Shadow Boxes are so cool. I've got some old Shep Paine articles on shadow boxes he made. You've done an excellent job on yours. It looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.
When the music started at 15:39 it was hard for me not to cry - as a full grown, almost 40 year old man. I really hope I can make such memories with my kids as your dad did with you. If it leads them to build such great things - I would be SO proud of them. Thanks for sharing. I had a good time.
Phenomenal. I love how you use such a compact space to display such a rich scene. The trees, the box itself, it's all brilliant. The result is terrific.
Great build Luke! The plants are very realistic this way. One thing; it might not be a good idea to cut the LED strip while it's lit. It can cause a short circuit and blow up your power supply.
Absolutely incredible work, Luke! This really came out amazingly. I loved this scene growing up and this is an awesome recreation of it! Thanks for sharing this! ~ Wolfbrother Methos
All the way around, a great project! I was really happy to see the use of the forest basing mix. That si one of the choices I purchase, and haven't decide what units I will use it for yet, but it really is a good one, especially for this project, congrats!
I think my favorite scene is where Han wastes Greedo before he even has a chance to draw his pistol. Then he just throws a random coin at the bartender ;)
I have been hoping you would touch on Star Wars for a while! I’m thrilled to see you get around to it and hope you could do some more in the future. (Specifically somewhere on Tatooine)
I was just about to post "Good thing about this one is he will only have to dust the outside of it :)" but then I realised Luke didn't put the glass back in to seal it up.
*_This is really nice._* *_There comes a start time and and finish time to a project. If you want to add to this, or a future project, read below._* *_You can add an out-of-focus picture on the back wall: of a Redwood Forest/Endor._* *_Or, you can add a printed Redwood Forest image on transparent overhead sheet aka a transparency, aka a viewfoil, aka a viewgraph._* *_This could have just been a random Redwood Forest/Endor image, or it could have had that bunker in the distance, or more action in the background._* *_This comes back to lighting the diorama; this transparent image could have been lit from behind the box-if needed._* *_Yeah, it's more work, and maybe the box would then have to be deeper, but even an out-of-focus image on the entire backside that isn't lit would have added even more wow-factor._* *_Dioramas can be an never-ending project, but they are in a box and that's where the story should be, so the box should be the limit._*
I absolutely love this, it's fantastic. I ordered the Archive-X paints a couple months ago because I have a love affair with warm greys. You're correct that these paints have a superb color selection, the bottles are much larger than typical hobby paint and have an accordingly higher price.
Hi Charles,i have already lot of acrylics..Citadel,Vallejo,AK,Pro Acryl..but the Archive-X loooks very good too. Is the bottle are in 30ml or 60ml please and do you think they are better than others paints brands ? Thanks !
@@jorey4565 they come in exactly the same size bottle as the 30 ml (1 oz.) Golden High Flow Acrylics. They are designed primarily for airbrushing though they do not come pre-thinned - this means you're not getting single coat coverage if you brush paint them on for certain colors. (Though brush painting them on is certainly valid.) If you are a Star Wars fan or intend to paint things that have the various off-whites and warm greys seen throughout the franchise, this is the paint set for you. I would say for my purposes this line is more supplemental to ProAcryl.
Loving these smaller, almost claustrophobic dioramas at the moment. This one, along with the latest from 52Miniatures, really are giving me an itch to make my own. ps. your scenics stuff is great. Picked some up from Broadsword Wargaming a while back and there now all I'll use for basing my minis.
May the 4th too.. Very timely sir. Stunning work..
A grand tribute to a movie about father-son relationships and the ability of “small people” to cause havoc for big empires. Love it!
Sounds a lot like 'the Lord of the rings' to me
Hitting the LED strip with a warmer transparent color is a stroke of genius.
TUP brought me here and man, I'm SO glad I found you! This is just superb and hit me right in the nostalgia. Subbed

Fantastic and the lighting looks great.

Trapped Under Plastic sent me here, needed to see your take on a classic scene!

Really great results there dude, lovely stuff
That turned out really great!
Absolutely beautiful diorama of one of the most iconic scenes. Makes me wanna do myself a Star Wars diorama.
Really nice job. For such a small piece it packs a big punch.
That is a very cool diorama, really interesting to see how it went together. Will be trying out some of the techniques.
Loving your Mediterranean base ready, my Blood Ravens look like they're on holiday, which they might need after their last video game.
Awesome work! This would be a great technique for another of my favourite scenes on the speeder bikes, with a blown up one hitting a tree etc…
Fantastic!! Where do I get the paint mixer you used??
Good job man! Love it!
👍👍👍🤠🤠that looks amazing great job. I hope that your eyes better 👍👍
Awesome work dude, I really like how you did the big trees - they came out really well!
Tatooine is Sparsely Populated....looks Great...‼‼👍‼‼
Great work. Looks fantastic! May I ask where you the vibrating pad that you used for your paints?
Love the diorama! I will be trying the static grass pine needle technique, at some point. Very convincing. Thanks for the tip!

really great work😱😱😱😱😱
Superb little build, Luke, its so effective. Btw as a maker of 3D things, dioramas etc all I can say is 'happy dusting!' lol
I was just about to post "Good thing about this one is he will only have to dust the outside of it :)" but then I realised Luke didn't put the glass back in to seal it up.
Okay but next time it’s all in aquarium and instead of Ewoks you get those cute googly eyed fish! 😆
That’s fantastic ! 👍
Wow! Nicely done!
It's that ginger beard gets much bigger your going to have to add son to the end of your surname 😂
If it gets much bigger luke can use it to stir his airbrush up with instead of a brush
@@matthewlong4074 Luke Gamingsson 😆👍
Absolutely brilliant!!!
the pro scryl on the lights was such a need!
This was awesome! Totally going to get those paints
That is insanely good dude! 😲👌 proper gets me in the feels ❤
Great job. Where are the ewoks from please?
Great build man!! Lovely work
Dude, that looks amazing!! What a great job. May the Fourth be with you. Oh man, I feel like attempting my first diorama now.

Wow I'm gob smacked you show much talent, thank you very much for bringing me a little bit of nostalgia. Thanks 😊
I like the way that the AT-ST is kind of peering nervously through the murk.
whats the spray your using to seal the dirty on to the base I've been using PVA and a spray would be much simpliar
That is really neat!
Awesome build!
First time I have come across your work and have to say thus looked the Dogs Nuts!
I love the Ewoks, the techniques are all new to me, im going to be trying them in the future.. Thank you
Great diorama thanks for sharing it with us

You and Josh should have done an ewok dance party afterwards, see missed a trick there. Nice video dude, hitting a lot of nostalgic buttons
6:28 What do you get when you cross a static grass applicator with a candy floss machine 🤔😛

Mate, love love love this! Could this be the start of a whole new series... Luke's film favourites?
It's fun to see a scene from one of my favorite movies from my childhood being made into a diorama. 😊
Man this looks brilliant!! The hate Ewoks get too is mental. They're bloody awesome
Oh man. Now I really want to build a diorama. This is incredible Luke.
Luke.. I’m your SUBSCRIBER 🤣 May the Fourth be with you!
This really came out fantastic!
Tatooine is sparsely populated. Great vid btw.
