Hey, I've got a ps5 with an LG C1 Oled and when go to set up VRR, it says my tv does not support VRR. How do I fix that? I have my ps5 going into a brand new Onkyo 9.2 8k receiver.
Thank you, good video. Worth noting a few handy points: - To fully quit a game, just hover over the game in the home menu and press your options button > select close game - The reason PS5 works with the present HDMI 2.1 chipset bug is because its outputting using 4:2:2 chroma rather than 4:4:4 - all that means is its a less quality signal than it could be, but its better than no signal at all at this point!! When the HDMI 2.1 bug is fixed/replaced, we should hope to see the full 4:4:4 output in action.
I am using original xbox series x hdmi ultra high speed cable. I set up my xbox on 120hz 4k, and my tv q70t is updated to newest firmware 1403. my samsung q70t support VRR 4k in 120hz. It is flickering only in call of duty mw game. What is here the problem?? Is maybe the hdmi cabel issue of my xbox series x?
@@TechnoDad Went to local theater the other day to see WW87 (also saw it at home on release day). Actually think that my home movie experience was better (way better screen - I sit 6 feet way from screen at home to get that "immersive feeling"). Better home sound. Even with Enhanced enabled on my Denon AVR X6400, no HDR works while in 4K on the PS5. It was fine on the on the PS4 Pro. I wonder if the new consoles output higher bandwidth that the older non 8K AVR's can't accept.
Whatever the issue is here it's not the receiver causing it. I am currently playing Demon Souls on the PS5 running through an X6400H and can confirm that it handles 4K/60 HDR (in YUV 4:2:2) from the PS5.
THANK YOU!!! This was driving me crazy for a week and I couldn’t find the answer anywhere. My LGOLEDC7 was on the correct setting but my Marantz SR7012 was not. I can finally enjoy my PS5 now (no 120Hz for me yet though, it seems, need to update things).
I think if you were PS5 -> TV you would use eARC PS5 -> AVR you would not use eARC Supposedly VRR and ALLM take care of that. However you will notice that receivers will use en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transition-minimized_differential_signaling?wprov=sfti1 to achieve that. So instead of 60Hz/120Hz you will get something slightly less. So it does impact refresh rate.
Did you repeatedly press green button to check 4k 120hz because what you said works for me but drops resolution to 1920x1080. I got lg GX and denon 4700h. Not happy with it at the moment 😕,. It appears to work until you check when pressing green button lots to get freesync info.
Thank you I ran into the exact same issue where connecting my ps5 to the 8k input on the marantz I was getting no signal. Had to connect the ps5 to the Lg C9 directly to get full specs. Will try again when I get home to connect back to the AVR directly.
Than you mentioning turning on/off components after setting up your gear. I have the Denon 3700H and ran into a problem with that and my Oppo 203D. The problem being the Oppo would not put out any sound - regardless of all my troubleshooting over the course of almost a week. After pulling out most of what's left of my hair I remember talking to Oppo when I had a problem with my 103D. All I had to do was a hard reset on my Oppo203. Specifically, with the unit on unplug the 203 and turn the unit and bingo. Sometimes the easiest fix is the simplest fix. With the complexities of electronics these days it's a wonder that anything works.
XH900 with X3700H here.. Can't get it to work. Have the PS5 in the 8K in and the Sony connected to HDMI3 / ARC . AV switching off after Setting Enhanced 8k is not working at all. Only 4k@60hz. Changed cables to Club 3D 4k@120hz. Frustrating.. also newest firmware for the Denon!?
I decided to buy the X3600h and just used the eArc. Saved me a lot of money. Especially considering Denon is only supplying one HDMI 2.1 input. It was a huge step up over my old Onkyo TX nr777. Now I'm just waiting for my Xbox series X to come in the mail. Ordered it on launch day and it is not supposed to be here until the 23rd of December. I have no idea when I'm going to get a PS5. Hopefully soon because my LG C9 is craving for some high frame rates
thanks for this video, can you please tell me how to properly connect a PS5 to an NAD T778 home theater amp using a Sony XBR-65A8H TV? I am having trouble getting the correct picture and sound
@@TechnoDad the NAD T778 has a complicated set up process and you have to identify each source input and ensure it matches the tv output. My question is do you plug the PS5 directly into the tv or into the AV system for the best 4k picture and sound?
I have a Ps5 going through a denon sr5014 to a LG C9 65”. When I power everything up, I get no video signal but do get audio from Ps5, if I unplug the hdmi cable from receiver to tv and back in, it then pops up and works normally. I am using a high speed hdmi cable from Ps5 to receiver and from receiver to TV. Thoughts? Have performed updates on everything btw.
I have the SR7011 which I think do not support HDMI 2.1 waiting delivery Of PS5 and maybe later the LGC65. Should I still plug PS5 to AVR or direct to TV? What would I miss? Pros and cons? Thank you
So I have a Marantz SR5015 and a Sony x900h and PS5I have both set to the same 4k 120hz signal but my ps5 is not showing it after following your walk through and advice?
If you care about having the full bandwidth of your promised 2.1 point, I would still hold on to that receipt since the PS5 is not currently (at launch) at true 2.1 device. Still a great receiver if you don’t need the 2.1 bandwidth of the port.
@@CriPPleR_HD you don't need 48Gbps for any modern display. If you look at 04:21 in the video you will see that 4K@120P (12bit 4:2:2) being passed is just 32 Gbps. This signal far exceeds any modern display's color capabilities since they only utilize 10-bit panels. Whether it was native or upscaled by the source, the bandwidth is the same.
@@SoundUnitedTraining Hi Phil! I never said that you need the full 48gbs bandwidth of 2.1. To clarify, what I meant to say was that you do need the full 40gbs for 4K@120hz 10bit 4:4:4 chroma sampling. For whatever reason, the 2020 2.1 ports on the Denon / Marantz are not accepting this bandwidth. If @greg cares about having a working 2.1 port on his receiver that passes the full bandwidth of 40gbs that Xbox Series X and the RTX 30 series cards, he should hold on to his receipt until Sound United offers a solution. Never said it was a 48gbs issue.
@@CriPPleR_HD Once communication is established between the source (like a PS5) in FRL, the AVR will pass up to 40Gbps. Issues are communication-based, not due to bandwidth. BTW the RTX30 cards work, just make sure they are updated.

One question: If you plug a firestick or other device with HDMI 2.0 output into a HDMI 2.1 input and turn on 8K Enhanced, will the audio/video still be received/played correctly? From my understanding changing between enhanced and 8k enhanced changes the way the AVR communicates with the source device, not sure if the AVR is smart enough to still be backwards compatible with HDMI 2.0 devices if they are plugged into a HDMI 2.1 port on the AVR
Hi Ronz. I would think that it only affects the single 8K port. So if you have the PS5 there, you’ll be good. I would connect the fire stick to any other HDMI input.
Quick audio question for you: how can I ensure I'm getting the most out of my 5.1 surround sound with this setup? I've got an LG CX and Denon AVR-S960H.
what's the correct sound mode to select on the Avr for proper surround sound. (5.1 in my case at the moment. 7.1 coming soon). Game or Pure or a different option?
Do you hook up the ps5 to the tv's 4k/120 port or directly to the avr? I have a Sony A80J and a Onkyo TX-RZ50. I don't have a ps5 yet but want to get all this figured out first.
There’s a bug with the HDMI 2.1 chipset regarding Xbox Series X when trying to use 4K120Hz through an AVR to a TV that supports 4K120Hz like the LG CX. It was rumored to only effect the Series X and since I got my PS5, I was able to test it with the Marantz and the LG. Here’s a video about it - th-cam.com/video/0JYrjFZqQVA/w-d-xo.html
@@TechnoDad Thanks for the quick response. So I think I see why this may work. I’ve been checking out a few videos and trying to determine why this is the case. And you’ll have to bare with me, cause will be a bit lengthy. But I appreciate the read. What I’m working with: - XSX & PS5 - Yamaha RV-6VA (which I opted for because of the bug over the the Denon x6700h) - LG CX OLED For the PS5 I notice that regardless of what setting there is a max bandwidth of 32Gb/s - while on the XSX, I’m able to get 40 (max supported by CX). And that setting comes down to 4:4:4 vs 4:2:2 on the XSX and PS5 respectively. Me thinks, the reason why pass through works is because the unique configuration specifications of the PS5 somehow fall into tolerable setup. Now Yamaha doesn’t have 4K/120Hz pass through yet, and that I can confirm. So I tried turning off HDR on XSX and that still wouldn’t work. What are your thoughts? Also note I’m able to get full PC RGB which is 4:4:4 on PS5 by changing the input via the CX Home Dashboard from Game to PC.
Awesome, glad to know it’s working, though I just got the X3600H, so I’ll just connect the PS5 directly into the HDMI port on my LG CX for 120Hz and use eARC for audio via the AVR
I have a Samsung Q90T, Denon XH4500, and the Xbox Series X. After hours spent on the phone with Microsoft and Samsung I cannot get the Xbox to go to 4K at 120HZ. Can you help??
@@TechnoDad hey sorry to bother you I did like you said and I did get the 120 hertz and 4K but I'm not getting any sound out of the receiver now what should I do?
@lino grenci Now you have to connect the ARC (HDMI 3) on Q90T to Denon AVR's ARC. Then setup the Denon AVR for ARC. Go to 11:25 in this video - th-cam.com/video/Ik6Aco1w07g/w-d-xo.html
I'm curious, how did you get around the 30 Gb bandwidth limit the PS5 has. Seeing as you need 48Gb to deliver 4k/120 4:4:4 12 bit, this is amazing news.
@@TechnoDad have you seen Vincent his video on hdtvtest about xbox series x settings. I was wondering if you select 60hz on series x, are allm and vrr still working because the xbox switches to hdmi 2.0 (in that case my denon is a junk box and waste of money if solutions are offered somewhere in 2021) i need it because monitor 2 goes to my philips sync box so my compleet room (1200 euros of philips hue lights, leds, gradient leds etc) will change Colors during gaming which cannot be used now. Techno Dad thanks for getting back to me 🤟🏾 that’s great to know. I have the ps5. I hope it’s not the same issue. I will have with 8k lg nano. I am trying to make everything work together before I pull the trigger. My mind is so tired from doing so much research. That I tip my hat of to you and youtubers for taking the time doing the homework 😁
Hey Chana! I just tried something similar for the Denon 3700H and it works in 120Hz but a couple of things (perhaps a future video) - no VRR but that's a PS5 issue, and I'm seeing YCBCR422 8b 4L8 when running CODCW. I have the PS5 plugged into the 8K input and I have the CX connected via EARC to the Denon input. The receiver is set to 8K Enhanced. Is this the expected output? I'm getting these stats from the TV (mashing the green button to getFreeSync Information) since the Denon doesn't show video info. Thanks in advance!
This video was amazing TechnoDad. Just got a PS5, but it’s unfortunately paired with a 2016 Samsung & 2009 Pioneer AVR. TV upgrade coming in 2021, but looking for a solid AVR. Might wait to see more videos from you before making the change.
What port should ps5 go into back of my Denon x4700h? I tested straight to LG OLED with 2.1 and getting 120 hz but when I pass the ps5 into the Denon and run the 2.1 from the Earc port to Lg it only gives me 60 frames.
Hi Sam! First things first, you'll need two HDMI 2.1 cables, one from PS5 to AVR and another from AVR to TV. You need to connect the PS5 to the 8K input on the Denon X4700H and follow the instructions in the video to turn on 8K Enhanced mode. That should do it!
@@TechnoDad Thank you for asking and answering. I had a similar question. I am getting the Denon X2700H and Samsung QN90A and I was wondering the same thing about the number of HDMI 2.1 cables. One more follow up question...do I need to plug the cable into the eARC (input3) or the only 2.1 input (input 4)? I’m assuming the 2.1 input, but just wanted to make sure.
Hey Channa! I got a Denon X4500H. Yeah, no 120hz for me. What if I connect my PS5 directly to my LG C9 with HDMI 2.1 and my Denon with the TV with HDMI 2.0 and then switch to ARC? Is that gonna give me 120hz?
Interesting. You were running your Marantz on a 32Gbps FRL with 12-bit 4:2:2 chroma subsampling at 4k 120hz. Were you not able to do 40Gbps FRL with 10-bit 4:4:4 full chroma @ 4k 120hz?
Hi Technodad - I have a Marantz SR8012 - I know that at some point Marantz announced that the flagship will be upgradable to 8k - I contacted Marantz Europe and they replied around 2 months ago that when they will be ready they will announce the upgrade. Do you know anything about this. Thanks - regards from Poland
You aren't getting full 3840x2160 resolution at 120Hz, that's dynamic 4K resolution which is actually running at around 1440p. The PS5 upconverts all lower resolution games to 2160p and your TV and receiver read that forced output instead of the actual real-time resolution.
@@mattadam1759 - Series X upscales too if the content is lower resolution than the selected resolution output. Both PS5 and Series X support 4K 120Hz and 8K - however their hardware is limiting native 4K games to 30fps and 60fps at the moment for next-gen games with demanding graphics. 120fps is very much possible on next-gen console games, but only with resolution drops and ray-tracing disabled.
That You defeat the entire purpose of having an avr in the first place. You know better surround sound really and Avrs have 6-8 hdmi inputs so you don't need to plug /unplug stuff all the time . The video signal is usually set to passtrough anyway because TVs generally have better upscaling capabilities than avrs. However if your TV has earc ( enhanced audio return channel) you probably won't notice any difference!
4K120P (10bit 4:4:4) is just 40Gbps which the AVR will pass. You don't need 48Gbps for any modern display which all use 10-bit panels. If you look at 04:21 in the video you will see that 4K@120P (12bit 4:2:2) being passed is just 32 Gbps. This signal far exceeds any modern display's color capabilities since they only utilize 10-bit panels. No current HDMI 2.1 display can support more than that. Whether it was native or upscaled by the source, the bandwidth is the same.
Yep! I can confirm as well ! Seems the PS5 at the moment only use 4K@120hz 4:2:2 and 4@120 hz 4:2:0 . I did a couple of tests with my LG C9 and Denon X4700H .Sometimes I got some black screen issues, but the signal come back after turn off and turn on the AVR over and over.,Accordingly to the guys from AVS Forum, this bug is related to 4k@120hz 4:4:4 output only.
The issue with select HDMI 2.1 devices is a communication issue, not a bandwidth issue. Once communication is established between an HDMI 2.1 source, receiver and the display up to 4K@120hz 10bit 4:4:4 (40Gbps bandwidth) is supported.
Only 1 HDMI 2.1 input on any of these 2020 receivers that support 4K 120fps. That kinda sucks if you buy both PS5 & Xbox Series X. My goal is to wait until 2021 and hopefully those receivers will have full HDMI 2.1 ports.
After 5 years, I'm back gaming, and I have some 1st world problems now. In the past, I never bothered about the best TVs and/or receivers, simply because even spending 200 euros for a TV for me was a miracle as I was dead broke; now fast forward 5 years I'm doing a little better than that and I just got a PS5 last week along with an LG CX; now the question is, as I'm completely clueless about these receivers, what would the advantage be in buying one of these as compared to sticking to current setup? Considering that I don't care about sound quality because I'd rather spend 1k on a pair of headphones before buying a soundbar or stuff like that, is there any sensible improvement in graphics, fps etc. while playing games online if I get one of these??
I believe there is no video processing ... its all about the sound quality of the AR, and its ability to send to multiple speakers. Go for your headphones and forget the receiver!
Hi, I've got one question. But I habe to say, I'm currently at work, so I don't have the time to watch the full Video. My question is: Are there any problems with the "Marantz NR1510"? (PS5 / Q90T / 5.1 Speaker) Sorry if the answer is in your video. But like I said, I don't have the time right now :/ Greetings from Germany
@@deadmankino I think so too, but just for convenience of not having too much things to turn on, plus I don't have news yet of any new Blu Ray player that stands out or if there r any new 8k future proof players with earc and new bells and whistles, but it maybe too early to say but thank u for the comment! I may just get one if I can also have budget for home theater sound system
The reason that the PS5 is not having the issue is because it is not using 4K@120 with 10bit 4:4:4 chroma sampling. The problem is bandwidth. Thing to keep in mind that 120hz mode in CoD is not 4K. Your PS4 is pretty much using HDMI 2.0 bandwidth hence no compatibility issues. The moment that PS5 supports 4K@120 10bit, 4:4:4 (which is why we need 2.1) the Marantz will run into the same issue as it has with the RTX 30 series and the Xbox Series X.

Question if I’m playing WarZone, that doesn’t support 120hz, can I just go back into the PS5 settings and turn the resolution on for the better picture ? Pretty much asking, for games that runs 120hz I can switch ps5 to performance and games that only run 60hz (like WarZone) switch to resolution ?

Why is the PS5 chroma subsampling 422? It should be fully capable at 60 or 120hz to run HDR and 4k resolutions at 444. As a fellow tech nerd, this bothers me
So PS5 is using compression 4K120 HDR unlike Series X which only uses uncompressed 4K120?
No, PS5 is using different FRL patterns than the XSX for tranfering 4K120.
Makes sense to me, PS5 was supposed to come out last year so it has all those things sorted out 😅🤷♂️ older hardware not surprised
No the ps5 is sending out uncompressed , the factor is that Marantz , Denon , Yamaha all use the same Panasonic chip , hence comparability

Thank you, good video. Worth noting a few handy points:
- To fully quit a game, just hover over the game in the home menu and press your options button > select close game
- The reason PS5 works with the present HDMI 2.1 chipset bug is because its outputting using 4:2:2 chroma rather than 4:4:4 - all that means is its a less quality signal than it could be, but its better than no signal at all at this point!!

Can i place denon 250 in e arc
What's better what are the HDMI cables that you recommended in your last video or the audioquest cinnamon 48gb 16ft
thanks for this video, can you please tell me how to properly connect a PS5 to an NAD T778 home theater amp using a Sony XBR-65A8H TV? I am having trouble getting the correct picture and sound
Hi Ray! What problems are you having? I don't have an NAD T778, but I know a friend who has one.
Thank you for the vid! Ive been looking for AVR for the PS5 for quite awhile now. U earned a sub!

I have the SONY 295ES Projector...does anyone know what setting I must have for it? I have a Marantz SR6012?
Thanks for making this video, I was holding on to my receipt for my Denon 2700H just in case
Right on!

How about the new Yamaha RX-A2A? Did it fix all the gaming bugs?
Was this a console problem or receiver problem? Should I get a Denon receiver and wait on the series X or wait on both?
Wait on the AVR as it seems like the wrong chip in the AVR.
@@TechnoDad yamaha has stated their hdmi boards will be the same on newer models as last model. Does this mean they're just fixing the problem via firmware? Read what yamaha said below

Why does it say 32Gbps in the Marantz infos after turning everything on in the video?
Because that is the limit of the HDMI 2.1 in the PS5.
@@KimDahl77 But that‘s not enough for 4K 120Hz HDR at 4:4:4. I think it‘s not even enough for 4:2:2.
Will the LLmode and freesync mode for samsung 90ts work with the new amd graphics cards? It should be the same with the amd card in the ps5 right ?
what's the correct sound mode to select on the Avr for proper surround sound. (5.1 in my case at the moment. 7.1 coming soon).
Game or Pure or a different option?
I would choose Dolby Audio from the colored buttons. Otherwise, pure direct would only be stereo.
Do you hook up the ps5 to the tv's 4k/120 port or directly to the avr? I have a Sony A80J and a Onkyo TX-RZ50. I don't have a ps5 yet but want to get all this figured out first.
Can you just run HDMI from the ps5 to the tv and run a optical cable from the tv to the receiver? That’s if you have like a sr7013
Yes, but you will not have any immersive sound formats through optical.
Plus youd most likely introduce a bit of latency
Does this work on a Denon 2019 model? I have the S750H
If not is there anything I can do cheaper than buying a new AVR?
I'm new to this tech, is there a reason you can't use lg cx with an avr and ps5 if you want to 4k 120hz?
There’s a bug with the HDMI 2.1 chipset regarding Xbox Series X when trying to use 4K120Hz through an AVR to a TV that supports 4K120Hz like the LG CX. It was rumored to only effect the Series X and since I got my PS5, I was able to test it with the Marantz and the LG. Here’s a video about it - th-cam.com/video/0JYrjFZqQVA/w-d-xo.html
Question: Is this the pass through settings or is this processing?
Hi Moose! Passthrough.
@@TechnoDad Thanks for the quick response. So I think I see why this may work. I’ve been checking out a few videos and trying to determine why this is the case. And you’ll have to bare with me, cause will be a bit lengthy. But I appreciate the read.
What I’m working with:
- XSX & PS5
- Yamaha RV-6VA (which I opted for because of the bug over the the Denon x6700h)
- LG CX OLED
For the PS5 I notice that regardless of what setting there is a max bandwidth of 32Gb/s - while on the XSX, I’m able to get 40 (max supported by CX).
Does it give any noticable improvements to the image quality while using the av receiver for the video processing ? Any input lag increase noticed ?
The AVR is not processing any of the video. It’s just to send audio to the sound system.
I have a DENON X6700 and PS5 but trying this didn’t work…. What’s wrong with my setup?
That’s odd, it should work. I have the X6700H now and it works fine. What TV do you have?
Technodad Thank you for making this video!! I can now peel off the stickers on my X2700H ready for my PS5 being delivered tomorrow!
Looking at this same model. How has it worked for you with the PS5?
So only the PS5 isn't susceptible, it's just the Xbox Series X. So if you have both, you'd still want to opt out that configuration?
Awesome, glad to know it’s working, though I just got the X3600H, so I’ll just connect the PS5 directly into the HDMI port on my LG CX for 120Hz and use eARC for audio via the AVR
I'm going X3600H into the C9 ... the denon is in the post to me know! I'm still anxious though. Is it working perfectly for you?

Hi Sam! First things first, you'll need two HDMI 2.1 cables, one from PS5 to AVR and another from AVR to TV. You need to connect the PS5 to the 8K input on the Denon X4700H and follow the instructions in the video to turn on 8K Enhanced mode. That should do it!

You aren't getting full 3840x2160 resolution at 120Hz, that's dynamic 4K resolution which is actually running at around 1440p. The PS5 upconverts all lower resolution games to 2160p and your TV and receiver read that forced output instead of the actual real-time resolution.
Yeah, it’s all upscaled, I said that in a previous video.
Yeah, correct!
Soooooo series x doesn’t upscale?
So you saying it’s 2020 and the ps5 still can’t do native 4K? Why is that?
@@mattadam1759 - Series X upscales too if the content is lower resolution than the selected resolution output. Both PS5 and Series X support 4K 120Hz and 8K - however their hardware is limiting native 4K games to 30fps and 60fps at the moment for next-gen games with demanding graphics. 120fps is very much possible on next-gen console games, but only with resolution drops and ray-tracing disabled.

What is the difference if i put my ps5 like this: ps5-tv-avr instead of ps5-avr-tv
There may be a chance of getting some lip sync issues by going through the TV to the AVR, but that can always be adjusted in the TV.
@technodad, what if my tv can produce 8k resolution, and my avr specs only 4k, does that mean i can only produce 4k resolution?
@technodad...is this passing a full 4:4:4 chroma subsampling stream through the AVR?
This is 4:2:2 but I think that's a limitation with the PS5 and there's no way for me to specify 4:4:4 on it.
Whether it was native or upscaled by the source, the bandwidth is the same.
pretty sure the PS5 only does 32 Gbps which comes out to 4:2:2
@@MrDugath why is my ps5 hdcp 1.4

I see, so the 4:2:2 is a limitation of the PS5 and the Xbox supports 4:4:4 and that just won't work.
@@TechnoDad exactly!
The issue with select HDMI 2.1 devices is a communication issue, not a bandwidth issue. Once communication is established between an HDMI 2.1 source, receiver and the display up to 4K@120hz 10bit 4:4:4 (40Gbps bandwidth) is supported.
@@SoundUnitedTraining so do I buy a new avr right now? I'm looking at the marantz 6015... is it worth it to buy it
Only 1 HDMI 2.1 input on any of these 2020 receivers that support 4K 120fps. That kinda sucks if you buy both PS5 & Xbox Series X. My goal is to wait until 2021 and hopefully those receivers will have full HDMI 2.1 ports.
Yeah, waiting is the best bet.

This could be why the PS5 does not currently support VRR. 🤔

BTW, whether it was native or upscaled by the source, the bandwidth is the same.
good Tutorial, as always mate.
THANK YOU!!!! This was driving me mad !
You’re welcome!
@@TechnoDad By the way, do you know how to get the 5.1 sound with ps5/Denon combo? I'm on PCM setting but I have only my L+R working like I'm in 2.0 Stereo. ( game: Days Gone )
Why is the PS5 chroma subsampling 422? It should be fully capable at 60 or 120hz to run HDR and 4k resolutions at 444. As a fellow tech nerd, this bothers me
4K Blu-ray are encoded in 10bit 4:2:0. The chroma signal is upconverted to 4:4:4 by the blu-ray player or TV/Projector prior display.
