Thanks for watching! I realized that I made two small mistakes - there's a vault light above the bedroom door and the white picket fence behind the vendor that are actually Atomic Shop items 😐 Totally my bad, but just replace with whatever you have light and fence-wise. Happy building!
& the nuclear winter stash boxes.
I hope the nuclear winter items become available again some day. I'd kill for the VTU diploma, posters & stash boxes.
@@SleepyPanda-ep6ljOh, I never played during nuclear winter. I think some of those stash boxes are either available via seasonal events (I believe treasure hunters maybe?) or Minerva.
Can you tell me where in the map you built this? pleaseeee😅
@@dull_flower in the forest region, just north of the wayward bar, on the same road. if you fast travel to the wayward and face north, look for the small red car (seen at 00:07 in the video) and the space just behind it is where OP places their camp
I knew everything in this video and I also build lore friendly like this but I wanted to say this is probably the best video I've seen to help people build lore friendly camps. This will help less experienced people for sure and we shall see less floating boxes in the wasteland 😊
Thank you so much! That's the idea anyway haha...less floating and more clutter :)
Same I wish alot more people opted to build lore friendly anestheticly pleasing builds. Not gonna lie it breaks the ambiance when I walk into a big box with 100s of lights and stairs with all work stations lining the walls
@@Falsegospel1 Yea exactly. I'd like to do more of these tutorials to show people you don't need like hours of building and crazy merge tricks to make something look nice. I can't stand the giant floating camps supported by one set of stairs haha.
Merging the oil lamp into a regular lamp was the simplest yet most satisfying thing in this whole video for me😮💨
Yea I wss really happy when I found out the oil lamp fits almost perfectly in that light :) I wish they would tone down the brightness for every light in the build system haha.
Broo, your intro killed me. that look like my camp, vault boy pointing, turrets on the roof 💀💀💀
Lol. That was my first camp too haha. Hopefully this was helpful!
Great tutorial man, perfect for new players who instantly want a pro looking camp....we all remember our days of an empty 24 foundation rectangular camp...at least I do anyway 😂
Lol! Yea...unfortunately haha
This tutorial is gonna change settlement building, which I didn’t really care about, COMPLETELY now! Thank you
You bet!
I hope to see your camps in game some day. These are incredible
Thanks so much! Stop on by anytime if you're on PC
Omg I’ve been building in 76 since beta and this is hands down the most helpful, well put together, easiest to access, tips and tricks out there. Bravo!
Damn, thank you so much for the kind words!
A really good video for beginners. It’s also a good video for long time players that don’t have time or don’t want to put so much effort into camp building but they still want a nice camp 🥰
Thanks Ruby!
This is awesome! The creativity in this with just the free items is crazy 🤯
Thanks so much! My other builds get a little crazier haha, so feel free to check those out too :)
Blackberries AND Mutfruit are my favorites to use for cover-up plants over the Atom shop bushes. And not only do they cover-up, they provide food or sales items.
Yea mutfruit is pretty good too! They never seem to want to place the way I want them to though haha.
One of things I love about the later Fallout Games is the Building of Settlements or Places of your own for short. It makes Fallout 4 and 76 more enjoyable.
This is a superb tutorial! Really clear and simple to follow. And you have paced it really well so that you are not overloading me, the uneducated viewer, with too much information too fast. I also appreciate that you covered the "why" just as much as the how. This is an important feature that some YTers overlook as it helps the viewer understand the reasoning behind the methodology allowing them better understand how it all fits together to create lore friendly builds of their own. I am not a 76er. But this tutorial does give me some great ideas to take away and have a play with in Fo4.
Thanks so much! I was worried I went too quick in some areas, but glad to hear you found it easy to follow. And you can definitely apply some of these tips to FO4!
this is the first video i've come across that has actually made sense to me. love your editing and presentation made good work!!!! Subbed!
Glad you dig it! 😊
I'm following along and using this as a guide to improve my camp, thanks!
I loved spending my time building stuff in Fallout 4 and as a returning player (played only at launch) this explains so many workarounds with the new ruleset for camp building, thank you soooo much 🔥
Of course! Glad you found it helpful...happy building!
Thanks for your Tips&Tricks. I'm tons of hours into this game and like the camp building feature very much - but boy, there was so much stuff I didn't know. Especially the merging feature is nice and gives a lot of new possibilities. And simple tricks as combining structures like stairs and floors? Nice!
Yea, merging is awesome once you get the hang of it. Combining items in unique ways just adds so much depth to builds. Glad you found it helpful!
Def using this exact build but going to use my own decor, first helpful building video I’ve found
Awesome, glad you found it helpful! Love it when I see my builds out in the wasteland with other people's spin on decorating :)
one thing i care the most in camp building is, fast travel spawn point, make sure to adjust the camp thingy before start building
lol my camp is just a sleeping bag on the ground high up in the mountains with 4 crafting stations right now. Not a fan that moving camp is 24 caps all the time but I’m enjoying the game. It is Fallout and Appalachia is a fun place to run around in. Feels like a proper RPG.
Ha, yea the fun thing is you can play however you want! Small camps are the best imho.
Thank you for this easy to understand camp building tutorial.
Wow lots of tip and tricks that I had no clue for Fallout 76. Amazing!
Great tutorial FB. Ill definitely reference this for anyone looking to learn some immersive build tips. It's cool to see you adding different content to your channel, too.
Thanks man, appreciate it!
Loved how you took your time explaining everything. A+
Thanks!
Great tips. Im a decent builder alreadyz but there were se great ideas I never thought of like the cage light entrance. Thabks. 🎉
Just took me to school. This looks so much better than my boxy mansions littered with random items at 90 degree angles.
Glad it was helpful!
Watching builders work in FO76 and doing some myself has made me realize that the devs should really do some camp building QoL. Allow builders to enable an advanced mode that allows more precise controls, looser restrictions for merging, etc. Also a rotation and grid snapping for local or world on toggle would save so much time when it comes to aligning things. Perhaps more sub options after spawning something in, like lamps, bulbs, lights in general that would be compatible. Kind of like the wallpaper or lock sub menu, but for bulb types and strengths so we don't end up with overly bright lights in the wrong places. (Looking at you fire barrel of pure white light)
Build looks great though and going to take some ideas into my builds going forward, thanks!
Haha yea, there's been a need for big QoL improvements in the build system for a while. They mentioned last year they were going to revamp some things at some point (they re-named some stuff recently which didn't have a big impact)...but who knows if a true update will ever come. Like you said, even adding in sub-categories could do wonders, especially for people with a ton of stuff in categories like Floor Decor, which can take ages to scroll through/find stuff in. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I love building settlements in FO4, but have been struggling with my camp in FO76.
Oh yea that's how I caught the building bug too... in FO4. Loved the settlement building there and really enjoy the CAMP building in FO76. Happy building!
This vid just changed everything for me. Thank you a ton!
You bet!
Thank you for this vid!! Learned a lot of easier ways to do things!! 😃
Out as soon as I heard this was just another video that regurgitates the exact same opinions about 'immersion'. My camps float because your disapproval of them fuels them. ❤
You do you man ✌️
Your Fallout 76 builds are phenomenal. Please continue creating more C.A.M.P. tutorials!
Thanks! I've, uhh, got some ideas I'm working on haha
@@Fuzz-Brain Sounds great. I can't wait to see them!
Love it , i just find a pain to snap the roofs on and off , but the hardest thing is to even have half of the plans that you used hhaahah
Ha, fair! Player vendors can be a big help. Even at my level, I go shopping around vendors each week for any plans I don't have. Good luck out there!
Very nice video i learned some new merge ideas from this! You earned a new sub.
Welcome, Grimm!
thank you for this video. i am not nearly creative enough tgo make things like this and its part of the reason i stopped playing in the first place but now i can actually start again.
Well, welcome back! Hopefully you can use this as a template to make something your own :)
Very simple but awsome. Maybe I will do work on my Frankenstein design
This was extremely helpful, thank you!
Of course!
It's really helpful. Thank you so much
Of course!
thank you I just started playing and I ended up buying the Retreat pre fab because all my houses looked like a block haha. But I really do want to put something together myself eventually too once I progress further, not even lvl 50 yet so focusing on that and coming up with a build first.
Welcome to the game! Hopefully you're having fun so far haha. Building can be challenging at first, but once you get used to it, you can open up your creativity. Prefabs are great to use if you want to get better at decorating without needing to focus on the structure itself. I usually recommend people start out small with a 1x2 or 2x2 base and go from there. Happy building!
@@Fuzz-Brain I am having a ton of fun, and it was great last night in the game I was moving around casual teams using a mic trying to get someone to die for me for the tadpole quest and I ended up meeting these three high level people who not only helped me with the quest but leveled me to 50, took me on a tour of things I need to know about, and gave me a ton of plans and materials. We played for like 5 hours together and honestly I was just so shocked at how nice and helpful they all were!
I use the fusion generator every time, each time hidden behind a wall with thru connectors lol
Tons of great tips and explained very well!
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing! I loved everything you did except the double wall thing i think it looks weird having the interior on the exterior but i think it would be cool to have exterior on both sides so you cant see the studs
Thank you for some great tips I did not know about
You bet!
Great job on the tutorial Fuzz.. New players are going to be greatful for this...
Thank you!
Thank you! This is a great video!
Of course!
This is so cute. I'm used to seeing builds with this kind of detail be huge or just out of touch for anyone new. I mean, I'm really new so it's out of the box for me, but it has so many fun ideas! Plus I made a joke in my head about Fallout 76 being The Sims for straight dudes and yelled "HAPPY PRIDE" after and I'll see myself out (I needed to be able to make that joke, so thank you for helping me take my mind off something)
Thanks! Feel free to check out some of my build tours too, you may dig some. And not all of us are straight lol. Happy Pride 😊
Awesome tutorial
I saw one of your camp builds on TNG so, I subscribed
Nice, thanks for stopping by!
This deserves a Like & Comment. I'm a fellow builder. But gotta admit.....I'm not very good at Interior Decorating. You nailed that too!
Thanks so much...I think it takes some time to find your decorating style, but you'll get there!
wow some of these hacks for getting things to place are amazing. thanks for the tips!
You bet!
THIS is really well done! I love this C.A.M.P. idea! Great vid, keep up the good work! Liked & Subbed! ;)
Thanks so much!
I’m so excited to try this
Have fun! Let me know if you have any questions along the way.
Maybe you'd think it's too advanced for this vid, but you could have put items in that wall cabinet above your tinker's workbench by doing the rug and CAMP elevation glitch... Very immersive too :) Nice tutorial!
Yea definitely. Wanted to keep this one simple but can show more advanced techniques in future videos. Thanks for watching!
crazy to think after 8k hours invested into this game i have learned something new for once, imma do some gnarly merges Lol got my sub
Haha, glad it was helpful!
I counted the tips and there weren't 76 of them 😡
😂😂 You just gave me another video idea lol
Just picked up the game very glad this was the first video I watched on the game lol
Oh wow, awesome haha. The building is great once you get the hang of it. Enjoy it out there in the wasteland!
Thanks for the advice to help me out! I’ve been playing F4 and the camp building is a bit different than 76 is I was losing my mind 😂
Happy to help! Yea they do share some similarities, but they're quite different too. Happy building!
Brilliant video dude
Thanks!
great tips and editing :P
Thank you!
Love this guide thank you you earned a subscriber 👍
Awesome, thank you!
Hey great video! Can you explain how to lower the foundation like you did around 3:18 ?
Thanks! Sure...what you do is select the foundation (and keep holding the button) while you're holding it, press Z (to raise) or C (to lower) on PC. I'm not sure what the buttons are for PS or Xbox but I assume they're the triggers (L1, R1, etc). Hope that helps!
2 of my favorite merges if you have them. Merge a candle into a pumpkin. And the vault tec prototype generator is noiseless n smokeless. Snap a conduit to it and Merge it down into a foot locker or into the fridge in a kitchen. Also if you double roof your house you place it btwn the flat roof and the angled pieces.
Oh for sure! I've used the candle/pumpkin trick several times...I just don't like how bright the candles are sometimes, you know? If you watch some of my build videos, I'm a big proponent of merging the vault-tec generator into things. Just wasn't able to for this camp since it was non-Atomic Shop only. Thanks for the great tips and for watching!
@@Fuzz-Brain haha yeah they are ridiculously bright lol I figured that was why. I really think that gen should be free. I haven't watched all your videos sorry 🙁
Thanks for the I-Beam trick on the corners of the porch roof. Seriously.
You bet!
Thanks for the tutorial dude! Now I can go make my friends jealous >:)
Haha you bet!
Do you need defenses?? I watched a few other videos and 2 of the guys said defenses are not needed and just took up camp space..? Or is this just for like immersion? Or are they actually needed??
You really only need turrets in highly contested areas (like if you build near a fissure site, for example). Most times you don't really, but there are enemy spawns that can happen at your camp randomly and the turrets keep them at bay if so. just don't overdo it and place like 30 of them because they do take up quite a bit of camp budget. I usually never place more than two. Plus, they make it look more immersive, as you said :)
I'm trying to build an entry way where the foundation is lower; however, it won't let me lower it any. When I put it off the corner like it is in the video I can't remove the one next to it because it says part of the structure would be inaccessible.
Hmm, do you have stairs attached to the foundation by chance? That's likely what the issue is. You can also add another foundation to that one to get more separation and try again. Hope that helps!
@@Fuzz-Brain I have the house built, put a foundation at the front of the house and one off the corner. It won't let me remove the one attached to the structure because it says part would be inaccessible. Haven't been able to figure it out.
Nice
3:44 how do I edit the wall without storing it? when I store it it just resets and the roof goes all the way at the top instead of right below it
nvm I was pressing store not replace lol
Haha, all good! Glad you figured it out :) You can replace some things, which comes in handy, like foundations, walls, and stairs.
this is amazing camp tutorial💯💯💯
Thanks!
A first class tutorial. 👌👍
🥰
Please just answer me this, is there a way to stop foundations from floating? It's driving me crazy. I can't get started on building my camp until I can figure out how to stop or hide the floating...
How are they floating? The foundations should just sink into the ground. Be sure you're not using the second floor foundations since those will only attach to stairs.
@@Fuzz-Brain Can I send you an image somewhere? You got a twitter or a PSN or anything?
Which decoration plans were used for this build?
If you don’t mind, thanks in advance
There's way too many to name here. If there's a few specific ones you're interested in, I'm happy to elaborate.
I love the tutorial so far, but how do i lower an already snapped foundation for the offset?
What I generally do is snap a two extra foundations off to the side, then remove the one in the center so I'm left with one free-standing. Then, I adjust the height for that one until I get it where I want it then snap the center foundation back and re-adjust the primary foundation (if that's what you're trying to do). Does that make sense?
Great comment!
@@Fuzz-BrainThanks for this reply, I cant get it to work with buttons on pc but the other method ypu.mentuon worked well enough! Thanks for tue video and the reply!
Very helpful!
Whats the song at the end during the tour?
It's this one from the YT Audio Library :) th-cam.com/video/NTqySA_9ZWQ/w-d-xo.html

Yes good stuff. How about some lore for deep backstory and in real struggle in real life? Like, can we get more videos that go crossing into reality builds of making cool real workshops, and cool camps, or cosplay tools that are like Fallout , or inspired by Fallout? In other words, how can the Fallout game / simulation inspire us to do real things in real life? LOL
how do you select a carpet with an item on it to move it around (pc)? by blueprinting it? coz this would be very annoying.....
Hey, not sure what you mean exactly. You just need to place an item on the carpet, then select the carpet and it will support the item. You shouldn't need to blueprint anything.
@@Fuzz-Brain thx, this was exactly what i meant xD
3:06 How did you do this? The game won't let me Scrap/Store this foundation because the other one wouldn't be accessible
Do you have stairs snapped to it by chance? That could be the cause. Also, if the additional foundation you placed is floating a bit, then it won't let you remove the other. Hope that helps!
@@Fuzz-Brain So the issue was that the separated foundation would have been slightly too high. I moved everything so it was like 2 inches lower and it worked lol.
Crazy, because it would have 100% been accessible since you can climb the side of the wooden foundation
@@godqueensadie oh nice, glad it worked out! Yea, the build mechanic is a bit funky at times, but it is what it is haha.
@@Fuzz-Brain I'm not sure I like the "Find the workaround" mini-game built into the base building lol
@@godqueensadie it's the true endgame of 76 haha
Funny how I've played for a few yrs an never knew how easy it was to merge items
Super easy! Some items are definitely easier than others to merge, so it's a lot of trial and error. Happy Building!
Does the pressure plate trick work anymore?
Yea definitely!
PLEASE KEEP MAKING FALLOUT 76 VIDEOS
Haha, that's the plan!
Hey I got a question? How did you keep your building budget so low
Well, I keep my buildings pretty small. Even with the double-walls, this particular build isn't very budget-heavy. I'm also only using two turrets (which can take up a bunch of space). The majority of the budget comes from the decoration and filling the space with larger furniture helps too. Not sure if that answers your question, but if you're having trouble staying within budget I usually recommend starting with a small building (2x2) and going from there. If you take a look at most of my build videos, they're not too big, so check some of those out for more inspiration. Here's a good one: th-cam.com/video/nCH92KImNvo/w-d-xo.html
Having watched this, Im getting immense buyers remorse for every camp atom shop item 😂
Think of this as the cake and the atomic shop items can be the icing :)
what is the location of the build? i really like the look of that spot
It's right up the street from the Wayward...can't miss it!
how do you move the foundations down so smoothly
You can do it pretty easily! Basically select then click again to hold the foundation...then use C or Z (on PC) or the trigger (or maybe bumber) buttons on consoles to move them up and down. Keep in mind they can't be connected to any other foundation or it won't work! That's why I use a spare foundation to set the height then snap the others back into it. Hope that helps!
I love your solar punk camp, would have liked to see more of asian , japanese camps like japanese fast food
Thanks! Yea I have a small noodle shop type build in mind, so keep an eye out for that in the future :)
What location is this please! GREAT VID!
This spot is directly next to the Wayward! Just walk north up the street and you'll see it right past the trailers.
@@Fuzz-Brainthanks, I’ll look for it tomorrow morning
My mind is blown 😂
Where is this camp built? Great tips too!
Thanks! It's right up the street from the Wayward. Just head north past the cows and trailers and it's right there on a little hill.
@@Fuzz-Brainthanks so much
So how do you lower the pieces on xbox
I believe it's either the triggers or bumpers on the xbox controller (sorry I'm not entirely sure). First, select and hold the foundation, then use either of them to raise/lower the foundation.
The problem is, all that extra mucking around and hidden stuff uses up camp space fast
There's more than enough budget to handle most immersive build layouts. I think I still had about 10-15% left when this was finished, but your mileage may vary.
Jesus man that's impressive lol.
Thanks so much! Feel free to check out some of my camp build videos for more inspiration :)
❤
🥰
Cool camp. A bit too cluttered for my liking though. I always admired the clean, modern looking, builds.
I just don't have enough creativity 😂
Of course you do! You just need to find your own style 😊
How is anything you’re placing outside the building saving? I can’t get anything to save that I put outside wtf
Hmm, what do you mean exactly? You can't place anything? Have you double-checked your camp budget? Saved items can take up space in your budget (the gray bar at the top) and if you exceed it, it won't let you build anything else until you delete stuff from the 'Saved' tab. Hope that helps!
I am level 275 & have done countless full-reward tier Radiation Rumbles and have still never gotten the plan for the radioactive barrel at 8:11. I'm always salty whenever I see someone in game/on youtube with it lol
Dang, sorry to hear that! I think I finally got it around level 200 or so after many failed attempts as well. You'll get it soon! 🤞
Anyone know where this is on the map?
This is just north of The Wayward! Up the road past the trailers.
they should add more camp budget, even wires and conduits take up camp budget
Yea, it's a server issue as far as I know....can't have a crazy amount of stuff clogging up server space I suppose
Can someone tell me where in the map was this? I'm new so idk... 😅
I built this right up the street from the Wayward :) Just go past the cows and the trailers and you're right there!
@@Fuzz-Brain thank you so muchhh! Love your videos and builds! 🫶🏻❤️❤️❤️
