quite a while and this is the first time I comment just to tell you that: keep it up the good work. Thank you.
Hey, thanks! That's awesome. Appreciate you.
Same here from Brazil. Amazing work!!!@@techbypike
Where are you Pike? I miss your uploads! Hope you're doing ok...
Just ordered mine in 32gb 4080 gtx, cant wait
I like the 16 but I'm gonna wait for the 18.
i was thinking about that too, but the 18 is not gonna be OLED, not gonna be mili-LED neither, so im giving up on that
@@Potatoaimbot it’s not confirmed yet. I guess it will be mini led, that’s what asus and msi are putting in their 18” high end models.
@@omarcortes5754 the only issue for msi titan 18 is that it doesnt come with g-sync, it’s a big reason why im not considering it
@@Potatoaimbotmsi also might have low dimming zones because i have heard it bleeds light quite alot compared to asus strix 18
The 18 won't have a oled
way to listen to your audience. great videos, keep it up!
Dude sell that monkey its cheap asf now and dont invest again in nfts
thank you for your time!!!
I didn't mean anything bad by saying u should go for the OLED, im just saying if u wanna review something u gotta pick the one with unique feature right? ahah anyway thanks for making this video, im gonna go get my blade 16 OLED tomorrow, i bought an Alienware m18 last year but i returned it, i think this time im making a right decision, we both are
No worries at all, I was happy to do it. It was a fun part of the video to create 😁👍 thank you for commenting.
I also bought it :) awesome thing i love it, and the display is so awesome to play on.
Pyke, can you check PWM of this screen. It’s very important in our days!
Thank you for the video! Did you like it way more than the X16 from Dell?
Yes, absolutely
I have the same lap top with specs. Don’t guys recommend a stand when playing in higher settings to help the thermals? Which stand do you recommend?
thank you for this review man
I'm considering getting this laptop. But how's the battery life on this year's model with the QHD+ OLED panel?
I'm from Brazil and I'm going to import a Razer Blade 16 but I'm in doubt between the 2023 MiniLED 4k UHD+ model or the 2024 OLED 240 Hz model. I'm a 3D Artist and the screen is one of the most important points for my investment. I would like to see these two screens side by side. If anyone could give me information about these two models I would be grateful.
he already did
nao compra essa tela mini led irmao, eu foi na loja da razer la em orlando, na hora que vi que leesja tinham esse com tela oled, na hora comprei, a de mini led é tao ruim quando a galera diz na internet
Dont buy mini led it's trash it has plenty ofnproblems
OLED is a better choice
Such a gorgeous laptop. Will only get OLED laptops from now on until something truly better comes out. Wish Razer would go back to the full glass screen instead of having plastic bezels. Maybe a refresh later this year.
The bezels are tiny
Maybe in the not-so-distant future, QDEL displays will come to replace OLED but right now OLED is the best. I also won't be getting any laptop that isn't OLED.
As for the bezels, I really wish they'd go back to glass displays. It just looks more premium compared to the cheap looking plastic. They can use glass with some anti-reflection coating to reduce reflections on the glass and it'll look 100X better than what they have now.
The temps on the palm rest areas and keyboard WASD area are really surprising to me. I had last years 16" with the 4090 and the UHD display and the temps I had were over 40 degrees Celsius. How long did you run the benchmark before taking that temp? Can you re-run for say 10 minutes and repost the temps? Maybe Razer fixed something important here...
Internal temps are quite high if it lays flat on a table and you play demanding games like Alan Wake 2, however, surface temps stay surprisingly low.
Fk I've been trying to find a macro shot of the pixels for so long, using a magnifying glass and my phone just doesn't work
I don't think you should be constantly talking when measuring the noise level.
What are in game thermals like?
do you prefer the mini led or oled razer blade 16?
OLED
Even in spite of the thunderbolt 5 and 190 tgp on 18 only n 2 k dimming zones but oled beats mini led no matter what. But the extra 25 tgp n thb5 @techbypike
CPU temperature in games?
Wow loving the 2024 razors except for those loud fans ! My god, they need to fix that asap. I'm wishing and hoping gaming laptops for the new year upgrade from traditional fans to the new airjet cooling technologys from frore !! Idk why these companies aren't already jumping on board with airjets, they're silent and proven to improve overall cooling and allows a boost in performance in such a small compact device, it's truly revolutionary. Until we get it in our gaming laptops, I won't upgrade, fingers crossed for 2025 🙏🏾
The airjets aren't nearly enough for cooling yet. At the moment, they're only able to cool up to 28W while a gaming laptop like this uses over 200W. I don't think we'll be getting airjets that can cool gaming laptops anytime soon so don't even bother waiting.
@fidelisitor8953 I mean I'm not to sure if your 100% correct on that but I could see where you're coming from, my thing is they have the mini version and the bigger versions of the airjet systems, they've been fitting macbooks with 3 minis, I don't see why 4 full size airjet couldn't handle gaming laptops, I think they can brother, the problem is they're focusing on apple and macbooks which they don't need airjets to begin with, if they focus on gaming laptops first we could have gotten them in 2024 gaming laptop this year, but idk this is just my opinion but you may be right. One thing for sure tho is razor need ls to do a better job with their fans, msi fans are not high pitched jet sounding like razor, they can do better, if they're charging us $10000 for their laptops 😑
@@ob8719 They fit in three airjet minis into a macbook air 15inch and they were only able to sustain ~20W only. The guys at Frore even mentioned that two airjet pros can only sustain up to 28W meanwhile a gaming laptop like this razer blade or the msi you called will use anywhere from 230W to 265W combined for CPU+GPU. To sustain such power, approximately 19 airjet pros will be needed which is ridiculous. Gaming laptop's too much to handle right now and that's why they're at the moment focusing on "easier to cool" devices like the macbook airs. Notice they didn't even try to cool a macbook pro. The power and heat will be too much. It'll take many years before they can have the airjets cool a gaming laptop.
@fidelisitor8953 Understood, well hopefully in the near future
@@ob8719 I also hope we get to the point where gaming laptops can run quiet and still maintain cool temps. Maybe the airjets might be the answer or maybe something else entirely like windows on arm gaming laptops might make it possible.
Do you use a Laptop stand ?
Waiting for my delivery......
i think im gonna go to the razer store then order it online then pick it right from there, to earn some razer membership points
Beautiful laptop ❤️❤️👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
really loud but whats the fan noise on Balanced? Ill bet its about 46, its the only fan profile I run on Razer and its more or less the same FPS as turbo, if you want to run games on Full fans you should get the 18inch I think and forget the 16, Im writing this on a Blade 14 2023, and its completely silent on battery Balanced, subbed..
Which laptop did you get before this one?
Yeah, I got the Razer Blade 16 2024 but it was the one with the dual mode mini led dispay. FHD+ (1920x1200) 240Hz mode and UHD+ (3480x2400) 120Hz. It’s a powerful pc but it was not the one with the OLED.
Hello everyone. im hope someone can help me. Im stuck between the legion 9i and the blade 16 oled if I get the blade ill get it with the 4070 if get the legion id get the 4090. I love the design of the blade a ton. and the legions small track pad and lowered keyboard turn me off of it. im wondering if the 4090 performance is good enough for me to suck it up and deal with a laptop im not in love with.
I've had my 2024 blade 16 i9-14900hx rtx 4090 for about 5 days now and I have to say compared to any other high end laptops I have owned including the msi gt77 titan hx 13vi, alienwre m18 AMD advantage, asus rog zephyrus duo 16 that this laptop has had better thermals then any other razer I've ever seen or personally owned. I have personally tested the Lenovo 9i i9-13980hx rtx 4090 and was really excited about the built in water pump however after running many tests, benchmarks, and thermals it appeared that the gpu was properly cooled however the CPU was really struggling with temps and constantly throttling down clock speeds. I believe the newer 2024 9i coming out has that problem solved so if you are willing to wait it is worth the wait but the razer blade 16's screen, performance, and thermals are better then most heavy weights this year.
@@brandonwellz007 Would you choose the Legion 9i over the Blade 16 OLED if your mentioned problem wouldn't exist anymore?
thank you for your insight. I went with the Oled Blade 16 and I love it. @@brandonwellz007
👌
I think the Asus Zephyrus G series offers a better value than Razer, especially with the new 2024 design.
Do you know when it will come out?
Asus G16 2024 is a midrange laptop in terms of performance. Weak cpu, GPU limited to 115W... It shouldn't really be compared to the beast that Blade is.
Performance takes a hit on the G16
nice case of laptop, but ugly logo of razer.. legion figured out that better
