This week, I recreated a shot from the Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One. I used an LED filament to create the beam of the Death Star super laser destroying Jedha City using an LED filament.
Some of my patrons made space station dioramas of their own. Please go check their builds below!

I hope whoever made that quilt is proud, it came out beautifully.
i love that quilt
Noel7979, and it is awesome!
Super cool quilt, really awesome!
Agreed
Yeah, that quilt rocks
I love how relatively simple this is compared to many of your other builds, yet is still so visually stunning! And so happy your finger is ok 🙂. Great job Boylei!!
Amazing my friend. The explosion looks fantastic as usual. This was very creative and the eclipse was the cherry on top. Kudos!
Always a good day when Boylei uploads
Indeed it is, indeed it is…
Yes
Agreed hilight of my bad day
Well, it’s mostly sundays! 😊 So, yes
that final reveal with the eclipse lighting is some magnificent art direction and stylization. as always, Boylei does impeccable work and leaves me in awe.
So simple, yet soooo effective. I always look forward to your fantasy dioramas, but I'd love to see you do some more of your realistic dioramas. My favourite was the one you did about growing up in Mongolia. I'm sure you have more stories to tell Mr. Hobbytime!
Very nicely done, Boylei! It amazes me that you are able to make such a powerful scene out of bits and offcuts. Thanks for sharing this with us!
99th like.
One of the simpler builds you've ever done but one of the most visually impressive. Those glamor shots are phenomenal. Just goes to show that foam and super glue are a maker's best friend!
I used to laugh about a friend who loved setting up diorama's with his toys and setting scenes, always jubilant that he could still hold on to something so inspiring. And now I see why i was so jubilant.
Simple concept, absolutely badass execution. It's amazing how playing with light well can elevate a diorama 10x!
Very cool diorama! And you have a talented group of patrons, as well. Their entries were so good!
5:58 that quilt is incredible!
Another amazing build you legend. Always stay amazing Boylei, you inspire so many to be their creative best and we all appreciate you.
Looks fantastic, especially considering how simple it is. Great photography on the glamour shots. And wow, props to the quilter Noel 7979. That was great.
Dude, it's awesome to see the love for your patrons and giving them a place to show off their work along side yours. Reminds me of lego magazine and customers who sent in pictures of their creations.
I love seeing so many people getting into the art contest! Some really impressive and interesting entries this month
❤Looks phenomenal! Great work! ❤
Way to properly capture such an impactful scene in Star Wars lore in such small detail! Great job!
Amazing work as always, the glamour shots were especially impressive this time around
This was a… blast… to watch!!!
Sorry, couldn’t resist!!! 😅
Couldn't resist, because resistance is futile.
You know, like the Cylons in Star Wars always say?
Such a big effect from what turned out to be a relatively simple build. Need a longer reel of those space stations! The quilt and light box were my faves.
i am always impressed at how good these ultra-tiny scale pieces look. great job, as always!
Spectacular job! Love the backlighting of the Death Star.
This is just pure art. That laser and explosion look as if they could be real. I can't stop staring. Amazing work!
This looks very cool. And so does the work of your Patrons. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
A truely incredible work of art.
Beautiful. Completely beautiful.
I love your upload schedule, right when I get to work I get to enjoy another one of your masterpieces.
It is awesome how something this simple can looks this amazing. Nicely done!
Amazing job as always. Same to everyone who submitted work to the video. I love watching you make star wars builds. Keep up the great work!
The quilt and the light box are amazing!!❤
An amazing scene from the best star wars film, rendered in perfect mimature. You shot for the horizon, and blew it away. Amazing work as usual
Dope as always!!! Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring so many!
Simple to make and it's lighted effect looks great. I like it!
This is sooo amazing! Would be awesome in the future to see this expanded with maybe some city parts or even a 3D printed Death Star for that amazing silhouette!
Great work! That Solar Research Station Helios looked amazing!
Super well done. Thanks!
Simply Superb! Amazing video bro
I just rewatched Rogue One not too long ago! You always seem to make these dioramas at the perfect time! Amazing job it looks so cool!
Absolutely awesome man!
I must say I love the fact you leave in the mistakes. As us hobbyists make a LOT of them, even the ones of extremely high talent levels.
I have been combining your techniques with my love of Horus Heresy Era 30k dioramas.
Makes those resin models come to life man. Cheers for all the tips over the years 👏👏👊👊
Unreal as usual. Thanks for your job
Welcome back, brother. I know what it can be like going through something like that.
I respect that you reached out to us. God bless you!
Another stunning piece! Super Cool!
Perfection as always!!!!!!

From David in Alaska!
You never cease to amaze me with your creativity! ❤
Absolutely stunning!
I saw the thumbnail and I was hooked, I love the scene when they test the Death Star the first time
What a gorgeous Star Trek Diorama!
🤔
Who else liked the video before even watching it? lol awesome diorama as always!
So cool : ) Ty for sharing!
Really cool video Boylei. Thx for representing my favorite Star Wars movie.
Outstanding job there. Very nicely done.
Wow!!!! Looks awesome!!!
And nice work from the crafters!! ❤😊❤
"Oh, it's beautiful"
Amazing builds, and I love your sense of humor. It really does make my day.
Such a nice and simple, yet epic build! Love it. God bless!
That is SO awesome!! Great job!
Boylei, you are the GOAT and you do a great job at displaying your skills and your sense of humor. I enjoy every one of your videos.
Dioramas are always challenging to get right, but in such a small scale this one is impressive!
Loving the Patrions work, would love having your deathstar as a melodramatic reading light📖🦙💿
I just found your channel again after 8 months and I had forgot how much I loved watching your videos you are very skilled and it’s nice and relaxing to watch
Thank you
Wow, that came out beautifully!!
Beautiful. Gorgeous even
That's fantastic, and I'm especially delighted that you are finally starting to disguise your power switches - long may that continue. 🙂
Cool to see a diorama concept start with an object and work backwards, would be cool to see more videos like this ❤
Epic reveal! Top notch as always!
Looks GREAT!!!
Just amazing!
Incredible build! Your skill with dark white spaghetti spiders is an inspiration. Do you train them yourself from a wild colony infestation? Or do you purchase them from a spaghetti spider breeding farm? (Like you and Death Star belly buttons, I will never say that again either....)
Take care Boylei and keep working with those spiders!
Outstanding!
Great video buddy, love the final shot
“wow”. Love it.
I only found you yesterday and already I have learned heaps. Thank you! 😊
I love Star Wars so I’m so happy to see you do this
I’d say Boylei, you have to be my favorite content creator on TH-cam. I love your humor and story’s. Your video are so calming. Please continue to make more content like tiww and others. Thank you again!
This is awesome can’t wait to see more
My favorite part of this build is the switch disguised as a rock. Bravissimo!
That looks fantastic. Well done, sir!
i love this... rogue one is my favorite star wars movie so it's good to see it getting love like this, especially with such a powerful scene. Very well done.
Best one yet! The cork was a genius move.
That was amazing thank you!
Dude your ideas are top notch. This one's sick
Awesome build! It's comforting to know that even the pros super glue their fingers to the piece on occasion, 'cause that's totally my jam LOL.
That 2001 quilt is fantastic! You have talented fans :P
I absolutely love your starwars builds, keep it up bro🤘🖤
K&S precision metals should sponsor you at this point.
This came out awesome!!
Awesome job as always!
It is really cool that you are inspiring people to express themselves through art
Big Andor vibes with the eclipse in the beauty shots. Love it
Always happy to see boylei uploaded
Fantastic 👏👏👏👏
Beautiful work!
Great shots at the end
Oh, it's beautiful!
The rotation where it eclipsed the sun and fired was awesome.❤
That's awesome!!
Yup, that's awesome
A Father + Son Kamehameha would be sick!
I look forward to your Sunday videos just like I used to look forward to Saturday morning cartoons when I was a kid.
