At a white catholic I have no issue with the happy Ramadan lights, non Christians put up with Christmas lights. I am from East Malaysia and Malaysia as a whole is a Muslim country. We celebrate every festivals of the main religions. We have holiday on Good Friday and Easter holidays for the Christian schools. We as a country of mix culture and religion, we all celebrate togetherness. Actually we don’t even have Ramadan decorations 😅! We have easter eggs decorations in shopping malls etc. I don’t understand why UK or London is doing these things? I am a Muslim and I don’t agree what the Mayor of London is doing? In Islam we have to respect each other’s culture and in this case, your country is a Christian country and he has to respect that. If he is the mayor of our city here, he will be thrown out the next day! Silly man! 😠
Thanks for mentioning how Ramadan was being celebrated in such a grand way while Holi was completely snubbed as if the Hindu community doesn’t contribute at all to the growth of the UK..a prime example of the selective approach of leftists..having said that no festival can/should be celebrated over Easter in a country that has Christianity as its major religion & most importantly their identity..you go to Muslim countries & just see how minorities can’t even celebrate their festivals out in the open as they are completely oppressed…And the irony is same oppressors become victims of so called Islamophobia in foreign countries.. this is the core issue which nobody is ready to openly address…kudus to this news anchor for exposing this hypocrisy ..
