Beautiful! I plugged in the transformer to the track but the train didn’t move with the remote. Is there anything else that needs to be done? This is our first train
I'm sorry to hear that you have a problem with it Janine. I gave mine to my granddaughter and set it up under her tree and it worked. Is the track connection snug? Is the engine making a ringing tone?
Thanks so much for responding to me. Maybe the tracks weren’t connected tightly enough. I didn’t hear the engine making any noise. I just have to plug in the transformer right? I didn’t see any switches or anything on the engine.
I would recommend the Lionel Christmas set. I gave this set to my granddaughter and she ran it all last Christmas. No problems with the set. My son said they are ready to set it up again.
That is a really beautiful set and a Christmas set being pulled by a Berkshire no less! Wow!! The lighted cars are sweet. Love this video Al!

im debating whether to get this set or the bradford illuminated rudolph that one doesnt have the smoke? which one would you recommend?

Lionel is so lazy. The locomotive and the tender is just repainted polar express locomotive and tender.
