- A Cinematic Aerial tour the largest city between Tampa & Orlando, by Lakeland Real Estate Photographers, Celebrations of Tampa Bay. celebrationsoft....
We start off at the Lakeland Amtrak Station on beautiful Lake Mirror. We then fly across to the other side of Lake Mirror, over the beautiful Hollis Gardens. Hollis Gardens is a very popular location for outdoor weddings.
After a short flight over the Terrace Hotel, we fly over Florida Ave to the historic Polk Theatre with its blade sign "marquee". The Polk theatre was built in 1928 (2 years after the similiar Tampa Theatre), when the population of Lakeland was around 15,000, mostly a rural community.
Just across from the Polk Theatre is the Domed Clock Tower building of Regions Bank. We then head north over to Joker Merchant Stadium, the spring training home of the Detroit Tigers. We then fly over the two major roadways of Lakeland, interstate 4 & Us Highway 98.

Lake Mirror and Hollis Gardens at the beginning of this video are some of the best places in Lakeland.

Home (1954-1983) Lakeland will always be home in my heart. Second half of my life has been in WA state. Torn between two loves. Use to go to Polk Theatre on Saturday’s. Went to Combee, John Cox, Griffin, Kathleen Jr & Senior High.
We will be shooting in Washington State at the end of July, thats a beautiful part of the country.
Outstanding drone work! Some of the best I’ve seen. It’s hard to “walk” a drone at eye level but you did it.
lakeland 1964-67 was home, in the hot summer most of the neighborhood kids would all go to lake mirror and play with the gators and cool off, summer movie program at the polk theater for 6 RC bottle caps you could go to a movie there, keep your stub for the intermission drawing, they did give away prizes, i won once. i played little league baseball ,went to the old armory for wrestling on saturday, and during spring training, my dad helped build joker merchant stadium, and when they hit the ball over the fence we could have the baseball's, most kids had a few of them, i moved back in 1998 and sold our home in 2017, i hope to return some day.....thanks for memories

Hollis Gardens and the Promenade are the center piece of Lakeland. I like it when they do auto shows and concerts there.
I want to move my family to Lakeland. Any tips on good apartments in safe neighborhoods? My child is handicap, and im the only one working in the family. Any school recommendations?

Frank Lloyd Wright designed several structures on campus of Florida Southern College. When touring Lake Mirror, don't miss Hollis Gardens. Check out the Polk Museum of Art, and while you're there, see the waterfowl on Lake Morton. And a walk around the streets surrounding Munn Park. For starters. Googling "Lakeland FL attractions" will give you dozens of other great suggestions - depending on your interests.
