the stormtrooper armor is not designed for defending against kinetic force (you can see their armor shattering in some cases), instead designed to distribute the energy from blaster bolts, which increases the chance of them simply being knocked out/being able to dust of shots instead of dying outright.
The Kinetic Force argument is really just plot armour and always seemed silly to me. The empire took over the galaxy with the help of the troopers but for some reason there armour sucks they can’t shoot, they are made out to be comply incompetent soldiers, especially in modern Star Wars Franchises
At the end of each school week, I show these videos to my students. They are glued to watching the process of creating the different dioramas and love seeing the big reveal at the end. Thanks Boylei! Keep it up!
Rogue One is my 2nd favorite film in the entire franchise - and honestly, when I think more about it, it may just be my most favorite. “Andor” has exceeded every single one of my expectations.
I'm always blown away because in the assembly stage I'm like "ya that's looking OK but also rough." Then you paint it and I'm like 😲. Also "enjoys spending time on the beach with their friends" is the most subtly savage way to describe those two characters ending.
@Boylei Hi Boylei. I am trying to respond to you youtube message about the "Giveaway package" i won and am unable to use Telegram for some reason. Sorry about that. I did email you and Face Book message you
Love Rogue One!!! Best Star Wars movie EVER! I'd love to see you do a diorama of Cassian and Jyn on the beach watching destruction coming at them. That was such a great scene.
Rogue One is probably my favorite movie in the franchise and you really captured its essence here. its crazy good! and to all the people who submitted their work for the contest; like, wow! y'all have real talent
Boylei is one of the coolest people on the planet. He’s just out here showing his version of a Minecraft world to people. His creativity is mind boggling
That 'Dambusters' model reminded me of Fallout: New Vegas. If you're ever interested in doing one of those battle of five armies things again, that's a fun theming for it
They once explained before the new canon that the Stormtrooper armor actually diffuses what would be lethal blows like laser shots through the whole body, this knocks them out rather than killing them, I'd imagine a baton to the head would have the same effect but I don't really know how accepted that is nowdays. Cool diorama as always btw
i wanna get into stuff like this but it just seems so deep. the way you so simple state your process within your builds rlly inspires me to get into this hobby
Currently on the first Jedi Academy book and reading on the other creator of the Death Star 😉. An amazing build, great detail as always. Loved seeing the other dioramas and the Dambusters one looked great.
Fantastic as always. I'm wondering if we're going to get some dioramas based on 'Andor' now that the series is on, the same as you did with 'The Mandalorian'?
@@MisterGames Out of curiosity, what don’t you like about Andor? Obviously the pacing is a bit slower than we’re used too these days but it’s been quite intelligently written and produced so far.
@@templar1701 So... Flashback tribe act like retards and no adults in the tribe. Tribe stays quiet while dead guy isnt dead and shoots leader THEN they yell. Mind you leader was hard of hearing cause we could hear him get up... The chain block room was just dumb, Andor leaves his most precious like Gyn left the holo disc so stupid. Andor in hiding with new ID blabs for some stupid insane reason where he is really from. Really? For what purpose did he do that? Cause he's a retard from a tribe of retards? It makes zero sense... Oh hey sexy girl btw you know how i said i was from Fess yeah well nah I'm really from Stupid Village Wold. There is literally not a single reason to blow the cover story like that... And the simp who betrayed Andor... See this is why you keep your stuff to yourself, you don't know who tells who tells who and who tells who.... Oh beware when the clanking stops. Clanking stops and literally nothing. The Simp runs at guys with guns literally wtf just so stupid. She gets unchained and is like oh my poor simp after knowing the simp is the reason all this crap is going down and he betrayed your most bestest friend ever. Andor know his sis was on X planet in Y brothel but not that she left 7 months ago or what her name was? What the? Idk man, your definition of intelligent writing and mine are not the same. So to sum up, dull boring and full of stupid. I don't like dull and boring and stupid turns me right off.
Excellent work, as always! I understand that the Star Wars Legion sets are approximately 1/48 scale. It might be interesting to see a future diorama showing Imperial Stormtroopers invading Earth, with a modern Earth tank vs. the Bandai AT-ST . . . .
I use a large number of plastic craft bags ( and sprue ) for my crafting projects :) As always, you did a fantastic job with your diorama - I love your attention to detail !
I'm a scale modeller and I have an A4 sized plastic bag full of all other plastic bags that comes with kits and figures. It's very nice to see the different shapes and feel the different textures of types of plastic bags.
As an avid legion player this might be my favorite video yet! So much inspiration for build techniques and terrain ideas. Also, my baggie collection is just about infinite at this point.
The answer to that is pretty simple. It´s not even halfway though trough gear and tech of Star Wars, as almost always. On the actual diorama, beautiful work.
Blunt weapons have historically been the most(?) effective way to injure someone in armor. Blunt force trauma can only be mitigated so much by armor padding or thickness and that trooper armor don't look that thick to me.
Nice project this week; very timely with Andor being released right now! I also like seeing your patron entries; they have come up with some really great stuff!
That palate peel was satisfying. I’m not certain if I enjoy your art or narration more. Thank you for sharing your talents. Why no lighted blaster bolts though?
Your videos are one of the highlights of the week. And Rouge One is my Star Wars favorite. Then I'm very jealous of your hobby shop you visit. Wish there was a similar "physical store" here in Stockholm, Sweden. -Niklas 😃🇸🇪
Found these figures in an online store in northern Sweden. Now I have these on the way home. Will probably try the game instead of building a diorama. 😃
Another job well done on your end, but I just have to acknowledge how good the submitted work was this time around. I was impressed with every single one.

Super77 spray glue is what you want for gluing foam. Cheap, sandable with no noticeable hard edges on glue lines, fast, and if you spray both pieces it’s permanent.
Wonderful job as always man! Your videos take me to a new world every time, always a joy. Truly my favorite channel on TH-cam, the videos are very zen!
Much like a turtles shell, the storm troopers armor isn’t actually separate from their bodies. They are modified in a secret horror lab in the lower regions of Coruscant where it is bonded to their inner organs. This is why they never remove their helmets. Finn hadn’t gone through the process yet. 🎉
As a tangent to the stormtropers gatting battered by batons, I want to mention that if you got a sword and want to fight against a heavily armored opponent with a helmet you would want to grip the sword by it's blade (yes, you can do so without cutting yourself) and use the handguard and pummel as a hammer. This is much more effective than you might think. Hitting an helmed opponent with such a heavy and blut object to the head would send him down dazed and nauscious.
Boy, practice really DOES make perfect, doesn't it..? Fantastic, Boylei! Can't wait for the next one. I HAVE A REQUEST FOR THAT NEXT STAR WARS DIORAMA... HOW ABOUT A CHIRRUT IMWE KICKING THE CRAP OUT OF SOME ST's? Love ya, bud!-Vic
the stormtrooper armor is not designed for defending against kinetic force (you can see their armor shattering in some cases), instead designed to distribute the energy from blaster bolts, which increases the chance of them simply being knocked out/being able to dust of shots instead of dying outright.
If an Ewok can take out a Stormtrooper using a blunt force attack, a human should have an even easier time.
@@och70 Ewoks are actually wildly strong they are like mini wookies
Or the writers were lazy… nah they’d never be lazy like that… right?
