Holly sh..t !!!! What a masterpiece!!!! 12:45 minutes of gold!!! How did they come up with these scenes? And on top of that…the best cast ever. Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer were simply from another planet.
The Italians interpreted American western movie history really well. Terrence Hill (Mario Girotti, March 29, 1939, Venice, Kingdom of Italy) would not appear in movies with gratuitous violence. He admired Laurel and Hardy.
@12:07 clever move! Terence Hill (Mario Girotti) is now 83 and as of a few years ago was still working in film. According to Wikipedia he is quoted having said that this film was his personal favorite.
They can`t make a great movie anymore! These are sit back, relax, and watch with a cold one movie. No politics, no CGI, and shut the damn phone off movie. :)
Well some of these movies do have some "CGI" .. No computers were involved, but there are some tricks there and there to "make the impossible plausible".. For reference, go look up the card cheat scene from "My name is Trinity". They do swap Terence for a card illusionist, but they also do some weird tricks with the film (playing in reverse for the most, some varispeed in some spots but that might be due to unintentional unstable repro speed)
Some scenes in this were filmed in the historic mining town of Mogollon, NM. I was in college then and some of my classmates worked on the film crew. Our band played the cast party at the Blue Front Bar in Glenwood, NM. It was summer 1973. There is still a building in Mogollon that was built by the crew for the film.
