I got the Pink Space Baby early - Lego CMF series 26 - 3 Classic Space babies

- I managed to get the Android Nurse and Pink Space Baby 4 days early before it's launch on 1st May.
So my "Every Space Baby is Awesome" display now has THREE babies!

I think it's probably more likely that there will be more space babies in the future rather than more micro astronauts. So I think the logical choice is the blue space baby.
Lets hope son they are incredibly cute !

@@skosh1160 If you download teh "Brick Search" app, yo can scan the square matrix code on teh bottom of the box (next to the bar code) and it will tell you which figure is inside.
The beds in the Galaxy Explorer work really well as cots because of the gaps made for the air tanks on the regular minifigures. Thats how i have my blue space baby displayed and I'll be doing the same with the pink one when i finally get my hands on one.

I have the Galaxy Explorer (both the 1979 and the 2022 versions) but I haven't built the recent one yet, so I had no idea that they had spaces specially made for the air tanks.

I think, since Blue Space Baby was the first of both, being either baby or spaceman, that it should be the one in this line up.

Nice that you got it early, I like the blue baby version better next to the pink one. You could add the blue micro spaceman to your original display. A local store had the cmfs out early today. Scanned about 30 boxes with the app, no space nurse/pink baby. Sigh. I did pick up Orion (he's great) and the UFO dish head/space print outfit guy at least.

Even if I'm not sure which eyes I prefer, my take is: go for the first Space Baby that came out, OR, even if I'm aware of how disruptive it may be, put the both of them on the display. The second one on the back.

Congrats on the pink space baby! I got one already. I found an almost new case of space CMFs two weeks ago and picked two at random…one just happened to be the robot nanny figure! 👍🏻

I managed to find a box early but only got the ice planet,retro girl, spacewalking astronaut and the alien beeltezoid that I most wanted no nurse, blacktron or mtron all be scalped for army building ugh, got from morrisons tried two others already been sold out. Nice space baby display wishing we get more babies in different colours and can't wait for the next video of your review.
That happens in my local Tesco, all the good ones go quickly. I was at a Lego show in Southampton today and some of the sellers had them out early there too.

And yes, I saw Iain there, and had a nice long chat with him when it got quieter (It was VERY busy at the start) and I bought two sets and some baseplates from him.

@@MinifigJez I now got 8 of the 71046 sets found a brand new box in morrisons today just need the imposter, flying saucer guy suit, orion and the robot butler my least favourite minifigures of the series I await a discount or further down the year, please share your thoughts.
i think it should be V shaped, astronauts on one side, babies on the other. At least until theres enough of each to make 2 separate displays

But I can't put the two blue stripes next to each other though, so I guess, blue > pink > white > blue.

Yes, that would be a good idea. I don;t want to make teh blue stripe double the width of teh others, so I'd have to either "stack" the blue figures somehow, or make ALL three stripes 4 studs wide. Thanks for the idea.

@@BrickBuilderStudio. They do have air tanks on their back, but someone suggested a 2x2 turntable with a plate/2x4 jumper on top, which would look cool. You could turn it round to either one.
Nice find! I think the baby blue should go on instead of the astronaut version seen as it came out first! Me and my dad have been hunting our local Targets and been seeing if they have early releases. They had the May Space minifigure displays and and Space LEGO bins as well as some other sets but not Series 26 and no Orange Spaceman plush 😢. Also question, do you have the spaceman plushes? Just curious about how many people have the plushes
I'm from the UK, and they were originally only sold in the USA, but... I DO actually have a complete set of the spaceman plushes!!!
They are re-releasing them though, in other countries.
I like both faces but prefer the one with the normal face so that they match with the other spacemen a little more

Fantastic. The nurse fig is great, too. There must be a Space Hospital - or "Star Ward" - somewhere on the schedule. Swap out the wig, the head, maybe get some Stormtrooper legs with a similar kneepad pattern, bosh. Have you thought about incorporating the starfield bases into the display?
I love the new star field mining plates, but I'm not sure how I would incorporate them, and still be able to keep the coloured stripes. I definitely need to think about how I could add one or more in though. - Thanks for the idea.

I’m guessing the next probably space baby release will be a new space baby colour, so I would probably go with the space babies… however I do like the original spaceman look.
It's difficult to tell, we've got babies with minifigs in CMF series' but micro astronouts in a set, so I guess it depends on what Lego decide to make more of, Micro sets, or minifigs with babies!!!

someone on reddit made a light yellow one by putting a white one in the sun for waaay too long. I think that's also possible with the white one.

I would say keep the blue space baby in the newer display with the pink space baby, and have the white and blue micro spacemen on the older one so that they are two separate display pieces, and also in case they ever decide to make an actual white space baby.
Yes, that's a good solution, I think I'd be sad to have two displays of two figs, instead of one display with three on it though.

Yes, a classic Lego smiley face is very cool, but from the many many comments so far, I fear that the classic face option is definitely the less popular one. :(

I think if you want the white space baby to have the baby face you could get a baby mini fig and swap the heads
Unfortunately, the head is a single dual molded piece with the helmet and oxygen tanks. You cannot just switch out the head portion.
Yes, unfortunately, like @bricks_in_space said, it's one piece, so you can't swap the head. Otherwise it would be the PERFECT solution!

I wasn’t sure if Bricksearch had yet been updated with the space series. As of May 1, I have yet to get a successful scan on any I have tried. With that said, I wasn’t able to get a scan a good number of Series 25 codes either.
There are two different types of QR code, some boxes have a larger one on them (ike the one in my space baby video) and some have a smaller code on them.
The smaller codes don't work!

make the blue portion 3 studs wide, and do off set jumpers to have both blue to bridge the pink and the white ...
That's a good idea, but I think that I would have to make the other stripes 3 studs wide to match too. I've had a lot of good suggestions, so if another colour is released, I'll have to make an upgrade of some kind!

Yes, they make AWESOME custom minifigures, but because it's a custom colour and not a Lego made one, I wouldn't add it to this display.

Turntables come in blue, but I;d have to ad some plates, with jumpers on them to put them back-to-back without their air tanks bashing into each other.
I'll have a think and see what I can come up with.

Put the Micro back on their own display... Then keep the babies separate.
So I'd have one display with a white and blue micro
and one display with a blue and pink baby.
It would solve the problem, but might not look as impressive
@@MinifigJez, do it AnyWay. You'll have 3 displays, which beats 2, with 1 of them being a bit MisMatched.
@@PirateJohnson The only problem is that I have lots of blue and soon pink space babies, but I only have ONE blue. and white micro astronaut. (and they aren't cheap to buy!!!) If their price drops, I might try and get more to develop the display into multiple displays. Thanks for the comment.
@@MinifigJez if you just have the 2 Micros on 1 side, the main display in the middle, and the SpaceBabies on the other side, I don't see any issue. With multiples, I guess you could make a CheckBoard, any ither MOC, or do EveryOther jumper in each row. IDK what needing more would stop ya from doing, unless you have some plans other than a couple displays.

I think getting the robot nurse in a teal colour is the nearest minifigure we can use on the everyone is awesome set that you used to make your every classic spaceman is awesome set, what do you think?
I would only add it to my spaceman display if she had a classic space logo on here, but she will definitely go into my CMF collection with all the other series.

@@Daniel-w9k6r I won't be getting any new Star Wars sets tomorrow, I might get the Barc Speeder for the minifigs, but the others don't interest me, and there's no hurry to get the speeder.
I won't be getting the City Space combo pack, as I already have all three of the sets that it contains!
I will be doing a City Space video, but it was more urgent to get my Southampton show and Space CMF videos out while they were current.
There is lego ideas set that has 5 new space babies and a new dark gray one. (If it gets 10000 supporters it could become official)I think if you make a video telling people to support it, it can reach 10000 supporters
I have a long list of videos to make, but if I have time I will have. look at it.

It's a good idea, but I think having 2 Blue stripes would make it look too uneven.
Depending on what comes next, I might give it a try though.
longer rows, 2 jumpers per row. as was already mentioned in an earlier vid ^^
one blue fig would block the view of teh other blue fig through, unless I made the row double width, which would a bit odd, unless... I made ALL the rows 4 studs wide, and had two blue figs in the blue row.
The display stand is too thick, should make the colors one stud wide only instead of the current two
If we get lots more colours, I think I will do that, but at the moment with only three, I think it will look too small. But that's definitely an upgrade idea for the future. Thanks for the idea.

I would't want to make teh blue stripe twice as wide as teh other two stripes, but if I could come up with some way of stacking them, it could be a good solution.

That would be the perfect solution BUT...
unfortunately, the head, helmet and air tanks are one moulded piece, that sits on top of the body.

You can;t separate them though, it's what Lego call "duel moulded" like lego minifigure arms which come as "short sleeves" so the top half is a different colour to the bottom half, the plastic is joined when it's made, it's not two separate parts glued together. No way to get them apart as it's not two parts !

We might get more micro spacemen with the Space monorail, gift with purchase which is in the pipelines. But with Lego, it's anybody's guess !!!

@@MinifigJez yep and i have added my own mini figure self to this small army since i already have multiple commanders for the black falcons army i have so the number i currently have of the series 25 vampire knight is 7 and i need 9 more but with the majority of the boxes having unreadable QR codes it will be difficult but not impossible

Because unfortunately, the head, the helmet and air tanks are all one piece. They are moulded together as one piece of plastic and can't be taken apart.

THAT would be the perfect solution, but...
...unfortunately the face, helmet and air tanks are all one folded piece, the head doesn't come out separately. So a baby is just two parts, body and everything else.
