I think that Magenta is too similar to dark pink, and Gold looks bad in my opinion (I think the pearl gold plastic looks cheap, and I think it would really clash with the existing matte spacemen). I personally went with Dark Turquoise because it is such an iconic LEGO color like the existing spacemen are, as well as being another cool toned spaceman to put between green and blue

Unfortunately, I doubt a complete purple figure will ever be released, but the helmet and artab=nks have come down in price considerably, so it's just the space creature, or the torso on it's own which is the hard part to get. Yes, thy have given the fan vote for a space and castle minifig, but no one is speculating on what the other figures will be. They might just be standard everyday City figures, or Lego could be planning on re-booting some other classic themes.
I voted for the lime one. I really like that colour and working on my own version of "Every spaceman is awesome". Today I'll recieve the Exo suit with the green spacemen. Helmets are also on their way from Denmark 😊. And I voted for the Kraken, since I also really like pirates-themed minifigs.
Look, I’ve wanted a dark azure AND a gold spaceman for a while. But I’ve realized a gold one would be so much better than dark azure, but hopefully someday! Also, I decided to go kraken on the faction one, sorry Jez!

HI Jez! I love this vote, but I am still miffed we had to scavenger-hunt to build our Purple Space Mini-Figure. Not cool, Lego! Mine got a loose arm at the shoulder.. Ouch. But among these new options, I like Azure, Magenta and Gold. We still need Sky (light) Blue, trans-clear, dark red, glow-in-the-dark and Safety Yellow! I am also pleased that the new Gift With Purchase has another Orange one because I never got that book. Basically, we need all colors to appear in the BAM bins like they are doing with those Brick-Body pieces! Great video!

Unfortunately, I think those curved bricks are only available in one of the new colours. So I'm going to have to have a think about how to update the display if the spaceman is NOT one of the available colours!!!!
Honestly I don't mind too much when it comes to what spaceman colour wins any of them will make a fine addition to my collection. Personally voted for the Teal spaceman and the kraken knight faction.

In my opinion, we should get gold because for every spaceman, we could have called color by just one simple word. (for example brown, gray, green, pink) but with these new colors, all of them except gold look similar to existing colors, so we can't call them 1 word. The light blue will also be cools because the original everyone is awesome has a light blue color. also if you want to add the new color to your display, the modified dimensions would be 24 x 17 studs. ( number of spacemen * 2 ) x ( number of spacemen + 5 )
I like your reason for choosing Gold, and you're right, I'm going to need to buy a lot of parts... I just hope whatever colour is chosen, that the curved bricks are available in that colour !!!!
@@MinifigJez wait you're right. The arches aren't available in pearl gold unfortunately. Fortunately though, a similar piece IS available in pearl gold. (Slope, Curved 3 x 1 x 2 with Hollow Stud) tho it has studs on the top

I voted Teal and Krakens, but actually, I’m just pleased that one of the minifigures will be Classic Space in a new colour and another will be Castle. To be honest, I’d settle for any new colour and Castle faction 🙂

The extra colors for the spaceman are kinda useless like the turquoise, the yellowish, and the magenta. A gold one would be sick but I think it should be waited out till we have most of all other colors. So the light blue is perfect.
I went with gold mainly because I think it was supposed to be in the recent CMF(since it’s a celebration of space) but decided not to because of the previous series having a spaceman and wanting to save it for an expensive set and low and Behold it's up for vote to be in an expensive set.

I have always been a fan of the Lime Green color, so that was my choice, but I would also appreciate the Dark Turquoise or Dark Azure. The magenta just feels too similar to the dark pink. And while the gold would be the most unique color choice I think it feels off from classic spaceman look. I truly hope that Lego would offer more options for the new colors outside of this ideas set after this set is released. I want to army build. Hard to do with a set that will be at a minimum $100. Not being a castle fan, but I am loving the Kraken logo, so I voted for that one. But I really have no horse in that race overall. I think a castle theme that is water based would bring some great set options for the future.

Bulls and lime are what I’m voting for (my brother voted for bulls) gold should be saved until classic Lego space turns 50 and they’ll probably just make the rest eventually regardless of whether they won or not

Thanks for the comment, and you've got great arguments for both. I was torn between Kraken and Griffin, but went for Griffin, because like you, I thought Kraken was too water-based. And yes, teal is definitely a favourite of Lego's right now! Hopefully we'll know soon what the outcome of the vote was.

Wish they had the light blue spaceman, I found a light blue legs and torso. Wish I knew where it comes from. It looks official. Having the Lego logo on the connection studs.
You've got a LIGHT blue classic space torso????? That's never been released in an official set, so it could be a test piece (sometime Lego do test-runs of parts in different colours) OR it COULD be a sticker (as there are some classic space torso stickers of clear backs, so you can apply them to any torso) If it's a real Lego piece, and a printed logo, it's a rare find !

We need lime because the green are much less than the others. I also would choose cyan but since the new dark blue one. I think i would wait cyan a bit Magenta: eh... purple? Red? Pink? Be careful, there are several sellers on eBay selling spacemen in light blue etc, but they don't have helmets or air tanks in the matching colours\ This is because they are CUSTOM made by other people with CUSTOM printing. So they are genuine Lego parts, BUT the spacemen aren;t made by Lego. I only know of the existing 11 colours that are GENUINE Lego minifigures.
I saw the light blue one on eBay last week with nothing saying it’s a custom. To me that means you can’t trust anything else they’re selling as being genuine.

@@MinifigJez yes it had a different helmet and tanks but then the Lego grey, purple and green ones also had to be built up from separate parts. I’m sure if asked they’d explain but a shame they didn’t make it clear in the description. Another seller has them in various colours including gold with a description repeatedly saying made by Lego. No mention that the space logo has been added by anyone other than Lego. Just have to be careful who you buy from.

The grey is also one you had to piece together. The purple was much easier to do since they put the helmets and oxygen tanks on Bricks & Pieces.

Not being a castle fan, but I am loving the Kraken logo, so I voted for that one. But I really have no horse in that race overall. I think a castle theme that is water based would bring some great set options for the future.

I’m late to the party here but I would vote for teal just for the fact that it’s a color Lego right back from the dead recently and would be really cool to see it represented as a space man and as for castle going with kraken sense it sush a fun idea for a faction though it does feel a bit piratety
Thanks for the comment, and you've got great arguments for both. I was torn between Kraken and Griffin, but went for Griffin, because like you, I thought Kraken was too water-based. Dark azure aka Light Blue. A more perfect match for the color/colour spectrum ROY G BIV...red, orange, yellow, green, (LIGHT) BLUE, indigo, violet...

Wish they had the light blue spaceman, I found a light blue legs and torso. Wish I knew where it comes from. It looks official. Having the Lego logo on the connection studs.

That's never been released in an official set, so it could be a test piece (sometime Lego do test-runs of parts in different colours)
OR it COULD be a sticker (as there are some classic space torso stickers of clear backs, so you can apply them to any torso)
If it's a real Lego piece, and a printed logo, it's a rare find !

Be careful, there are several sellers on eBay selling spacemen in light blue etc, but they don't have helmets or air tanks in the matching colours\
This is because they are CUSTOM made by other people with CUSTOM printing.
So they are genuine Lego parts, BUT the spacemen aren;t made by Lego.
I only know of the existing 11 colours that are GENUINE Lego minifigures.
I saw the light blue one on eBay last week with nothing saying it’s a custom. To me that means you can’t trust anything else they’re selling as being genuine.
@@alisonbailey-c8u That's good reasoning to go along with! - If you messaged them they would probably admit it, but they just aren't drawing peoples attention to it. - I think the clue is that they aren't coming with matching helmets and air tanks.
@@MinifigJez yes it had a different helmet and tanks but then the Lego grey, purple and green ones also had to be built up from separate parts. I’m sure if asked they’d explain but a shame they didn’t make it clear in the description. Another seller has them in various colours including gold with a description repeatedly saying made by Lego. No mention that the space logo has been added by anyone other than Lego. Just have to be careful who you buy from.
