How To Have The Most Amazing Saturday In Lakeland, Florida!

I am so fortunate to live in Florida! Our weather allows us to be outside pretty much every day. Recently Roger and I hit up our favorite Saturday Farmers Market in Lakeland! Lots of food, crafts, plants and DOGS! OMG the amount of dogs walking around was AWESOME!

After picking up a few things at the market we made our way over to the Joinery for lunch. Their website describes the place as "A modern food hall + craft brewery on the banks of Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland, Florida". The restaurant list is as follows:

What a memorable place! Plenty of seating both inside and out this place is a gem. What I love most about it is even if Roger and I are craving different things (always a problem) we can both satisfy our cravings and still have dinner together. I can't wait to visit this place again!
After our delicious lunch we went to the Lakeland Antique Mall, located at 3530 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland, FL 33809. Not only do they cary the entire line of Dixie Belle Chalk Paint, which is my favorite for painting furniture but they also have a SPECIAL SURPRISE inside that has to do with Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando.
I had so much fun!

The new 110 million dollar Bonnet Springs Park in Lakeland is awesome that opened last October and it's free,free,free!

I live in Celebration and enjoy occasionally going to Lakeland.. My son just told me about that Antique Mall and said how great it is!! I will need to head that way soon.. Thank you for sharing..

No beach so I drive an hour all the time.
I do wish it was a little closer to the water.
Might want to check out Mulberry and Polk City in Polk County.
I’m working on a Winter Haven one right now but I’d love to hit up other areas in Polk County. I think people underestimate this county:)
Wow those disney stuff.... they are so overpriced! My husband worked for Disney and I don't know if you heard of Cast Connections before. That's a place where cast members can buy stuff like that but for super cheap. That $200 chair would probably be sold for like $20 there
I have heard of cast connections. I have always wanted to work at Disney… but the older I get, I can’t imagine working crazy winter hours!
@@erinthebackyardtourist6856 oh yes Yes it is crazy inside the parks during winter. My husband did computer science stuff at the office for them so at least he didn't have to deal with that craziness inside the parks 🤣.
I think you would lovvvee cast connections. They had so many items for so cheap.
the best thing I did was move from this city nothing to do, I live in Hallandale Beach Fl which is close to Miami and Hollywood Beach Fl the night life is great it's a lot of jobs that's available and paying good.
I really love Lakeland but I totally understand why someone wouldn’t like it there. I moved to the area from Englewood (west coast) and that area has a much older population. Lakeland/winter Haven are really attracting a lot of young families. I also love living right between Tampa and Orlando, but being in a small town.
