- A teacher who was forced into exile after he showed a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed during a lesson was "let down" by his school, council and police - a government adviser has said.
The religious studies teacher faced death threats and was compelled to move house after protests outside Batley Grammar School in 2021.
The case was mentioned in a report by the government's independent social cohesion adviser Dame Sara Khan.

Of course you may already have, in which case I apologise, but speaking from my own experience as well as others he’s really not what I used to think. I realised one day I’d just absorbed the media portrayal but never really knew the whole story so went to find out. I now feel he’s been unjustly maligned. There’s a few interviews with him on TH-cam as well as an Oxford Union debate where he has the chance to tell his side of the story. Bottom line, I think his only crime is telling inconvenient truths whilst being working class.

Sharia law is already in Britain, namy the banking sector. It has been for approximately 20yrs that I know of. I found out through leaflets proudly displayed in my local TSB branch saying how to open a sharia bank account and all the benefits.
