Palm oil is popularly used for Ewa Agoyin sauce but I chose to use Sunflower oil (Ororo) in this video because I do not like palm so much. You can substitute the ororo part of the video with Palm oil. Thank you 🤗🤗 Thank you so much for watching 🤗. Have you tried any of our recipes? Or do intend to try out our recipes soon? Ewa is beans in yoruba but the original owner of this meal are togolese and Beninese. Ewa agoyin are used to describe the type of beans prepared by these people of togolese and Beninese origins. The mean was later adopted by the yoruba tribe in Nigeria.
I like ur method. But, try adding the salt or any other seasoning to ur sauce, when it almost done. Adding it at the beginning, make ur sauce bitter or burnt.
I Apologise for my late response. I have never used pressure pot before but I guess Yes, you can use it. I will recommend you transfer to normal pot/stove when the bean is completely soft, you can complete the remaining procedure on the stove.
Nice, explanatory, easy to follow video, thanks alot sis....is it compulsory I use grandnut oil?what if I choose to use palmoil, will I still get same result? Your response will b appreciated.thanks again
Yeah! I know it's so much work, this is why we only eat this only on sundays while growing. You can make the stew in large quantity keep in the fridge or freezer to make life easy.

Agoyin beans. Actually it originated from Lome, Togo. We call them the AGOYINS
I thought ewa agoyin sauce was made with palm oil. I didn't know you can make use of vegetable oil
Your kid speaking in the background trying to copy you is really cute :-)

This looks so good!!!!
Thank you 🤗
English name for Ewa Agoyin is "Beans of Agoyin" 🙂
As much as this looks good I don't think i have the patience to be stirring that sauce for 1hr. Oh well no ewa agoyin for me
Yeah! I know it's so much work, this is why we only eat this only on sundays while growing. You can make the stew in large quantity keep in the fridge or freezer to make life easy.
Why didn't you use palm oil
because I prefer sunflower oil for this recipe but you can chose to use palm oil.
My favourite food
Mashed beans
The English name is beans sandwish
can we use pressure pot to cook d beans?
ADEOYE GIDEON I have never used pressure pot before but I guess Yes, you can use it. I will recommend you transfer to normal pot/stove when the bean is completely soft, you can complete the remaining procedure on the stove.

Aganyin beans 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😁😁😁
Sugar? 😲
But I thought this sauce is made with palm oil as opposed to ororo. I stand corrected, pls
Yes! You can use either of the two. I am not a big fan of palm oil, that was why I chose ororo. 😊
Palm oil is traditionally used and is much better for you as ororo is terrible for our health.
Our forefathers used palm oil and didnt have heart attacks...
@@thebigprogrammer7968 thank you so much Ummu 🤗
pls what is d name of d peper inside the water?
ADEOYE GIDEON that pepper is scotch bonnet (the dried one) we call it Ata rodo in Nigeria. I will advise you use less if you are using the fresh one.
Agoyin is a tribe, and they are the ones that cooks beans in a paste form and sells the beans, hence the name “ewa agoyin”
Thank you for the information 🤗🤗🤗
How on earth will you cook the so called sauce with vegetables oil😢
