One of the most honest reactions to this performance I've ever seen. I could see you welling up with emotion and I can't say I blame you. How anyone can hear this for the first time and (to quote another brilliant Australian artist) "not get blown away" is beyond me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

His live performances are always better than the studio versions. The studio ones can't capture his magnificence where as the live ones are transcendent.
@@strongladyd3542 His first number 1 was in 1967 when he was 18 - so he has a lot of experience on stage. He had a very rocky period in the 70’s and early 80’s with his career and had a massive comeback with the album Whispering Jack which is the second biggest selling album in Australia

John Farnham is much loved here in Australia.
There is something very special about him that adores everyone to him. He really is a very honest, caring and open like a book person.
He genuinely cares about everyone he meets and interacts with.
Every single person you see behind him is also has their own personal career bands outside of his band. He always accumulates top notch musicians and singers from across the globe. One of his greatest friends would be Venetta Fields. A stunning and brilliant American woman who has sung all across the globe with the biggest legends and biggest world renowned bands.
She even moved permanently to Australia and is retired here now. As she saw the most work here and he had earned her admiration and loyalty.
John always vigorously campaigns and highlights all of his band members skills and abilities for both the temporary and permanent members.

Every time I hear this song I get emotional. JF or as we call him Farnsy or The voice is one of a kind. As well as having the best male voice Australia has ever produced he is such a good person never any negative press about him through his 50 years of entertaining us. We love him.

Thanks for doing my request. I knew you would love this John and this performance. Yeah he sure does have a set of pipes on him that’s why we call him the voice in Australia. This is originally a Beatles song which John made more of a ballad. And to think this was at the end of a 2 and half hour concert is even more amazing.

It wasn't quite the end of the concert. He came out for another encore after this one to sing Sadie and It's a Long Way to the Top. Amazing vocal endurance!

Australian John Farnham is a consummate professional, a musical A1+, has a big and powerful vocal range, can sing in over twenty genres, has a musical career spanning six decades with top hits in every one, is a charismatic performer with wonderful interpretive ability and is well-loved by Aussie audiences. Many of his songs give a message of greater good for the world. John gives concerts for charity and is a down-to-earth, and a humble and beautiful person who happily engages with his fans .Please react to more of his songs . A bit on John - Born in the UK in 1949, came out when 10 to Melbourne Victoria, Australia. Same sort of history as Olivia Newton John, who was born in the UK in 1948 and came out when 5 to Melbourne. Both worked in the industry in Melbourne in the 1960's and eventually Olivia ended up back in the UK and then the US. John became the King of Pop with the 1967 hit ‘Sadie the Cleaning Lady.’ John had his chances to work in the US but wanted to live in Australia. He is now in his 70's and sadly went through a 12 hour operation for throat cancer losing part of his jaw back about the same time his dear friend Olivia died in August 2022.
